Oshare kei is a mistake by whoever tried to write it at first. It's osare kei. 
 
Secondly, the global community is the only community who still has a deathgrip on the "~~~kei" description. In +4 years and ~200 vk concerts I've almost never heard anyone use these classifications. which is why you cant really put the label on most of the bands these days. Not to mention the terms the global community itself came up with.
 
also as an ensoku fan I've gotta point out--you used the band name for everything else but when it came to ensoku you wrote the song name this is a pen.

@anakurois right all around: it should be "osare" and "kote-osa" and the majority of these terms are out of use. it's fine and interesting to discuss the genres created and upheld in foreign fandom but it has very little to do with the current actual scene in Japan; if you want to write a paper you may want to point this fact out.

to further echo her the only ones i see getting regular-ish use in japanese fan spaces are kirakira and abare (which isn't a music genre but just bands with lots of hardcore hairwhipping over cute furi as the audience participation style),  and sometimes kote, tanbi and shironuri (again, not a musical genre or specific to vk but just whiteface bands).  no -kei required usually.
 
sofubi is 90's as shit (Waive/Sophia/Janne), misshitsu-kei/chikashitsu-kei was pronounced a dead meme even in this common bangya vocab list everyone cites that was last edited in 2009 and probably originally written long before that. what qualifies as "nagoya kei" is contentious as shit and almost means a whole separate set of bands to foreigners/Japanese gya as you can see from @Takadanobabaalien's translation of the Japanese wiki vs. thoughts here.
 
if you just want to compile anything that was ever called a genre or a "-kei" there is also pikopiko-kei (not limited to vk though, just beep boop video game-esque electronic music) and apparently according to some random old bangya blogs iryou-kei (medical themed bands ala LuLu).

繋がりたい 悪いのはバンドマン 仕切りが嫌い オキニ ZigZag just kind of (mostly) killed it this year for me. I really enjoyed most of their releases. While their songs are enjoyable without any Japanese, I think they're better enjoyed with knowledge of bangya culture & knowing the terms etc. I worry that they're going to run out of jokes soon though lol

It's hard to say an entire release for them was great, and I still haven't gotten their newest mini (oops) but they had a lot of songs this year that are my jams. So here's my fav songs of theirs from this year
平成メンヘラセオリー 放課後の凶室 絶交 and that one song where they throw candy live I forgot what it's called because in my head it's just 飴玉を頂戴 ザアザア
雨に殺される No doubt about it, I enjoyed XAA-XAA's releases way more last year than this year. However, 雨に殺される is probably my favorite release of this year. 
 
ZETSURIN HAGUKI
若者離れが止まらない! It was interesting seeing the transition from their substage acoustic act into a real band. I'm glad they put both versions of the songs on the CD, too. I've always enjoyed 絶リン☆ハグキ so it's not that surprising I enjoyed them as ZETSURIN HAGUKI. It's a shame they haven't done more as a full band but I'm not that surprised they went back to just doing stuff as the acoustic act.
 
ReVision of Sence
八面楚歌 It just has a lot of my ReVision jams on it like Yeah! めっちゃナンマイダ,  ヨノナカカオ & 幸せの殺し方 and I mean there's a love song to broccoli so what more do you need

▲:再生 My fav of the bleep bloops rock tbh. 続・ルル, キラキラ,  and あいのうた are some of my fav songs on the album. It's not my fav release of theirs but it's really solid and I love them
 
Last Day Dream
Another Dimension VoDvsLDD I just love LDD so much you guys :') Another Dimension is such a great song though. I love Saimotic's screams and like wowee three guitars and some of the best crabcore Osaka has to offer 
 
HONE YOUR SENSE
PHONOMENA I love Broken Toys in Attic so much. I love HYS so much. what a great band.

シンデレラ・シンドローム I want to say Big Issue too but I can't remember what songs are even on the CD. Cinderella Syndrome has a great DVD attached too.
 
 
 
I think my list of CDs I bought and then forgot about is as long as the list of CDs I enjoyed this year so as a bonus here's that list too
 
 
Some of my favorite purchases this year were older CDs from bands that were new to me--Proxyon and Cosmo-Shiki for example--or that I finally bothered to really check out--HONE YOUR SENSE and Las Day Dream for example. 
 
By the end of this year, I was going to non-VK lives just as much (or more?) than visual kei lives and it's reflected in my CD list too. Next year I'll pretty much be done with VK, tbh.

hmm i mean less that they're crazy and more that they need parental supervision.
They've made some really catchy songs that I love but.... very often they remind me of a high school garage band that you wanna support but at the same time cringe a little while watching...

I'll probably always have a soft spot for hyo. he's a big goofball. A lot of times we run into each other we just noises at each other lol..

I also like that one song where they throw candy into the crowd (half because of the candy, half because i like the song itself) but if you ever see them do that one be careful... hyo is merciless when he chucks the candy into the crowd LOL (on the other hand yuga daintily throws it lmao)

i've come to appreciate yukidoke a lot more than i used to. the song is great...i just like never listen to ballads 
 
 
if you're looking for recommendations from this year's releases i'd say 雨に殺される
but it seems that the overseas fans didn't like it as much as the foreign fans that go to see them in Japan did
out of the three singles they released recently i'd say どす黒い is my fav then カミソリ

they were just doing OK tbh
they've plateaued and interest has been waning for a while imo. I've never seen them get more than a few rows getting into it at event lives. Most of their songs people just don't even bother with--they just wait for them to play kangoku rockmen.
They really have never been able to get past being the The Kangoku Rockmen Band.
 
The recording quality has really suffered since they left badegg box and the newest single was forgettable.
 
they were pretty fun live (well, for the most part). I enjoyed seeing them whenever I did and hope I make it in time on Friday. live was way better than CDs imo. but I'm also in the camp that I just kind of accepted shiki's vocals. I hope they get a new vocalist but remember N@H is technically on hiatus too. So, I wonder if GIGAMOUS will come back at all.

@platanityand @cvlticexplained perfectly well why they can't play without Akinori.  Understandably, it seems as if many forget that Lynch. is NO LONGER an indies band and Akinori is an OFFICIAL member, NOT a support bassist like before in their earlier years.  Akinori is visible in a lot of their recent PV's, is in promo pics with the band, and ON top of that during the MC's on their last two major lives, he's actually talked to the crowd alongside Hazuki and co. In the public eye, both fans in Japan and overseas see him in the same light as the other members. These are solid reasons alongside the others (that we do and don't know of) behind the band going on hiatus. Its not an issue of "hey they can just do XYZ" in the meantime.

i think they would have to do it just because a member got arrested, and is presumably still detained, regardless of whether he actually goes to trial or not or is found guilty or not

the thing about getting arrested in Japan is they can and will detain you for 23+ days if they want to, and there's almost no bail (even if AK was granted bail it's on average about 1.5 million yen and there's no way they can afford that). they can't very well get a bassist last minute even if they wanted to play without him. and if they did get a bassist, people would judge the shit out of them for showing up in public like it was no big deal -- when they come back it needs to be with a lot of grovelling because Japan. basically they have to wait for him to go to court or be released before they can do anything anyway.

i don't think you understand how pissed their fans would be for just ignoring it. especially since the canceled shows were mostly their fanclub only shows. i would find it very inappropriate and fucking depressing to run the anniversary show without everyone there....
it was way too short notice to get anyone for COMMUNE, CDJ is a huge mainstream event that wants nothing to do with a band who's been on every dumb 2ch tabloid site in the last 24h under headlines like "tattooed bandman gets arrested! drugs? yakuza? sexual assault? hazuki's ex. gf is [prolific gravure model turned prostitute]!" with a bunch of people posting over and over about how he should have been arrested just for being tattooed in the first place.
also i know this hard to believe but they may actually like Akinori and be more concerned about trying to help him with his problems. weird but true

They are pausing activities to appear apologetic and to take responsibility? It would be in bad taste to continue as if nothing happened,  or something. It's a cultural thing, not first band nor last done that.
