  1. Hmmm, this is hard for me.  I tend to love all kinds of genres and sounds.  Usually I just sample music until something just feels right, then I fall in love, haha!  I'm usually not a fan of screaming but when it comes to MEJIBRAY and Dir en Grey, I find the growls and screams strangely comforting and unique that I love it!  For the most part, I love music with defined styles like you said.  Just buying a cd from one of my favorite bands, ripping it onto my iPod and then playing on shuffle, never hearing the song before and I can instantly tell it is them, that right there is awesome! xD

  2. Aaaaand I'm listening to them right now *__* boy, so far, the songs in their debut album are nice~ much different from what I normally hear from Diru. Now I definitely know why people complain about their "current style" and miss their older style.

Not going to lie, love their old stuff.  I've been listening to them since 1999 so it may be nostalgia...but I love their new stuff as well.  Lotus is amazing haha.  But most of my favorites are pre-2006.

  3. I love this band. Although some releases are kind of bad.  But I love the cheesy synths lol.  I don't mind the auto tune that much.  I was a big fan of Vidoll and love Rame.  I like how they have a somewhat original sound compared to most visual kei bands.  And Ice's voice is really nice.

  4. Waaaah I love this band.  It's another band to me where all the songs are awesome and haven't found one I don't like.  Tsu made me fall in love with his screams and growls <3

  5. I love these <3

Oh I forgot to add, I would be listening to a lot of electronic rock music if I had no Japanese music lol.

How much does Japanese music add to your life?

I would say a lot of my life lol.  I usually listen to it everyday and it takes up 90% of my iPod.  When I'm sick I usually watch Dir en Grey lives...and my walls are covered with them.  HAHA, wow.  Adds a lot.

Would there be any benefits to not having it, like a heavier wallet or bigger bank account? Or is it just plain worth it?

Fuck yeah my bank account would be higher and my wallet fatter.  But it's worth it to me, I guess.  Because I love them and their music so much and want to support them even though I am broke as fuck most of the time, oh well.  I love it.

Do you have irreplaceable friends you found through Japanese music?

Maybe a few online, everyone I have known in real life just makes fun of me or tells me to shut the fuck up about Japanese music.  Except my Husband, after our first date we sat on the floor drinking beers, each taking turns on youtube showing off our favorite Japanese bands PV's.

Has it opened up your life more? Gave you an interest in Japanese culture? How would your interests change if you didn`t have this music?

I have always had an interest in Japanese culture when I got into Final Fantasy when I was seven-ish.  I would probably always feel incomplete as sad as that sounds.  When I discovered Japanese music, mostly Visual Kei, I was like 'fuck yes, this is what I have been missing!'  Other wise I would still love other Japanese things, like their awesome video games and snacks!
