  1. Hey, nice to meet you.

I can understand the repetitive but there are still some great bands out there and some good new ones coming out!

Hope you find something you like to pull you back in the VK scene ^^

hello! I could tell you this, nowadays for me its really not a bother anymore. in some sense when things come TOO repetitive for how its represented, then yes I have a bit of a problem. with vk, im ok with it  : )

and thank you i hope so too!

  2. An Cafe was my biggest obsession during my high school days. I knew their music was too cheesy for me, while I was listening to bands like cock and ball torture, anal cunt, napalm death. I was pretty much a metal head but, an cafe was something to me.

on side i always wanted to look like bou. til this day i kinda do hehe

  3. Always nice to see an introduction/hello here whenever and however. Nice to meet you. Hopefully this will be the end of a lurker, aha. Come out of the shadows~ Fashion influence is always interesting, I wonder how much that's affected your choice in clothes. x3 Even if it's not so much in your music taste now, it's cool to see what you still listening to against what you used to. I'm more of a fan of the latter you've typed up! I see some classics in your current now. : 3

Well, I hope to see you around and posting/chatting! Even join us in the chat some time. Maybe you could even discover something new here for you to start enjoying/getting back into. ;3 All the best, hope you continue enjoying and welcome back!

thank you! I really appreciate your welcome : )

I definitely plan to post more around. and sure ill chat sometime.

    so much love in music.

oh and you can say I dress like satoshi ( girugamesh early days) ; )

    Hello!

If you're not feeling a lot of VK these days, we're always happy to have more people hanging out in the general and non-japanese sections. hehe.

Nice list though, I've been into all of those bands at one point or another over the years. Hope to see you around the forums and chat about music sometime!

ill check it out thos e sections for sure. i am kinda lacking on my vk knowledge : p

and same hope to see you as well. thanks for the welcoming : )

  4. Hey everyone! I'm not new as you can tell. Just like to properly introduce myself here since I really didnt go on this site. I lurked around. Id be surpirised if somene recognize this account. Met a couple of cool people though.

Well where I am at with visual kei/jrock is not so much in my zone of music. Still there, but not so much. It deteriorated through out the years because I felt it being too repetitive. I like to say it definiteley influenced me a lot to what I am now. Fashion for sure.

I still legitimately listen to Dir en Grey, Malice Mizer, Moi Dix Mois, emmuree, The God and Death Stars, Blood Stain Child, Girugamesh and X Japan. Yeah not much heh

I remember listening to Unsraw, Black:List, Lab., Deathgaze, An Cafe (oh bou my obsession), Sadie, Alice Nine, Maximum the Hormone, GaGaaling, [13], Yaminade, Necro Circus, Byakura, Vannessa, The Candy Spooky Theater and some more. Mostly just listened to their PV's or whatever I can find on youtube.

So why am I back? I like talking about music and hey I still have some vk in me hehe

  5. Hey Matsuchan, nice to know that you were the one making those top brutal visual kei band videos. I really enjoyed at the time when I first tried to find the craziest VK bands. Which your vids really nailed it! So thanks for that.

At the time during my VK days, it did feel that there was a scene on youtube for the vk heads. Made friends, discussed and even try to change back Girugamesh by sending letters on how we felt about the band. It was pretty cool those days.

For these days I really don't know nothing about any scene on youtube. I lost complete touch of the internet at most and visual kei. All I have to say its probably because the limitations of what you can do on youtube and how their new format is. It's just not the same basically.

  6. oooh I havent really been listening to any new sounds. Work gets me all tired *yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn*

but I did found a few

    Amon Düül II-

Great psychedelic band from the late 60's with cool crazy sounds!

  7. I rarely buy CD's 'cause most of my time living I never really had money. Anyways I bought...

Bullet For My Valentine Scream Aim Fire (It was those time of days when screaming and singing was fucking dope)

Bloodsimple Red Harvest (First album. I was just really into them at the time. Listened to them for months)

I don't regret getting them deeply, I still like 'em. Its just not part of my being. I don't know, they are just there to be there when I feel like listening once every year.

  8. None of the bands/artists from my shuffle posts are visual kei. 2 of them are non-Japanese (Bonobo and Radio Moscow). And of the 8 Japanese bands, only about half of them are on indie labels. 2 of those 4 playing some variation of rock, while the other 2 are firmly rooted in folk music and electronica respectively.

Well I got the Japanese part right :P me so good

    _____

ooh we got a hardcore odschool industrialist lol Never bother to listen to Throbbing Gristle. I love experimental music. Im going to look 'em up right now.

    Lush- Thoughtforms

Joy Division- Love Will Tear Us Apart

    Lowlife- A Sullen Sky

    Ride- In A Different Place

    Depeche Mode- Nothing

    Lowlife- Neverending Shroud

Siouxsie and the Banshees- The Sweetest Chill

The Smiths- Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want

    Girugamesh- [Gokusou]

    Siouxsie and the Banshees- Mirage

ooh "love will tear us.." and "The Sweetest..". Very good songs

*sigh* I love Lowlife, its just that the shuffle loves 'em too much lol

  9. Hmm I assume that the majority are indie Japanese or just visual kei bands

god what am I doing in this forum :| lol

Malice Mizer- Saikai no Chi to Bara

Sonic Youth- She's in A Bad Mood

    Lowlife- June Wilson

    Roxy Music- Casanova

    This Heat- Twilight Furniture

    Dir en Grey- MACRABE (remake)

    Iggy Pop- The Passenger

    Dir en Grey- [KR] cube

    The Velvet Underground- Sister Ray
