Etymotic has some of the best IEMs in terms of neutral sound, their only downside is the fit as they need to be inserted quite deep to properly give their intended sound. The most comfortable has been the Westones IME, I use the UM PRO 30. Their tips are amazingly comfortable and provide a great seal at the same time. If you can try these out in your area, do so, I highly recommend them.

I have nothing bad to say about the instrumentals. If the vocals doesn't click with my taste, I tend to give up the band no matter how good the instrumentals are. The strong rhythm and intricate guitar play is what got me hooked in the first place, now I just need good vocals at the same time. Rap and beats are the only essential parts of rap music, that was a terrible analogy IMO as I can't say the same for metal which have varying vocals techniques/styles. And no, RnB or other forms of singing is not rap, it's only there to make a smoother sounding song or for a sing-along sake. Hell, an MC rapping acapella for the whole album would still be rap music. I am not sure if metal is still the same without instrumentals.... To be clear, I didn't look into those genres to look for dynamic vocals, instead I grew out of them and now search for more interesting bands that suits my taste. IDK what a generic band is? Is that another genre?

I listened to my friend's collection (about 7 years ago as my last memory, I was curious about his music) so I don't have all the bands in my memory but I definitely remember Atreyu and Avenged Sevenfold only because they both have their band name start with the letter A and A7X is a slick abbreviation. They are listed as metalcore according to wiki so I guess that is what they and the other bands are...I guess....I am terrible with genres especially in rock so I cannot tell what is post-hardcore to hardcore. I only listened when he is around with his massive collection and we had Chemistry homework to do lol. Yes, the bolded part is what I noticed a lot which is why I say bands that rely heavily on unclean vocals are just not dynamic enough for me to keep my interest in them.

Maybe because I have dabbled in NA rock with harsh vocals already during my teens but I find them now quite boring and non-dynamic for me to keep listening to bands that rely on them a lot or strictly. It's quite the turn off when a "vocalist" can't actually sing and just do harsh vocals most of the time. I now prefer a balance of strong singing and harsh ever since I was captivated by Mejibray and Signal when I first got into them. I am in the hunt for more now but there is so much more interesting and dynamic artists out there that is hard to really justify listening to bands with only growls, screams, etc for vocals no matter the instrumentals

Just a general question: what is it limiting forums or other sites from allowing Asian characters in a user's usernames? I don't go by using characters just cause they look cool but more so because there are just some phrases that doesn't have an English equivalent and I prefer to use the real characters for their meaning not some made-up English equivalent. I always try to use Asian Characters in my username, if that fails, I use a variant of "Forever."I know it's kind of a first world problem, sorry about that.

Finally finished touching up the look of my foobar during the holiday break, too random before lol. I don't really like looking at cover art myself or still pictures for too long similarly. I keep mine more utilitarian, only thing I needed to add was a proper musical spectrum.

oh if you haven't posted I wouldn't have known there was a newer version of foobar. That makes more sense in the update, the previous one didn't have it. You can have multiple playlists, I see no reason to have all your music into just one. FYI I have heard problems where large playlist can lose info and not play a song. Where the person did what you did and put all his music into one playlist. Not sure why, my guess is cache shortages.

You should be able to see all the folders your music is in and drag your music onto a playlists whenever you want. I don't use custom skins, just the default but with an added musical spectrum. Maybe uninstall current skin and change to a default layout, then install the skin again.

Meto is the sexy one in Mejibray. Why else would Tsuzuku have him on a leash on every single release? Music always comes first to me, with the visual theme second. I actually tend not to watch a VK artist's PV and instead have the song play in the background just so the visual bias is put off. Helps in better evaluating songs IMO. Fans shouldn't influence your decision to get into a band IMO. The only thing that gets to me is the girl to guy ratio of fans. Girls like outnumber the guys 1000:1 for a typical VK band, maybe even more, judging from the lives I have seen. Although 2 of my fave bands (X and Versailles) don't seem to have that statistic in their lives. Kinda curious whether VK has always had more girl fans since the beginning. For K-pop, its more problematic for guy bands though. I grew up with boy bands playing on TV so being a fan of one now isn't too weird for me. I genuinely liked B2ST, BAP and NU'EST songs, however the shit they promote with has a lot to be desired. Fanclub names for example Beauty, Baby and LOVE repectively -.- I don't feel like associating myself with that. Most of their shoots are aimed for a girl's visual ideal, even with BAP trying to pull off a masculine look..but with make-up on.
