YUKIYA has mentioned that such collaboration is related to his friend (who is his friend for >20years), who introduced 椎名未緒(shiina mio) to YUKIYA in 2011, and 椎名未緒(shiina mio) has previously attended various JILS live as fan

 

as relationship between YUKIYA & 椎名未緒(shiina mio) has deepened, they consider to try to do something together, especially 2016 is important anniversary for YUKIYA, as well as 5th anniversary for ユナイト(UNiTE.), and such collaboration is decided

Shiina has a lot of respect for his elders. When xTRiPx disbanded, he went to their last live and made a huge post about how he was a huge fan, how they inspired and encouraged him when he was starting, how was sad to see them going.

 

Which is quite nice and humble for him to say, since UNiTE. is probably way more sucessful than xTRiPx ever was. Shiina seems to be a really nice guy, all props to him.

Absolutely. I remember that post w/ the picture of the lyrics and was surprised.

The only instance i'd seen them interacting prior to that was w/ one picture with him and Yo-shit backstage.
