As stated above, a combination of anime and video games. BUT THEN... I saw the FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus commercial in 2006 which had Redemption by Gackt playing and I was like "wooooooooooooooooooooooooooow what is this song? why does this sound so good? omfg?" and then I used to play on a private server for this game I was obsessed with and a lot of the music in the game was replaced with jrock and I believe it was Abingdon Boy's School songs so I asked around and was given links to Youtube vids and then I just started exploring and yeah. :')

I don't know Japanese at all, but there are some words I hear often and know what they mean. (like "zutto" for example) I was actually just talking to a friend about this. If it sounds good, I'll listen to it, regardless of what the lyrics are. Part of me never wants to understand what they're saying because I feel as if I wouldn't like it anymore. This is the main reason I can't listen to music in English. Like i honestly can't even do it. It baffles me greatly that people listen to music solely for the lyrics (speaking about english music) which is funny because even if I'm listening to a song in my own language, I'm not paying attention to what they're saying. It's just words to me, if that makes any sense. I think I like Japanese music so much because the language is just really flowery and beautiful and idk I'm fucking weird. With Japanese music, I really feel/connect with the music without knowing what they're saying based on the emphasis on words and the tone of the song and you can just sorta tell what the overall meaning of the song is. Ew, I remember when vistlip released Order Made and I was getting emotional watching the PV without knowing what the lyrics were. I was like "wow im fucking gross but ugh its so beautiful". The JRock/Visual Kei scene is perfect to me. I can't picture my life without it LOL.

Your voice is so kawaii! Really liked the chorus parts I'm curious now and kinda want to try a vocal cover myself. The only problem is my voice is deeper than the deepest depths of the ocean...

SAME. When I first saw the tracklist I was like "wow, I hope 33-XVI is somewhat similar to/or a continuation of 69-II since that song is fucking awesome!"

I love/hate this band. I wish they were still "visual" but everything changes at some point. Low key, I like the reg edition artwork because it's a pendulum...and that's the album name.... Winding Road has been on repeat for about an hour now and I'm really digging it. I have a good feeling that this is obviously going to shit on their first album. I kinda think this is what I've been waiting for from them. Either way, I'm really excited for them to release something that's not jam packed with previously released singles...
  10. Just listened to "Winding Road" from ViViD's 2nd album and my face is melting off.

Royz is one of my favorite bands. (It switches off between Royz and vistlip because I can't make up my mind!) I've seen people bring up those rumors before. Either way, it doesn't really matter to me. If it doesn't affect the music they produce, I don't care. My first Royz song was AREA and I felt "odd" for listening to it on repeat for so long. Then eve:r and α came out and that was when I really got into them. After a couple years, JOKER is still a good song and one of my favorites. I don't think I'll ever get tired of it. I've used witch in the HELL as a means to get 2 people into Jrock and it worked. I also agree with you about RISK_144000 being the best song off of LILIA. I don't know Japanese, but I read that the song has a lot of biblical references which makes it that much hotter to me. (assuming what I read was accurate)
  12. Went as far as to rip the preview of Butterfly Dreamer from YouTube so that I could listen to it on repeat 400+ times. #noshame

First DIMENSION TELESCOPE CYLINDER WEB Recipe Dr. Teddy Prey Shadow Second DIMENSION Shinkaigyo no Yume wa Shosen aquamarine Nearly equal RESET CIRCLE B Making of day1. CHIMERA Arrythmia Third DIMENSION First DIMENSION - Despite being an instrumental, this made me really emotional (LOL) and set up the whole feel for the album. TELESCOPE CYLINDER - Simply beautiful. It keeps the same vibes from First DIMENSION so the transition is excellent. Tomo's voice is amazing as well. WEB - I wasn't really enthralled by the preview, but after hearing the whole song, it's not that bad. I really don't know what to say about it other than that it's decent. Recipe - Such an uplifting song and one of my favorite singles. I love the chorus and the solo. Dr. Teddy - WOW. LIKE WOOOOOOOOOOOOW. Marvelous. I can't stop replaying it, it just blows my mind. I don't know how to word this, but I really love how you can hear Umi's voice in the background underneath Tomo's vocals around the 3:27 mark. Everything overlays perfectly and it's just excellent. Prey Shadow - This is my favorite song off the album. The intro is amazing and the chorus is beautiful. Can't listen to this without blasting it. Second DIMENSION - Literally have nothing to say. Shinkaigyo no Yume wa Shosen - Mmmmmmmm <3 I love when vistlip goes in a heavier direction with their songs. Everything about this song is phenomenal. aquamarine - The intro is so sad and touching. I really enjoy the buildup to the chorus in this song. Nearly equal - This was previously released as Artist, but I believe they changed the lyrics a bit so... different lyrics, different song name? Either way, I'm not really a fan of this song. RESET CIRCLE - Another song I like with a catchy chorus. The song's style makes me think of System down. B - I want to like this song, but I just can't and I don't know why. I really dislike Tomo's singing in the intro. Making of day1 - Another great song off the album with a good beat and a catchy chorus. This song was stuck in my head for days. CHIMERA - Beautiful in every aspect. I'm in love with Umi's singing/chanting/rapping(?) underneath Tomo's vocals. Arrythmia - Ehhh... I found it to be alright, especially once it picked up after the first 20 seconds. Third DIMENSION - I can't handle the ticking of the clocks. Just like First DIMENSION, this one made me emotional too. I think it's a great instrumental track to close out the album. I wish I was better at typing out my feels for reviews, but I guess it's just not my strong suit. Anyways, I like this album more than ORDER MADE and I really adore the whole concept of "time" they went with.

EGOIST PARADOX ~Pierce to Rouge~ Yuuzukiyo, awai yume @bnormality EGOIST - I think this is an amazing song and I'm so happy that they decided to compose something heavy after Tear drop. The intro reminds me of INNOCENCE and that's one of my favorite songs from them. Subaru's scream in the beginning is just the best thing ever. I really like how they incorporate English into their lyrics as well. The chorus, just like all songs by Royz, is catchy and just sounds awesome! PARADOX ~Pierce to Rouge~ - I like everything about this song except around the 1:17 mark. I feel like I'm spinning in a circle at a demon circus (whatever that means) and then to have the deep rapid screams. Even listening to it right now, I'm sitting here just like "Oh? Ok." I think this song would be a lot better if it left out that part... Anyways, the melody and the chorus are catchy which is what I love. The solo is great too! Yuuzukiyo, awai yume - It's a great ballad, but it's something you'd have to be in the mood for. I find myself skipping it a lot of the time and then there are times where I'm like "I need to listen to this omfg." Not horrible, but not my favorite song. @bnormality - This song might be my favorite off the single. It's so upbeat, and catchy and the chorus is just WOW. I think I've listened to this 502 times or so. My only complaint with this song is that it's just a little over 3 minutes long. I had the same problem with Alkaloid and Ms. Veronica but that's just me wishing such great songs weren't so short. Can't wait for their next single release.
