Ron Anderson's PAK played here in a tiny jazz pub, went to see him/them with lukrecia. It was amazing! So much energy!

Hopefully I'll have the other lyrics up by the end of the week.

Adding: - DIR EN GREY - MACABRE (first-press edition) - DIR EN GREY - DUM SPIRO SPERO Adding: - the god and death stars - addle apple Awesome mini album all around, plus the packaging is way too cool (although I'm afraid to tear/open it all the way up xD).

    ^ Yeeaah!!
  10. Jigsaw9

Thanks for the preview! It's okay musically but sounds kinda boring/unremarkable.

Picture of the cover of SINGLES from the KGF information blog: (and the last press of their album has the same cover as previous presses) The text reads "dokuiri kiken tabetara shinude" which is like their catchphrase/motto (it means someting like "contains poison, if eaten there is a risk of death").
  12. ^ I don't have a Nico account. Hopefully it'll make its way to youtube or the video download section here.

    Happy b-day, Champ!
  14. Anchuu roman long PV preview: G2AeE64nlhg Not bad but I could do without those bleepy-bloopy electronics. edit: by the way, the band's official homepage and twitter say that the release date is 2012/01/11, not 2011/12/28.
  15. Oh cool! I'd totally buy this if the Yen exchange rate wasn't so crap. xD

Gonna try to watch Virtual Suppression. Thanks again for organizing/compiling all this (I'm jani_kun from LJ xD).
  17. FINALLY!!! ...and oh, Makoto~ xD
  18. Oh cool! Looking forward to it. I initially liked their last album, but in the long run it didn't leave much of an impression. Hopefully this will be more memorable.

    ^ It's called Black Out.

^ I think they have some random domestic dates scheduled for around the end of the year and in the beginning of next, that's about it. Hopefully this means they're working on some new songs. Chianti: haha, yep, nice song!
  21. Jigsaw9

Thanks for the dates! Looks like I'll pass on this one, the Laruku gig is more important.

^ With the "Akihabara" theme of the cosplay-day and that ridiculous pink heart-y cutesy design the first image that popped into my head was of a weird AKB48-like dress-up.
  23. Listened to the two albums. Wintersun was pretty good. The guitarplay was top-notch and very creative/varied. I loved the random mellower bits thrown in here and there. The album felt like one big epic slab of metal, there were times when I didn't even notice a new track came on. Nice flow and atmosphere. The negative stuff: I absolutely loathe those tinkley-sparkly sounding synths (e.g. at the beginning of the album) but thankfully they weren't that predominant. Also, the "epic/melodic" vocals sometimes sounded a bit funny/weird to me, but other instances (nice black metal-like vox!) made up for it. Overall, it was a cool album, despite that I wouldn't listen to it every day. I can't say such good things about Russian Circles sadly. I usually cringe whenever I encounter even the thought of 'post-rock', it's just one of the things that weren't made for me. xD But I was kinda positively surprised in the beginning, the album had a good strong start with a nice solid groove and mood. Unfortunately, that's almost everything I liked about it. The first two songs were okay, then the rest just fades into dreamy/hazy forgettableness. I kept trying to catch the feeling because the melodies and structures seem like they involve lots of emotion, but I was left unimpressed and unmoved.

From what little J-punk I've heard I can safely recommend The Stalin, they were one of the classic HC-punk bands. r3OMoHX7qzA 5BVFFjVEg-M

Yeah, it would be definitely time! I hope they can get it together. Their last single was pretty good (as always). Maybe a bit of a thread-revival: what are you guys' fave MTH albums? Personally I'm most fond of Kusoban and Rockinpo goroshi, those are jam-packed with short to-the-point and hard-hitting (and most importantly, incredibly catchy) tunes! Mimi kajiru and Buiikikaesu ain't bad either but the former suffers from bad production and the latter has been always too long for me (if they cut down one minute from each song it would be heavenly though). So Kusoban / Rockinpo goroshi for me.
