^ Yeah me too, a couple days ago. Somehow I have a good feeling about these guys (plus, GRiST was pretty good). Would be cool to know a tracklist now... I hope it's 3 full songs.

^ Thanks for your live report! I'm glad the band was in high spirits and put on a good show. I'll catch them in Budapest on August 18th, can't wait!! (it will be almost exactly 4 years ago that I first saw them xD)

I'm not a regular metalhead anymore, but randomly stumbled upon an Italian (somewhat technical and kinda symphonic?) death metal band called Fleshgod Apocalypse. They're pretty kickass, they have this symphonic thing going on, especially on their 2nd and newest album Agony. It doesn't feel like individual songs, more like a continuous brutal slab of music with lots of gorgeous/subtle melodies throughout (and lotsa keyboards). Their first album is more on the traditional tech-death side of things, and they also have an EP which feels like a transition between the two albums' sounds. I recommend them, they're pretty cool. ^ Yeah, I checked them out too, they seemed pretty good. ^^ Gonna keep my eyes on them from now on.
-
Nice setlist, only missing 4-5 songs from their entire carreer!
-
Just checked these guys out, they sound pretty good (especially the vocals)! Looking forward to this single.
-
Ooh, two vocalists! I guess that explains the band name, more or less. Curious about these guys.
-
Cool, kinda interested in how they will sound.
-
^ Yeah, I noticed that too, nice one.
-
You've got a point there. So far all the good songs I've found are just enough to make about two albums' worth of material... But with that said, those songs are damn catchy! Still haven't listened to the new album yet, Mr. Simple (song) was kinda so-so for me but not bad.
-
^ Nah, it's just Under Code's discography page being buggy as hell (as always with new bands).
-
^ I think it's this way: - regular = 8 songs + DVD (2 PVs) - live-limited = 8 songs + 1 bonus new song + 3 re-recordings = 12 songs in total ...although track 01 is probably just an intro, not a "real" song.

^ The Malice Mizer flick you're thinking of is Bara no konrei (Bridal of Rose). It's hilarious too. xDDD
-
I'm actually kinda looking forward to this. I've listened to these guys like 1.5-2 years ago more, and in the past few days I just listened to everything they released since then. I don't really get all the hate for their newer stuff but yeah, it's a bit different than before. I think the music's just become more "fun" (or how to put it), at least it's quite entertaining for me (either honestly finding enjoyment in it, or the "so bad it's good" department xD). But yeah, calling this an album (and pricing it accordingly I suppose ) is just LOL.

A Serbian Film ...wtf.

Heard the sample a few days ago on the OHP, sounds promising.

Sorry to detract from the current conversation, but: DUM SPIRO SPERO limited site has opened! It needs a password to unlock all the goodies (I guess you get that with the album? or just the limited edition one?), but anyway, here's the directory for the photo library (wasn't too hard to guess the address xD), enjoy exploring! Lots of cool behind-the-scenes stuff about the singles and the album (PV shoots, zombie makeup, location shots, sculptures, sketches, concept art, alternate covers, etc). - "600" = bigger size pics concerning DSS - "ds", "hg" and "lotus" are obvious
-
^ Awesome! I like how they mixed in some PERESTROIKA songs too.
-
Cool that they are releasing stuff, despite being a session band. Curious for the result.

If you're thinking about that card thingie with the stamps they send you, I don't think you can (not from outside of Japan). At least that's how I know it but I'm not sure...
-
^ It looks like they're a duo now, and will work with support musicians on lives, etc.
