Waru Chibi 142 Posted August 11, 2016 there are different taxes you have to pay. like in EU, too when you work. a worker pays many taxes and so does a musician. USA is on 1st place when it comes to taxing music, japan is second, Germany is 3rd... I dunno how high the taxing is. but 8% is just the VAT (everyone needs to pay when buying items) that's not too much >D (around 8843€) but not too bad either. still they are a small lable. Sure they'll call it rare or limiterd but it's not a bitch fight over "i have one out of XY"!...you just have a limited cd >D
BrenGun 2261 Posted August 11, 2016 (edited) Oh... that kind of tax. But isn't that for everyone who runs a business? to pay off every month or year the taxes about the earned money? EDIT: it's about 884300 euro 8843 euro would be a bit too less ^^" so inside kiwamu's company is lots of money. Edited August 11, 2016 by BrenGun
Waru Chibi 142 Posted August 11, 2016 Oh i forgot one 0 -.- makes sense sure everyone has to do that, but differently and music is taxed very high with all sorts of things i think that's why cds are so expensive in Japan. also dvds (movie dvds too) cost a lot ... BrenGun 2261 Posted August 11, 2016 I wonder how much it really does cost for them. because you also see bands who release full albums for only 2000-2500yen. at least one of my friend bands (no vkei, released recent an album for 2000yen) Which is kinda a normal price for European releases. I still don't get why American movies are that expensive in Japan. kinda 3000,4000yen for a single movie?! However that keeps RENTAL shops active. which all died where I live. after all FIXER release is 3500yen 2 PV 7 live video. 45min. Well would be nicer if it was 3000yen. But yeah would be nice if it wouldn't be anymore "100 copies only". And since this is own production.... there should actually 0 limit. Kinda to produce more if its (almost) sold out,so that it is available endlessly .

And yeah, some bands can afford it because they have a cheap studio or something... it's varies. Now you see...self production. yeah you can let that sell out after a while but not like 100 copies only. limited yes, so you decide when it's sold out and also can restock with no one noticing >D

Well maybe get a DVD player who can play DVD+R and DVD-R. I only had problems with DVD-R or +R if someone did burn it on high speed. to play DVD's I always use my PC or playstation....
