Cool!

Here for the new album too! The advance track sounds excellent.

Wow... what a goddamn mess. I can't believe they composed this structure and then collectively decided "yeah, we'll go with this, it's great!" I like the more floaty parts and the chorus tho. It's just that the whole song literally feels like it was stitched together from three different (in themselves not too memorable) tracks. On the other hand, at least the video itself is pretty nice.

Supposedly the final version of the OUSIA album will have more new tracks, I think...? (and maybe not so many old ones)

Don't get my hopes up too much, Satsuki pls.

Whoah, new songs? Awesome!

Been listening to this black metal project Cobalt lately, a friend of mine called my attention to it. Pretty awesome destructive atmosphere. Heard he/they will release a huge double album in March. Should be something to look out for.

What is it with Ains bands and drummers leaving, lmao...

Same, I was kinda bored with House of the Devil. I 'get' the vibe, but I dunno, it didn't do anything for me, other than irritate me. Just watched Identity (2003 movie). Not recommending it. Lackluster story that turns into being absolutely ridiculous towards about 2/3 in. A waste of time.

Haha, well alrighty then~ 8D I do admit I kinda enjoyed the visuals more than the actual song tho (which, despite the attention-grabbing 'weird' segments, is pretty simplistic and production-wise is close to a dead robot being dragged on sand paper).

^ Have fun! I don't know any of those artists (except for Cult of Fire and Bölzer), but the song you linked sounds pretty awesome. Will have to check that out.

Saw the mighty Mgła last night and a host of local Hungarian bands! Svoid opened the night with their interesting 'dark' metal that combined traditional black metal with more melodic and atmospheric approaches. They had a great sense of ritual and atmosphere, but the music itself was kinda sub-par and awkwardly put-together for me (weird, cuz on record they sound pretty badass). The second act of the night, Dunkelheit was much better, especially in terms of sound: crushing two-guitar black metal attack. A cool destructive and sinister vibe, but the same kind of song structures got tiring after a while. The last 'opening' act (even though all bands played roughly 45-50 mins) was Lepra, who were pretty sweet as well. They created a good dark ambience and their style was more varied, switching to some really cool melodies and mid-tempo headbangers. They were really professional. The icing on the cake was a cover of Mayhem's "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas" at the end with guest vocals from Svoid's frontman. Then came Mgła and destroyed us all, heh. Very powerful mood. The overdriven bass guitar was absolutely crazy, gave a killer 'cutting' feel to the music. The crowd got into it a lot more too, which was good to watch (it was a sold-out gig anyway). All in all, an awesome night - it's just that almost 4 hours of straight-up black metal messed with my head a bit, lol.

^ 'Mook' is a cross between a 'magazine' and a 'book' or something like that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mook_(publishing)

Yay for new single!

Apparently Loyal To The Grave released a 2-track demo in late 2015... how did I miss thissss
-
Yeah, my theory is that the kids growing up on Mucc / Kagerou / whatever alternative 'nu metal' kei are finally picking up instruments (or just began wearing their influences on their sleeves more) and joining the vk funpool. Which I'm totally here for.
-
Yeah, it was just some random bouncy vk filler intro music with some mumbling at the end, lol.
-
I love and respect all the musicians involved, but...... I was cringing my way through that video, lmao. A combination of "oooh this is kinda nice" quickly turning into "oh wait, nope." xD Instead of #edgy and #experimental it just sounds tired and tiring.
-
^ There's still three weeks till the announcement tho. ;c
-
Not bad so far, I guess.
-
I smell dezert kei. Lookin' forward to hearing how they sound~

sukekiyo are not TOO far from that actually, kinda. I could definitely see them pull off something like that. DEG, not so sure.
