Crube reacted to Bear in The general Metal discussion thread
A couple of songs can be heard here: http://gruesomedeathmetal.bandcamp.com/releases
Basically an old school Death tribute band with Matt Harvey (Exhumed, Dekapitator) among others. Really loooking forward to this album. Just pure Scream Bloody Gore and Leprosy worship - nothing more, nothing less. Awesome!

I spent my near years eve going to the cinema with my girl watching The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies, then went home for some beers before we left to the stable to take care of the animals there. Well, my girlfiend did most of the work while I spent my time there cuddling with the three ponies and the cat. Those ponies are the cutest animals ever.

Crube reacted to Zeus in Zess' Best of 2014
Best of 2014
I tried to create a short, cohesive "best of" list this year. I failed.
Welcome once again to my fourth year-end list, where I talk way too much about a bunch of releases I've never mentioned before. I had the intention of keeping this list short and sweet this year, but 2014 was a great year for music. Every time I completed the list, I remembered two or three more albums that just had to be on here, and before I knew it I ended up wanting to share a lot more artists than I intended. I had to draw the line somewhere. Then, I had to find a way to keep your attention long enough for everything on this page to load. While this isn't the most exhaustive of lists, I tried to pick artists I thought people may be interested in alongside some more unusual things I liked. So now that we've reached the end of my not so subtle introduction, I think by now everything should have loaded. Read, enjoy, and leave me comments!

Crube reacted to PsychoΔelica in Post your "UNPOPULAR" music opinions!
Call me odd but for me nitpicking my favorite bands' music takes out all the fun from listening to them. This is why I try to ignore any discussions about whether this or that band got better and tried something new or keeps stalling and producing generic and uninspired albums with bad vocals. This is how I stopped listening to MUCC. And maybe I shouldn't have. I feel like people are taking this whole thing way too seriously. But then maybe I don't because I don't buy every other cd that those bands produce I feel like people are getting way too analytical. It's your choice though if you want to write a double spread review on such and such album. But recently I find myself more often than not enjoying a selection of songs from different bands according to what I can relate to at the moment. To me this makes music a lot more enjoyable than turning it into your doctoral thesis. Ok you can throw tomatoes now

Aura Noir was great, but lacked a bit punch. I thought the setlist was a bit disappointing. Too many songs off Hades Rise, which I consider their weakest album. But I had fun.
Morbid Angel was CRUSHING! Oh my god, what a gig. Tim Yeung is a machine, thought a bit too perfect for my taste. But he knows how to drum. Thor Anders Myhren is a fantastic guitarist and riffer, but he looked wy out of place and didn't really look like he had too much fun.
David Vincent smiled, growled great and just looked like he had a great time and Trey Azagthoth is Trey Azagthoth. He's almost perfect.
The gig was fantastic, and even the abomination Existo Vulgore from the abomination that is Illud Divinum Insanus worked well. I didn't even notice that they played a single song from the new album. It was that fucking good.
