Still haven't seen Joker and not sure if I ever will. The movie looks like it's fucking amazing, and Joaquin Phoenix seems to be beyond brilliant in it (like he always is!). But I still have no desire to watch. No interest whatsoever, despite the fact that it looks amazing and I've been looking forward to it for such a long time. Weird shit.
 
San Andreas - Silly and very standard disaster movie, but it's fun for what it is. Dumb, mindless fun.
 
Central Intelligence - This buddy cop comedy starring  Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart really caught me off guard. It doesn't offer up anything new, but I really fucking like it. Thought it was hilarious throughout, and despite clocking in at close to two hours it never got boring. Kevin Hart is Kevin Hart, running around and yelling like hell all the time, but he's got great comedic timing and I like him a lot. However I do understand why a lot of people don't. I really unerstand why people find him annoying as hell. Dwayne Johnson however was out of this world in this, and much dof it comes down to his lack of comedic timing. It just made it hilarious. Fantastic performance. Awesome movie!
 
Ride Along - Another buddy cop comedy with Kevin Hart, and this time he's joined by Ice Cube. Most people seem to hate this, but despite its flaws I liked it. These type of buddy cop comedies just touches the right spot of my heart. Not nearly as good as Central Intelligence, but funny nonetheless. Looking forward to seeing Ride Along 2 later today.

Garth Marenghi's Darkplace - Finished this cult series today and thought it was truly excellent. This is a horror-comedy that spoofs 80's cinema in general (effects, music, sets, effects, clothing and so on) and it's just fucking brilliant throughout. Hilarious beyond words. This series is a must-see for fans of comedy, fantasy and horror-comedies. Hands down fantastic!

I don't feel like kpop fans are any worse than jpop/jrock/visual kei fans as far as this goes. They're more or less equal in my experience.

The worst type of close minded fans in my experience are the ones who only listen to music from a certain country or continent. More often than not these are people who only listens to asian music.

I am currently 7 episodes in it. And it is bloody brilliant. But then again I am one of those who consider the original movie a classic. But then again, the fact that I consider the original a classic and still feel like this is amazing is quite something isn't it? But the original is highly recommended. A really good, elegant and fantastic movie
 
Still haven't watched the Making of..., but I am looking forward to it. I know there's CGI in this series and all but it's used sparsely, and the characters are puppets and animatronics and that looks amazing. No, it doesn't always look like they speak whatever it's said. But that is not at all the importance of this type of filmmaking at all. It's all about the atmosphere, the feeling, the visuals and all that. 
 
What makes this so amazing is that it feels 80's/early 90's, even with modern techniques like CGI and so on. Hands down! This is amazing!

My woman got me to watch The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance with her. I'd never seen the original movie (tho I'd heard of it), and I wasn't really sure about the whole puppet thing, but man...I was impressed! It was a uniquely fun experience, I'd say. Despite the inherent drawbacks of the medium, it was so well-done that they actually managed to suspend my disbelief and transport me into their world. I also did not expect such a star-studded cast, so that was a treat, too! I instantly noticed recognized Lena Headey's voice when I heard it

Watched Altered Carbon  season 1 and was surprised by how much I liked it. The story isn't perfect, the characters aren't either and neither are the action scenes, especially those with hand to hand combat. But the world created was really good, especially when the characters moved around in the Blade Runner-esque city which looked really cool. Gonna watch season 2 for sure.

How anyone can find something like this boring live is beyond me. Darkside alone is reason good enough to stay for the entire gig, and as long as the drums are clear in the mix everything else can be pretty muddy without it taking away all the enjoyment of the gig. The cymbal work is just beyond everything and anything.

The Haunting of Hill House - Rich, deep and complex horror series that's as much about horror as drama, and digs deep into loads and loads of different subjects, and does it really well. The storytelling is top notch, the character development is excellent, the cinematography and overall visual style and so on. Man, beautiful! I love how it's all put together. It jumps back and forth and back and even further back and a bit forth and so on throughout and it's beautifully done. So well-crafted and awesome. Amazing series!
 
Really happy to see that there will be a season 2, albeit not a sequel. But as an anthology. Can't wait!

The Boys - This is, hands down, one of the coolest series I've ever seen, and one of the best superhero movies/series in a long, long, long time. Yes, I know it's based off a classic comic but I haven't read it yet. I own the first issue, but want more before before starting. Anyway, this was fun, violent, silly, over the top and just awesome throughout. Hell ye! Give me season 2 already!
 
 
Swamp Thing season 1 is up next. Shame about the cancellation. And I say that even before having watched it.
