  1. Lychgate seem to be quite populare. Blood Music released some Lychgate LPs and they sold out quite fast. So I should check em out?
  2. This one too is amazing, abeit a bit different: Great stuff. These soundtraks are so good you don't even ahve to watch the films to understand what kind of films they are.
  3. This compilation by Giallo Disco is great by the way. Worth checking out: Top, top compilation!
  4. Not sure how familiar you are with the rest of their catalogue, but if you like one of the releases on this label you should check out everything because the label specialize on a special kind of sound - dark, pulsating, horror disco. Imaginary horror film soundtracks. And all the artists have that kind of sound. Everything fits their vision. They don't jump on trends or sign promising artists just to get someone possibly big on their label, they just sign bands that fit in with their vision. So far at least. Gotta love that.
  5. https://giallodiscorecords.bandcamp.com/music Giallo Disco is easily one of the coolest labels around in 2015. It's the label of Antoni Maiovvi and Vercetti Technicolor, both who's known to fans of this style of music, so make sure you check this out. There's plenty of fantastic releases to check out on this label. My 5 must-haves on this label: Garofano Rosso - Garofano Rosso Vercetti Technicolor - Bay Of Blood DKMD - Sacrificio Vercetti Technicolor - Black September Volkan Akaalp - Baskin OST But if you're a fan of this music you should just do yourself a favour and check out everything.

The Magnificent Trio - A very early Chang Cheh flick with the likes of Yu Wang, Lo Lieh and Cheng Lei. The film is a remake of the classic Japanese chambara film Three Outlaw Samurai by Hideo Gosha, and it's a well-done one. But Chanh Cheh has made the film into a proper Hong Kong wuxia-film, and done enough changes that it feels like something else, but not changed so much that you can't get a grasp of which film it remakes. In other words, he's done exactly what one should do when remaking something. Ad the females are really the stars of this film, not Yu Wang, Lo Lieh or Cheng Lei. Which is something cool and different to other wuxias at the time. The tory is great with lots of twist and turns along the way, the fights are fantastic, the characters are good and the sets are amazing. They're studio sets and you can see that it's fake, but it still looks gorgeous to my eyes and I've always loved that with Shaw Brothers films. The sets, even when obviously fake, tend to look amazing. All in all a great film, even though both director and several of the actors have plenty of better films in their filmography. And does it touch the original? Yeah, I think so, even though the original is a slightly better film in many ways.

Episode 11, Split Personality - A nice little gem by film producer Joel Silver in his only directorial atempt. His first and last film in the directors chair, and it's a shame he only tried to direct once because this is a great piece. The episode stars Joe Pesci who is as annoying and good as ever, and the overall feeling of the episode is great. It's black, it's fun and it's charming. I really liked this one! 8/10

Started demoing the new song. Yes! Do not stop! And I got this mail today: Bam! Finally.

Episode 9, Maniac at Large - A nice, original and creepy tale by John Frankenheimer (The Manchurian Candidate, Ronin) with with an amazing performance by Blythe Danner. The overall feeling of the episode is a bit different than most others because there's no gore, no black, morbid humour or anything like this. It's more of a suspense tale, but it's well-made and works really well. Top, top episode! 9/10 A great little cameo by Irwin Keyes as well!

More Tales From the Crypt, season 4: Episode 5, Beauty Rest - Another episode directed by Stephen Hopkins who directed an earlier episode called Abra Cadaver, which was fantastic, and while this is far from as good as that one this is till a good one. Dark and funny, though a bit predictable, episode that'll entertain you if you like your humour black. Some great special effects towards the end as well. Looked fantastic! Solid! 8/10 Episode 6, What's Cookin' - Brilliant episode starring Christopher Reeve and Bess Armstrong, with guys like Meat Loaf and Art LaFleur in smaller roles. This episode was fantastic! Probably among the best episodes till now. Really dark and morbid stuff. It's not really anything new, but they still manage to shock somehow. Brilliant special effects too. 10/10 Episode 7, The New Arrival - Great episode by Peter Medak (The Changeling), and probably the creepiest episode till now. This one was actually really fucking creepy. David Warner and Zelda Rubinstein were almost too good in this episode. Brilliant performance by both. 9/10 Episode 8, Showdown - A cool but very disappointing episode by Richard Donner (The Omen, Lethal Weapon, Superman, The Goonies). I expect a lot more by someone like him, and this didn't hold up all that well. It's alright and David Morse is cool as fuck, but it's not more than that. 6/10 Episode 9, King of the Road - A cool one by Tom Holland (Fright Night, Child's Play) with a fantastic Raymond J. Barry and a young and good Brad Pitt in the leading roles. Both does great and the episode is really cool. Lots of badass attitude! 8/10

Santo vs. Frankenstein's Daughter - More Santo silly-cheese! While not as campy as some of the other Santo films I've seen, this is still more than campy enough and very silly in a good way. As with a couple of the other films, this isn't exactly horror, despite some of its elements sure as hell is horror. But it felt darker than most of the other that I've seen, and bloodier as well. That impaling of the Monster looked excellent. Magnificent scene! Some really funny scenes as well. The way he talks to the Monster after its impaling is hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing. Great stuff!
  12. But no one is judging a book by its cover, we're all just laughing at his awful comparison as no one else is getting a Katatonia-vibe from the song. It's as simple as that really.
  13. I adore both Denner and Sherman, but that didn't sound very good. Generic, mediocre and awfully modern.

That doesn't help me, though. I need a tutorial. Had to get my girlfriend to fix mine for me earlier today because whenever I do it myself, I end up looking silly instead of sexy.

How the fuck do you put your long hair up in a bun on the "top back" of your head that doesn't look god damn ridiculous?

David Hasselhoff ‎– True Survivor 7" Kung Fury (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) 12" I was starting to think these two beauties would not show but, but they came today and I am happy as fuck. Sweet as fuck!
  17. What? Is Gazette's fanbase annoying because of the quality of the music? Nah, that's not the reason. My reaction was more to the general comparisson of Gazette and Katatonia, wich for me personally, is beyond dumb. Quality-wise I think Katatonia have been just as bad as Gazette for the last 10 years. Katatonia post-Viva Emptiness sucks.

I can't understand why Czarface isn't getting more attention by people. Both albums are top notch!

After a handful of plays I'm sure Timeless Sentence is the best thing Chthonic have done so far. Fantastic album, especially on the softer and more folky tracks/parts of the album. It's incredible. I do think the live-versions sound a bit better though, mainly due to Freddy Lim's even more emotional and soaring vocals. But the album itself sounds amazing!
  21. Oh dear, that was dreadful and Bruce sounds totally out of it. He sounds awful. He sounds very tired, as if he suddenly turned 75. Also, the track sounds awfully modern rock-esque in a disgusting way. The video is okay, though. I'm digging the concept. But it looks a bit half-assed and unfinished. Like they were given a budget of 5k, but decided to only use 1k and spend the rest on beer and booze and hoes or something. A real shame that. But it's a single, so this is expected. It's not the first time they've gone for a simple rocker as a single-song. So I'll still give the album a fair chance.

Jesus, they've even made music videos and shit for this release. How the fuck have I not known this? Shocking. Sounds great. This album will get way too much playtime in the comming months... or year.
  23. Bear

Nice! I just realised they've released an acoustic album as well with the same track list as this. Hopefully it's the exact same versions with the exact same guests and stuff. Looking forward to checking it out.

    Oh dear, that looks stunning.
