Velovelo 18 Posted February 11, 2013 I liked Aicle for what it was (mainly the instrumentals), but I gotta say, I kind of dig this one, too. Especially because Emiru/Satoshi finally starts dropping his awkward vibrato antics and sounds a bit less nasal than usual. I think he's on the right path. The chorus really reminds me of Aikuru and the whole song is even better than what I was expecting. I can't wait to hear more from these guys. I just wish they were more VKish. They look to me as the kind of band that will quit making cool music and start doing mainstream shit as soon as they get a decent fanbase. I hope that it's not the case. Velovelo 18 Posted February 11, 2013 If their current looks are any indication (and I am reminded of Radwimps and Plastic Tree there), I'm pretty sure they will stay on that casual J-Rock line. They kind of do sound mainstream already (the other samples moreso than "ie"), so the "worst" thing that could probably happen is a J-Pop ballad single. TheBistroButcher666 228 Posted February 12, 2013 I am so butt mad that Emiru is not dressing up like a half naked clown and is making music that he enjoys. The song is alright, not my thing but I was curious. I didn't think Emiru or Satoshi or whatever it is, could do any sort of normalish band and have to rely on his squeaky vocals in gimmicky cray cray bands to get away with anyone tolerating him. Yet he seems to manage to do alright for himself here. If they can actually manage to gain a fanbase in Japan, I can see them doing well. At least well enough to do an anime theme song. BUT, addicting. as. hell. and I think is nice to see them getting on this casual look vibe, at least It gives them a chance, a chance that aicle never had (their songs had too much awesomeness for mainstream, i'm afraid), let's face it... Like how they were going with Koutei penguin, Starmine, etc. Those later songs before they disbanded...it's very catchy and I enjoy it a lot. It's just a different style for Emiru/Satoshi but its still solid to me. I think I'll enjoy this. They should definitely be given a chance.
