    Grieva has suddenly announced their current line-up LAST ITEM, a mail-order, made-to-order limited COMPLETE BOX "Dear...". It features a new song by GRIEVA which was debuted during their coupling tour, plus a live + making DVD and several goods.

    Femme Fatale's recent 'Freya'. Something has gone terribly wrong on that single.

    I thought their mini-albums were somewhat suspect as well―too flat.

    My contribution: LIN. Besides sometimes ruining songs by using too much background synth, their mixing/mastering is way too loud and always sounds clipped. How KISAKI listens to those things, with his 20 years of experience, and thinks they sound ok... I'll never understand.

    (Maybe it's to blame on this “sound advisor” guy who has been credited on a lot of their releases?)

    I've had the same problem on several updates. Seems to come and go somewhat randomly...

    The only thing I've seen online is the DirectWrite thing, which you mentioned. I just “brute-forced” the problem and uninstalled the offending fonts ^^; It's not ideal, but the annoyance of the ugly font was too much.

    If you want to go that route, you can right click the offending text → Inspect Element → on the right side, click Computed tab → near bottom of that window, you should see Rendered Font → that's the one you need to uninstall

    Again, it's not a good solution, but...~

    The song selection isn't too hot. Sure, I like lin, but sans Psalms and Lamentations, everything left are just some b sides I am not into too much. I rather have the rest of their old singles re-recorded. But since they did Metamorphose and Silent to my Pain and they are not releasing it on this I guess they will keep the better/more interesting songs to a separate one-by-one release for further cashgrab.

    Metamorphose re-recording is already released as privilege CD, and Silent To My Pain re-recording will be privilege CD for this mini-album. So I think that's all the re-recordings they've done (eg. no future one-by-one cashgrab).

    But I agree the song selection isn't very good. I HATE Call Back, but it's a representative song during lives, so oh well... I'm most excited for Silent To My Pain.

    Just hope they don't fuck up the mastering/mixing

    Is this how they always sounded? They always looked unremarkable to me, so I ignored them.

    That's the crazy thing: they ARE unremarkable. I'd tried them a few times in the past and always found them super boring. Then this single came out, and I really loved it. So of COURSE I went back and tried older stuff from them, but it's still super fucking boring and sucky (even the single right before!).

    But w/e, fluke or not, this single was great
