Ah, what a rockin' Boris song! Reminds me of a holiday spent in Scotland some years ago, where I bought the CD that track is on (and blasted it in the car no less ;D). 1. MALICE MIZER - 月下の夜想曲 (Gekka no yasoukyoku) 2. König - 霜成る月に (Shimo naru tsuki ni) 3. DER ZIBET - Film 4. BAISER - パンドラの箱 (Pandora no hako) 5. Pink Floyd - The Narrow Way (Part 1) 6. BAISER - 君のいない世界 (Kimi no inai sekai) 7. Our Existence Is Punishment - No More Sun Shining Through 8. DELUHI - HYBRID TRUTH 9. D - 7th Rose ~Return to Zero~ 10. Laibach - Slovenska Žena MM all da way! Such a cheesy but wonderful song - also fun to see it being performed, haha.

Nice~

If NB were still doing their non-visual deathcore thing they would be an obvious choice for me, but the way things currently are: D.I.D. all the way! They manage to keep me entertained (eventhough it sometimes borders on the ridiculous), while Nocturnal Bloodlust I find terribly soulless and run-of-the-mill. It's funny because I loved that new PV preview of theirs, so I went back and listened to the VK stuff I've been missing out on from them but just...nope.

Easy choice for me. Kagrra, (eventhough literally almost every song of theirs blend together for me) is a pleasant listen, while Kiryu is just plain irritating.

I guess it's only one type (and kinda okay price at that too) because most of these songs were (or will be) already featured as bonus content on their recent single trilogy, either in audio or video form. Pretty cool that they're releasing the whole thing as one DVD tho!

Pretty nice, judging by the preview!

Black Angel (Kuro no tenshi) Vol. 1 Dear lord, this was a boring, awkward and useless movie... wow. Avoid this like the plague~

Don't know much of the artists there, but yay for LedZep! They were one of the first bands to make me realize back in the day that '70s dudes could rock it hard too. Respect! 1. lynch. - INTRODUCTION 2. The Atomic Bitchwax - If I Had a Gun 3. Machine Head - Ten Fold 4. Lycaon - Grow 5. AUTO-MOD - Devil Dance 6. DER ZIBET - やわらかな雨 (Yawarakana ame) 7. Alice in Chains - Dam That River 8. キボウ屋本舗 (Kibouya Honpo) - 君色 (Kimi-iro) 9. ムニムニ (Munimuni) - bito 4 u 10. Ministry - Let's Go Wow, I really like songs 7-9 but gotta choose... Went with Munimuni because their "Beat for you" is amazing in any shape or form.

That part from 0:48 is pretty epic. I might check this album out, been a while since I last listened to them.

Obviously MEJIBRAY! I can't stand DIAURRHEA, everything I tried from them was completely boring and lame, so... yeah. Whereas MEJI' has kickass vocals, awesome guitars and solid catchy songs.

Started reading The Lords of Salem by Rob Zombie & B.K. Evenson (well, more like a novel by Evenson fleshed out from Zombie's original movie script I guess). It's pretty cool so far, it has a nice subtly creepy mood. Also, it's interesting to see the differences between the movie and the novel. Gonna read Chuck Palahniuk's Damned afterwards, this time in English!

^ Awww I wanna see Evil Dead too (preferably in a cinema but no chance over here it seems .__.)... loved the original movies! My last one was The Host (the Korean movie, not that new one xD). Was a pretty nice and interesting monster flick.

MEJIBRAY's new release contains some old tricks and new surprises too, so let's see how this goes... Schwarzer Anfang: I usually don't think much of intros but this one has a cool mood! Really gets the whole thing going with its fast, kinda industrialish vibe. Messiah: Pretty nice regular ol' MEJI' song - fast and furious that is! Especially lovin' the last 1.5 minutes with the cool guitar groove + solo, and then the surprise chorus with shouted (Engrish) lyrics. Fallen"MARIA": Along the lines of Inivisible Tower Maker or Black baccarat. Not bad but not too memorable either. That little bass interlude is a nice touch tho. 【worms】: Woohoo this is fun & weird! 8D Good stompin' electro-metal-pop. Would be perfect if not for that ridiculous vocal effect in the chorus, lol (tho it adds to the quirkiness, that's for sure). 枷と知能 -それってとても人間らしいって神様は笑ってるの-: OMG this is perfect~ <3 Very cool use of autotune, I must say! Also this song is almost entirely in English which makes for some amusing lines (e.g. "pardon my hard-on / fuck let's go and get stoned" xD). I love everything about this song basically, it's really colorful (from electro-tinged weirdness to bouncy riot-inducing rock to subtle chorus melodies) yet not disjointed. insomnia: Another excellent track, this one will surely appeal to those who loved MEJI's older classics - it reminds me a bit of Divergence if I had to put a finger on it. Typical fast and cool (but not heavy) song with Tsuzuku's soaring vocals and MiA's cool guitar solo. I like the random bits they added to spice it up (piano, some interesting effects and noises). Good closing track. Schwarze Messe: An okay electronic outro that finishes off the mini nicely (more 'epic' than the intro). LOL interesting how they used German lyrics in both the intro and outro, yet managed to avoid the vk cliché "eins zwei drei vier". xD Overall this was a really interesting and exciting release, so I shall be listening to it a lot more in the future, surely! I kinda missed this feeling when experiencing their last two singles, so hopefully they'll get back on track again, starting with this one. Can't wait what they have in store next! | solid release with interesting sounds, good replay value!

In my opinion there is no better or worse, there are just different personal tastes. Personally, I find myself drawn towards more old-schoolish sounds on most occasions but there's also a number of newer bands I equally like. I also like that old sound because it resembles older Western music I love listening to (post-punk, new wave, goth rock, etc)... so eventhough there are lots of similar sounding bands even in that era, I don't mind them that much.

Hi there! Any favorite bands? (either Japanese or non-Japanese)

Ah, that's a catchy QotSA song indeed! Somehow their music always evokes a nostalgic mood in me, I like it (eventho I don't listen to them too often). 1. White Zombie - More Human Than Human 2. D - Lost Breath 3. The White Stripes - Girl, You Have No Faith In Medicine 4. 睡蓮 (Suilen) - 夕鶴会 (Yuuzuru kai) 5. Alice Cooper - Ballad of Dwight Fry 6. Suede - Animal Lover 7. The Kills - The Good Ones 8. ネガ (Nega) - lust[er] 9. Gama Bomb - Escape From Scarecrow Mountain 10. Blast - outro So many cool songs, so hard to chooose~ Gonna have to settle for the Ballad of Dwight Fry - the Coop' is the Coop' after all~
