Yeah, I think it's pretty crappy too. I get that they want to 'protect their perfect image', but come on... I mean I'm irritated when there's a bunch of people with their phones out chillin' at a gig like it's the most natural thing to do, but restricting the use of cellphones/cameras is pretty laughable. Also, there are some Japanese bands who don't really care if you take pictures (or better yet, are super nice and down to take a photo with you after the gig), but those aren't visual kei bands, as expected.

Dang, they're really going all-in with dat 円 grab~

Ah, I saw the title in a recent setlist. Was wondering when it would show up recorded.

Just gonna leave this here... ...tho I guess it would be crazy for them not to appear supportive of the whole thing in the first place, so dunno how 'authentic' this statement is, heh.

Whenever I'm feeling kinda down, Adore Delano's "Party" album is a sure thing to provide me with some dumb, carefree fun feels. Not really feelin' her latest one tho, sadly.

Beautiful~ ;w;

Cool! Can't wait.

The first song sounds really nice, takes me back to old SCHAFT and general quirky industrial vibes. What I've realized while listening to these samples (and their latest album) tho is that I'd enjoy all of this much much better with Raymond on main vocals, lol... or at least someone with a darker and deeper tone.

Finally made a Bandcamp page, premiering my new EP! Music is on the short 'n' br00tal side, with the lyrics in Hungarian. I included a short description along with every track in English, tho it's not like anyone could make out what I'm saying anyway, haha. Oh, and if you download it. ;< Hope you'll enjoy it! https://jigsawjohnny.bandcamp.com/album/hal-l-f-j-veszedelem

I thought I made a Despair discography thread here on MH (I'm on mobile now, harder to check), but if not, I can pretty much upload everything that's available (I have most of their CDs). Edit: nope, looks like I only wanted to make one but never did. Now's the chance tho!

Despair, Der Eisenrost (Chu Ishikawa <3) and old Schaft all the way! Does anyone know of any current, or as of yet unlisted industrial bands from Japan? I mean the 'old' kind of industrial, more tribal and experimental than the usual copy-paste industrial rock (along the lines of old Einstürzende Neubauten, Test Dept and the like). Oh, and since I mentioned Der Eisenrost, I only saw this excellent live vid just now: Amazing.

I use Easy CD-DA Converter, which is also great for ripping CDs. It's not a free program, but you can easily "acquire" it online, ifyaknowwhatimean. ;<

Excellent~ <3 Currently reading - Bret Easton Ellis: American Psycho (quite good so far, as expected) - Robert Nye: Faust (pretty hilarious)

Not gonna lie, I'm kinda low-key excited for this. I like ScarJo, and she looks badass. ;w;

^ There's already a thread for J-punk btw: https://www.monochrome-heaven.com/index.php?/topic/30591-japanese-punk/

Yay, cool thread! Some of the punk or punk-related releases I've enjoyed so far this year: Daylight Robbery - Accumulated Error (listen) Tacocat - Lost Time (sample) Argument Clinic - Argument Is An Intellectual Process (listen) Really really looking forward to the upcoming White Lung album btw. Oh, and here's something cool I've been spinning lately, really frickin' dark stuff, just lovely.

Gonna be gooooood.

Yeah, it was a pretty awesome track. I'm just not that hyped/motivated about listening to single tracks, I prefer albums.

beautiful~ ;w;

Agreed. It took me a while to warm up to IMMORTALIS because I'm very iffy about long-ass albums, but it paid off. Beautiful and interesting stuff, I can always go back to it and re-discover it from time to time. VITIUM is a bit stronger to me tho, and also easier to digest length-wise, yeah. xD

The sample sounds promising, nice dancey sound. I hope the actual songs will deliver too.
-
^ Already deleted it, haha. I might come back to it tho, when I don't have a zillion other (more exciting) new albums to listen to.

I'm thoroughly underwhelmed by the new album. I kinda enjoyed Doomed User and Phantom Bride, the rest is all a snoozy grey blur for me that I don't even have the will to re-visit at all. I won't dwell on this any further tho, since this is the first time I've ever been let down by a Deftones release, and that's saying something for a band with such a huge history. So hoping the next album will be more to my liking!
