If you guys wanna check it out, it's already at a zillion torrent sites (I checked PirateBay). Haven't seen it yet for myself, but I think it's gonna be fun (hopefully).

I don't think Cuckoo will ever be back, to be honest. Every member is busy and content with whatever business they're doing now IMO. I'd love for them to record some more stuff too, but it's very unlikely. ...and frankly, I'm the happiest with cali≠gari rather than their side-projects. xD

^ Yeah, too bad it won't be released on 2011.11.11 (not a Wednesday). Would've been fun though.
-
cali≠gari will release their new album called 11 in November (no further info yet). edit: Looks like it's going to be a single instead, called #_2. The album will come sometime later.

White Noise Saw it for the second time. Liked it a bit better than the first viewing.

Cool, definitely looking forward!

Ooooh excited about that 11-11-11 date! I'm really curious how the album will sound - I don't care if it's "omg so heavy, old-school Manson is back!!4!" or whatever, just let the music be interesting/enjoyable enough. xD

^ Cool, thanks for the quick answer.

Good thread idea. I have a question, and I just couldn't find anything on the net about it (or looking at the wrong places?): I see Yesasia has Korean versions of L'Arc~en~Ciel's albums which are like half the price compared to the original Japanese ones. My question is, if someone could answer it, that in what way do these Korean versions differ from the Japanese ones? For example, do they have an all-Korean booklet, or just an extra K-translated lyrics booklet, or different artwork, etc. Thanks in advance if someone could answer this. ^^

Oh wow, cool! The little snippet sounded okay. Really stoked for the album!!
-
Cool! The B-side is called Kiss Me, by the way.
-
Wrong Turn Pretty boring/ridiculous horror flick (I was expecting a little bit better).
-
Cool, looking forward to it. I'm glad that this time they decided to change it up a bit and not go for a P'unk remake as a B-side. edit: maybe the acoustic version will be something like this? aNyr_uBeDkE

^ Oh nice, so one song from their single, and the rest is all new. Cool!
-
^ I don't know about their latest single, but if my information is correct, then Shou hasn't composed a song yet. By the way, I'm expecting either a ballad-type song or a fluffy-poppy one (like Stargazer) based on the title.

Cool, looking forward to it!

Finally listened to this! Here's my take on the single: Heart of Gold is a track that I didn't really like at first (having felt that it's pretty bland and simplistic) but over time I've come to enjoy it. The previous single's A-side was more "instant hit"-like, while this one is more of a grower, for me at least. I wasn't sure what to think of that brief screaming part but I guess it's not so bad after all. It's a nice pop-rock song, nothing more. I was looking forward to hearing Ray, since Tora composed it an' all. It's a good song, not too remarkable but it does the job. I think I might enjoy this one more than the A-side. Those occasional chirping sounds irritate me a bit though, it almost sounds exactly like the alarm of my watch, lol. Haikara naru rinbukyoku (Another version) is a magnificent re-recording, a good way to close the single. I've always loved the original of this song and the remake totally does it justice. The solos in the interlude are just awesome. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with this release, even though I liked their previous single better. I'd give it a solid 7/10. Looking forward to their next release!

The new 60-minute Thy Catafalque album called Rengeteg will be released on November 11 in Europe, and on January 10 in the US through the Season of Mist label. Here's the cover and the tracklist: 01. Fekete mezők (Black fields) 02. Kel keleti szél (Eastern wind blows) 03. Trilobita (Trilobite) 04. Kő koppan (Stone knocks/makes a sound) 05. Vashegyek (Iron mountains) 06. Holdkomp (Moon ferry) 07. Kék ingem lobogó (My blue shirt is a banner) 08. Az eső, az eső, az eső (The rain, the rain, the rain) 09. Tar gallyak végül (Bald twigs finally) 10. Minden test fű (Every/each body is grass) I provided a translation of the titles in brackets. By the way the album title Rengeteg can either mean "lot of/a huge amount of" something, or it can be translated as "thick forest" in a more archaic sense. Can't wait!! ^^

The samples sound nice.
