New album already? That's the Tetsu I know and love. Couldn't believe he hadn't announced a release for this band yet when I first saw this thread. Not crazy about the song, but I'm cautiously optimistic as well since it seems like the album is going to be more upbeat than THE JUNEJULYAUGUST's releases. I hope this band leans more towards nil, tbh. The only JJA song that left any sort of lasting impression in my mind was 少年兵 - I can't remember a thing about any other song I've heard from them.

I do both, but I usually prefer manga because I feel like the story moves a lot faster and the art has more personality. Plus manga is easier to take along on a commute and I love all the little bonus pages with notes from the author or extra info on the characters.

Yay, Takeshi Hosomi is fun again <3

Haven't heard any of the others on this list except Talkie Dance, so I didn't vote, but Strike a Bell is a lovely song.

GLAY. GLAY songs always just make me so happy. Plus they basically have a track for every season and stage of life at this point. (Childhood, graduation, marriage, becoming a parent, watching over your family from the afterlife...)

God, the new RIZE song is atrocious.

Is this supposed to be DuelJewel, or is there actually another band in the world that chose to combine those two words for some odd reason?

Apparently he had to have some of his large intestine removed, and he lost a ton of muscle and weight while he was in the hospital since he wasn't allowed to eat (he blogged about going from 55kg to 46kg http://simplog.jp/pub/22296647/32), so it seems like the recovery time will be pretty long...

The new MO'SOME song is gloriously weird and happy. Wasn't too crazy about the first mini-album, but I have really high hopes for the second one right now.

I do pretty much the same thing as ender-ender, except that I group projects involving my favourite artists together sometimes, so I can just drag and drop the main folder into Winamp and listen to all of the projects featuring a certain member together if I want to. Or I can just type the folder name into Winamp and everything will come up. Ex. TMGE AND RELATED folder: -Thee Michelle Gun Elephant - ___ -Thee Michelle Gun Elephant - ___ -The Birthday folder ->The Birthday - ___ ->The Birthday - ___ -Chiba Yusuke folder ->SNAKE ON THE BEACH folder->SNAKE ON THE BEACH - ___ ->Midnight Bankrobbers folder ->Midnight Bankrobbers - ___ ->misc featuring tracks -Radio Caroline folder ->Radio Caroline - __ -ROSSO folder ->ROSSO - ___ ...etc.

Glad I'm not the only indecisive one. I did the same thing, just starting with the 60s instead.

Someone actually posted live footage of Missile Girl Scoot, and they opened with "411". Awesome. "Hey gaiz, do you wanna know 'bout my 411?!"

I know he has heart problems, just seemed like unfortunate timing for another issue since he had a herniated disk not too long ago.

He's really having terrible luck recently when it comes to his health.

Germany has a lot because of Gan-Shin. Whenever they release something digitally it goes onto German iTunes, and I think some other European countries too. That's why UNiTE are there, plus I think Matenrou Opera, MUCC, and maybe Girugamesh? They just released UNiTE's new album digitally: https://www.facebook.com/GanShinRecords/photos/a.345581279488.150732.213118129488/10153498007864489/?type=1&theater

I've heard of Cool Japan, but only from articles about how it's supposedly not as effective as what Korea is doing, so...

The new 04 Limited Sazabys album is great. I'm sad that they changed the lyrics to "Any", though. It's not quite the same without Gen butchering the line "hoping I won't lose my future leaving me". It's cool to see that he actually tried to make the English more natural on the re-recordings, though. I can really hear him trying to enunciate.

I don't think it's that they're worried about losing sales from overseas, it's because Japanese fans apparently don't upload releases as much. I think the logic is that when that gaijin fan uploads a live-limited release to somewhere obvious like Youtube where all their Japanese fans are sure to see it, there's less incentive for Japanese fans to come to any other lives it's being promoted at to buy it.
