I was at home, kinda sick, so I figured this would be as good as a time as any to watch the new Orange Is the New Black season. It totally delivered, just like always. Honestly, this is one show that I just cannot get enough of (once I start watching an ep). Great stuff. Shoutout to the 'slasher horror homage' ep!  Can't wait for the future seasons, tho obviously it's a bummer that now I'll have to wait one year prolly, cuz my addicted ass watched the whole thing in less than two days, haha.

even though FOXPILL album should've been cheap-arse used copy it turned out to be brand new and sealed D; now i don't wanna open it. and don't wanna open meruhen's album either >:[ damn, it's been a while since i bought sealed copies and i already forgot that feeling of despair when i have to open them up. but otherwise i won't be able to listen to it. ugh :/

watched Koe no Katachi and it was fucking awesome. really really liked this movie. maybe it would've been better as a 12 episodes anime series, but nonetheless it's still great. for now it's movie of the year(2016) for me, but I have yet to watch Kimi no Na Wa and it might be even better, judging by all reviews so far. 

It was a pretty straightforward set of mostly new stuff, but in the middle Sharaku did try and talk to the crowd in english, which was really cute.  He told us his name was Naruto and he had hair like Dragonball.  The next day at the q&a panel someone got him to sing acapella for us, which was really cool too!

I finally finished Black Sails. It's impressive how it went from being a bland adventure series with uninteresting, and mostly annoying characters and dull dialogue in season 1 to become one of the best series around in season 2, with an amazing character gallery, fantastic dialogue and more a character driven drama than anything else. That being said, season 1 is far from the worst thing I've seen. It's decent entertainment, but if it wasn't for the fact that I love pirates I would not have given season 2 a chance at all. Had it been about vikings I would not have seen season 2. And it's really refreshing with a series that knows when to call its quit, rather than to go on and on because they can. Because they could've made 4 more seasons of this series, but ending with season 4 is simply genius. At its best, this series is just up there with the best seasons of Game of Thrones, if not better.

And I also started on Fargo season 3 today. I'm only one episode in, but so far this feels like Fargo all the way, just like season 1 and 2 did. This series, man. So god damned good!

Giving thought to why you like or don't like certain bands or music and then putting that opinion on the table--that's all well and good, and an essential part of any healthy music community. Most of the time though, I feel it's not so much the fact that there is someone out there who dislikes music that you love (these people exist no matter how popular/well-regarded a band is - and I think that's something everyone will have to accept); but rather, it's the way in which their opinions are expressed.
 
Anyone who has been on MH longer than 3 days would have realized that '"criticizing" a band here (for some people at least) means articulating your opinion in a way that's as offensive/tactless as the rules possibly allow for, even if the same point can be made as effectively without insulting anyone. And that's not counting posts that aren't even proper opinions (e.g. going into a thread of a band you simply don't care for and saying 'just disband now', or going into a disbandment thread and gloating over it). 
 
So I kinda understand where OP is coming from. For the most part MH has been a valuable resource and a great community, although at times I wish people would actually spend more time on the bands they enjoy and leave the others alone if they have nothing valuable to say rather than  just looking to provoke.
 
There's always the "let's just turn the other cheek" attitude, but while that's always appreciated (and necessary for staying sane on the internet), surely the responsibility for a mature/critical community doesn't lie squarely with these people if there are others bent on being intentionally inflammatory all the time.
