Thanks for the YT link (I never download PVs). I think it's okay. Normally I would prefer hearing more of the band/live instruments themselves, but seeing this is a collaboration with an electronic artist it's good this way. Some beautiful melodies in there! It doesn't sound as boring as some of their other recent electronic-y stuff (for me, at least). Still, I have to adjust to it a bit.

Cool that they keep us updated! Hmmm do I spy 3 slots (so possibly 3 songs?) on that chart/schedule in Day 2? (at least I assume that's the way they check off the parts that are already recorded and the ones that need recording)

New single in early-mid November! 2 new tracks and 2 remixes. http://www.rammstein.de/en/feature/newsingle/

Interesting intro! There seems to be some backwards-talking in the beginning, wonder what that's all about. And cool, thanks for the THEOL vid too, somehow I haven't seen that one yet!
  5. I finally listened to Tristania's album too but I didn't like this one so much. I don't know, maybe gothic/dark-symphonic/whatever metal is just not for me, but most of the time it felt like a chore to listen to the songs to the very end - despite containing some cool parts here and there. Kinda like drowning in a sea of too-soft purple pillows (somehow when listening to gothic-metal/rock that's the color I envision xD) while channel-surfing on the TV and occasionally there's something good but they always cut to the commercials. Kind of like that. I admit that they sound extremely talented musically but ehh...the music didn't really have much effect on me. The violin parts sounded good and refreshing though! I think I enjoyed the tracks Opus Relinque and Heretique a bit more than the others. So it had some cool bits but overall it bored me pretty much. I'd give it something like 5/10.
  6. Listened to the Amon Amarth album! I've never listened to these guys' music before, but saw their names a few dozen times in my life so far, so naturally I was interested (since I love metal anyway). I wasn't disappointed! When I heard it's 'melodic death metal' I had my reservations because I somehow thought it wouldn't be 'beefy' enough, but it's totally the opposite. Same when I heard it's kinda 'vikingy' - somehow I had a picture of muffled-sounding endless black metal-like songs with a weak folk-like melody or two that make me fall asleep...thank god that wasn't the case here. xD I like the energy and power the music conveys - the vocalist adds to this greatly too. The healthily aggressive and modern guitar sound is also something I love, so bonus points there! The songs themselves are cool (and catchy!) too, standouts for me include Asator, Gods of War Arise, and Cry of the Black Birds. The closing track is pretty epic too. I like how the album isn't dragged out endlessly, that 42 minutes is just fine. Overall, I kinda had some expectations, but they totally exceeded them! Good album, I might try their other stuff (and if I like those too, maybe go to their gig here in Hungary in November xD). Thanks for introducing them to me! Nice stuff, 7.5/10. Next up, Tristania!

I'm not much into hip-hop, but when the mood hits me: fm1cpfe5VmI (this must be my fave J-hip-hop/rap track I think ...when I listen to it it's all sunshine and stuff) zqgqV4Wmcv0 (these guys are nuts...in a good way xD) HZlcwU-lEGM (LOL I love Mr.OZ's growling...rap...voice...thing xDDD) ...or are these more 'rap' than 'hip-hop'? What's the difference? I'm not good at these genres.

^ Oh, so that was the [kanji][kanji]no[kanji] title, okay. Even more awesome then!!!
  11. Jigsaw9

Cool, I've liked basically everything these guys have done so far. Looking forward to the new material!!

Not currently (it's not out yet xD), but really really looking forward to the anime adaptation of Junji Ito's Gyo. *__*

^ I think 2012/03/05 might be a concert where the fans decide the setlist. 02/28 and 03/08 is some kind of 'battle'. I have no clue about the others (03/03 mentions 'live house' in the title, that's all I could decipher).
  18. ^ Hmmm I don't really like female-fronted gothic metal (let alone Nightwish, ugh), so I'm interested to try this out, after your encouraging words. Will listen to it in the next few days (and Amon Amarth's album too), and post my thoughts later.

Funky stuff right there! 8D And while we're on the topic of awkward gaijin celebrity CMs, who could forget...? Ui_6jBMSU9s

^ Well...unless they relocated to Minnesota and had some plastic surgery.
  21. Jigsaw9

    Yay, thanks! Will keep checking.

^ This must be some other band. If you scroll down to the "gigography" section you'll see some other weird tour dates/places where the Japanese LS clearly didn't hold any concert. xD Besides, they clearly stated that there won't be any more gigs in 2011.
