New The GazettE album?:

Recommended Posts

RUKI SAID THIS IN Ongaku to Hito nov'11:

"...... I: And an evidence is your new album, right?

R: Exactly. We want to break all the rules that existed until now.

For example, after this album we want to produce not a single, but another album.

I:- Now you have a one-year tour and in front of 150 concerts. It will be really hard to do it!

R: Don't rub salt in the wound! (laughter)

I:- But it will be an album of the group which can fly.

R: Yeah, but 150 concerts so haaaaaard! (laughter)...."

so they are going to release another album after TOXIC? epic news!! frankly, its not official so all it is right now is a rumor....spread by Ruki

While this is cool news for the fans and all I don't think the album is coming anytime within the next year. It's cool that they're trying something different this time around. God knows they've released enough singles with TOXIC.

This MIGHT actually be a good idea. If they shift their focus from creating "single-worthy" material to creating one cohesive, quality album, the results could be interesting.

so from this point on we can hope whatever they come up with next, will be better than toxic.

Fully agreed with this.

Besides, getting a new album with nothing but new tracks would be better than having a shitload of crappy singles nobody cares about like the last time. They might find a way to put REMEMBER THE URGE on it anyway

I'm not sure this idea will be green lit by their management

but it also may be indicative of his plans to compose a "seamless" sounding album with no tracks, tailored for singles.

TOXIC was that overflowing vomit-bag, I could never imagine them doing such a pitiful album.

I hope this time they would be given a year with no in-between releases at all, so they could concentrate on good stuff.

(they still can release photobooks, live DVDs and amateur porn in the meanwhile, to keep media presence, hype and shit.)

I also have a strong feeling this is going to be a very MOOsical album of theirs. If it happens at all, and they don't disband after cashing on 150 concerts and getting all burnt out.

Gazette has been such a gag and bore for me lately (I only wish that Japanese fangirls would stop calling them as "THE NEXT LUNA SEA OMG" despite the fact that they actually do have same-ish fame status)

I highly doubt that this is true - Ruki's probably still keeping his trollface on (how come I should really believe him if TOXIC was his own solo-album?)

Uhm, it would be really strange, but I think it's definitely better to release an album once per year then 2984848 singles every month with worthless songs :/

I guess even PSC are realising that releasing five singles with terrible b-sides is not a good way to promote an album. Seeing how Toxic sold like 10 000 copies less than DIM during the first week. Toxic ended up quite good, but the setting for it was just sad. I really hope this happens, and I really hope they take their time.

yea, and they can do more tours.

especially abroad. and making the album on the road.

that way they can promote themselves better

and more often. and will make them known

for more globally. expand their popularity through music to more audience.

everybody else doing it, why can't they?

^Might be the label influence. PSC bands hardly ever come to Europe, even though pretty much all of them have a contract with CLJ Records, yet lately the only artist they seem to be selling from PSC is the GazettE. Bands from Starwave and (for example) Girugamesh and Versailles come over all the time, while bands from Starwave are not even that popular. Avex is starting to go overseas more as well (sign Megamasso, Gackt and ex-band D to Gan Shin, conduct Europe Tours for them, etc) but I haven't seen much from SONY nor PSC.

^I said hardly

But aside from that I heard as well it wasn't a big success. Their management got into fights with the staff of different venues and that the GazettE itself didn't like playing in Europe at all.

I don't know about other countries, but when Gazette came to Finland, their gig sold out literally in 7 minutes. Maybe they weren't so lucky in other places? But I've heard too that they don't really like to come overseas. I think Ruki said that the reason they won't come to play in America, is because they simply don't want to.

^ It also doesn't help that America itself is a huge place. I've heard American bands talk about how hard it is to tour here because of the sheer size of the country. I couldn't even imagine how the average Japanee band would handle it without losing a ton of money in the process. I wouldn't doubt if that also factors into the GazettE's decision to not tour here.
