Bear got a reaction from Spectralion in random thoughts thread
Today I was told by a parent that his son has his 6th birtday tomorrow, and while trying to find out who they were to invite to the birthday party, his son had asked him if it was OK for him to invite a grown up. His dad then asked him why, and his son told him he only wanted me to come.

Yeah, I sampled some of the stuff, nice consistent mood. None of the others really grabbed me tho, but maybe I'll try the Baskin OST, that seems like a nice listen.

Vercetti Technicolor is indeed awesome! Love all his stuff (that I've heard so far). Bay of Blood, Olympic Sequences, Black September - this is my order of preference I guess.

Giallo Disco is easily one of the coolest labels around in 2015. It's the label of Antoni Maiovvi and Vercetti Technicolor, both who's known to fans of this style of music, so make sure you check this out. There's plenty of fantastic releases to check out on this label.
My 5 must-haves on this label:
Garofano Rosso - Garofano Rosso
Vercetti Technicolor - Bay Of Blood
DKMD - Sacrificio
Vercetti Technicolor - Black September
Volkan Akaalp - Baskin OST
But if you're a fan of this music you should just do yourself a favour and check out everything.

Which is a shame. I wish the rest had continued under another name and continued making Kagrraesque music.

Damn, just discovered their MTV unplugged stuff on video. The concert sure needs a proper release because these versons sounds fantastic despite Freddy Lim's very limited vocals. But he sings with passion and heart and that's all that's is needed.

Bear got a reaction from Tokage in Horror Movies
Santo and the Blue Demon vs. the Monsters - Another film with both Santo and Blue Demon, and another disappointment. The film is a lot cooler than Santo vs. Blue Demon in Atlantis, with some proper horror elements and stuff, but it doesn't hold up, which is a shame because it' got all the elements to be a proper cheese-o-rama masterpiece. It starts with some amazing shots of Santo, Blue Demon and the monsters, introducing them to us views. Sure, the lightning in these shots are awful, but it's cool as fuck, and that's what counts.
But the story does't hold up. The mad, evil scientist isn't given enough meat on his body, and he's so uninteresting. Who exactly is he, and why is he doing whatever he is doing? Lots of fighting and shit, but it's baically the same fights over and over and over and over again. And Blue Demon gets the same treatment as in Santo vs. Blue Demon in Atlantis. Goes to the bad guys, gets caught and fights Santo and the goodies. Heh. I feel sorry for him.
And the lighting is really weird at times. A few scenes changes from day to night to day and to night again for no other reason than everything being really amateurish. Hilarious!
However, the monsters are cool as fuck. The make-up is shit, and they look really bad and their movements are very off and stuff, but it works because of the cheese and camp. The monsters here is Frankenstein's Monster, The Wolf-Man, The Mummy, a male and a sexy female vampire, a cyclops and some zombies. Oh, and an evil dwarf who's beyond cool. Awful make-up as said, but the monsters are cool anyway. They save the film to be honest. Campy, cheesy as fuck and entertaining. However, this could and should habe been so much better.
The Wolf-Man:
Cyclops:
The Mummy:
Frankenstein's Monster:
The Vampire:

Not familiar with Alessandro Paris as far as i know, but Umberto is great, Vercetti Technicolor better and Antoni Maiovvi is nothing short of a genius. His soundtrack for the amazing neo-giallo short Yellow is breathtaking.
That's five out of the seven tracks on the EP. It's stunning. A real masterpiece!

I ended up watching Pulse/Kairo, nice film. The way the last quarter of the movie suddenly transitions to full-blown worldwide apocalypse scenario is a bit jarring and unexpected, though.

It's surprising they didn't try to team up Perturbator, Carpenter Brut and Gost. They'd fit very well together. Anyway, I am jelly as fuck! On you seeing both bands. Fuck you! Interesting how one of Perturbator's first concerts were at a black metal festival. Evil synth music for the win!
Fuck you for getting Carpenter Brut as well.

The artwork by Costin Chioreanu exactly depicts the world of Graveward.
That's cool artwork. I wonder if it's for the vinyl release or something. I hope so.
Here's also a Sigh AMA where Mirai answers questions: http://www.reddit.com/r/progmetal/comments/3647p2/mirai_from_sigh/
There's some interesting parts there.
And my personal favourite:
Been wanting to hear that Mirai-tape for years, but it's been impossible to find both on MP3 and as a physical release. Hope he gets it out there. Would kill to hear this!

That unreleased film from 1994 is great. It's highly recommended by Roger Corman-fanboy Bear. So buy yourself a six-pack of beer, invite some good friends over, make some spicy food and watch the god damn film, boys and girls. It's totally worth it, at least if you're a fan of trash cinema.
I recently found out about two Batman flicks which looks amazing. Unofficial of course, but Alyas Batman at Robin (1965) and Alyas Batman en Robin (1991) looks so good. My kind of trash!
Damn, that looks good!

Bear got a reaction from LIDL in THE J-POP THREAD a.k.a JAYYYYPAAAWP
Can we talk bout this album:
More or less the perfect pop album, with one of the very best productions ever no matter what genre we're talking about. Hikaru Utada is amazing and the songs are amazing, but the production and how the album sounds is by far the highlight here. It's a pleasure to the ear to listen to the album. Ear massage from begining to end. 10/10 and so on.
