  1. now bear, he's a super Sigh fan

me, I'm just an obsessive Sigh fan

and yes Imaginary Sonicscape is amazing! something from the next dimension.

first track, and I knew that album was going to be great!

  2. Hiromi is amazing indeed, but I haven't really followed her much beyond her first 3 albums. Has she released anything cool since then?

im actually the same with you. times when I was listening to her I didnt had acces to the internet. once i did get internet, i explored punk bands. but yeah aside from that all I know is that I think she released a new album recently or something about touring. following her on FB.

ill probably litsen to her stuff in a bit. like to get into that jazzy mood :)

  3. Watched the movie Horns, the one with Daniel Radcliffe aka Harry Potter haha

i didn't choose to watch it

did not like that movie one bit. i say poorly written, acting sucks. laughable in some parts though

you guys should watch it if you never heard Daniel's english accent. hilarious!

does not suit him I'll tell you that

  4. kids can be so cruel. i mean it. Remembering these inhumane events I witnessed, it saddens me. Certain kids were just raised fucked up and they don't know any better, and generally that's how kids are.

I was bullied in many different ways. The thing about me was that I was different. That's really all it took.

I have no idea why I was different, I guess being the middle child had to do with something.

Remembering at a young age, I thought about my own existence and the idea of death. They were unfathomable frightening thoughts is how I took it.

While everyone's having fun, living their childhood, I was alone with my thoughts thinking, why is everyone so happy? Nobody understood my ideas. Even when I mention that I was having these thoughts, they just told me to stop thinking about it. No help for me at all.

The bullying stopped after middle school. I kinda became a role model of some sort during high, but that's another story to tell.

I really do feel sorry for the people that succumb to their past and continuing their childhood view upon this world. I wouldn't blame them.

  5. the idea of concerts i'm still trying to give an idea on what its all about. the general idea for me at the moment is just to enjoy the music, environment atmosphere. When I think of a live show, its one of the most amazing experiences.

but anyways aside from what I think about concerts, I've only seen Ikue Mori. it was something different. i wanna say it was a frequency show. something im not really use to. really enjoyed the sounds.

best live on vid would be Les Rallizes Denudes. Just because its cool to see such an obscure band have live footage. The live footage of them playing Night of the Assassins is so cool. Everyone's chilling while it looks like theyre playing on the mountains. Beutiful

  6. well, there used to be a huge thread about touhou and tons of touhou bands/circles somewhere on this forum, but i think it got deleted at some point. i'll try the short version here in the spoiler, zess can probably give lots more insight.

Touhou is originally a videogame called touhou project, a vertical scroller bullet-hell

there nowadays exist tons of these (12 or sth i think?) all created by one single programmer/creator. thing is, he is also in charge of the music, more precisely he originally ONLY did music and tried to sell that to videogame companies. nobody wanted it, so he said fuck it, i'll make the games for my tracks myself, so in essence the levels are the visuals to a computergame-music album of sorts.

long story short, the games became a huge viral hit. the type of 80s/90s-ish midi music quite often features musical aesthetics and harmonic structures that are also prominent in cheesy powermetal and very soon it became really popular for some guitarists/music arrangers on nico-nico to create metal-arrangements of these tracks, which became the genre Touhou-Metal by itself. this is probably the most widespread variation of it, but there also exists touhou-lounge, touhou-metalcore, touhou whatever. it's all based on the game's OST tho.

i hope the majority of this is somehow right, otherwise please correct me :D

that makes more sense to me now. I remeber watching this vid right here

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gz_71veAzzU

    whole thing so insightful haha

    but back to Japanese Metal

Heres Blood Stain Child. I think everyone here knows who they are.

They're my first encounter of electronic metal, or you could say melodic metal. It was a whole knew discovery of sound during that time. Never really grew but I liked it

    I loved Sadew's vocals!

    Exotic-6-Cordinator

  7. No problem. The clean vocals on the album is amazing. They really nailed that part.

oh yeah definitely. thats what i see from this album. cant really explain but the vocals really send out a big part of the whole albums theme/atmosphere. also its different and I like it haha

  8. I don't know that much but I'll just post some great tunes

Already mentioned but this song is very intensifying! the ending solo ohmylord!!

short lived band. loved their only album. plus that promo song or whatever it was. pretty good

I enjoyed this song a lot when I first heard it. I'm not so fond with the metal sub genres and what not, but this is power metal right? I think I found this song on the DeG Pandora station or most likely could be X. but yeah I dig this.

funnily enough the truest "metal" thing from a musical standpoint here is some touhou. most of the time i'm not a huge fan of these, because of either some pisspoor production or lazy songwriting (well, -arrangement) or both, but "Demetori" sure is something worth checking out. some of the most epic shreddy kitsch-laden melodic instrumental powermetal one can imagine.

oh dude i use to look around youtube vids of touhou, which i still dont know what that is basically. like is touhou the band or an anime.

    and they are epic!

  9. Play Alone by Asylum Party

    "desire somewhere inside me

so close and so far anyway

it makes me see white and black

the fucking endless movie I call life"

these lyrics reflect to my cold soul. whole song though. so cold

  10. i like hipster noise (pharmakon) and derivatives (tim hecker's louder stuff etc) dkm i have no clue how people listen to full on actual noise

it is a very uneasy type of music to listen to, I could tell you that.

I cant find myself listening to it constantly. only on moods.

for as my curiosities, I'm a bit skeptic on what/how the scene is. how they feel about noise. do they listen to it everyday? do they enjoy other music? many questions.

Im asking as if they were from another planet, but it is very unusual for me. guys like masonna, im like wow!

i did hear that Japanese find it arousing.

but I gotta say, noise is very enjoyable

  11. It's generally seen as their best by a lot of DIR EN GREY listeners so how unpopular is this opinion exactly? ;)

thats news to me actually. I'm kinda oblivious to the listeners favorites.

but I think its a masterpiece.

on that X Japan discussion. Its metal. I hear power metal and thats enough for me to say its a metal band.

  12. watched Initial D Legend 1.

very disappointed on many things. mostly just personal views like voice acting, dialogue, music and characters.

well theyre retelling the story from the series so I expected to be very similar.

movies like this I try to like it for what it is, but its just a big bother how lame it is compared to the first season of the series.

  13. Noise is where its at!

I listened to a lot of harsh noise bands a while back until I realized it was fucking with my ears. Its kinda hard to play that around the house knowing that my parents would definitely think "what the fuck is this kid".

I kinda stopped my search at the moment and currently enjoying other music.

harsh noise bands I listen to are Masonna, Merzbow, NON, SPK, Hanatarash, Keiji Haino, fushitsusha, lost aaraaf, The Gerogerigegege, C.C.C.C. A lot of japanese bands. Theyre just sick when it comes to harsh noise!

I listened to this soo many times

aside from harsh noise. boredoms are fucking amazing!!

    heres some psych noise

VERY into les rallizes denudes. the best sounds. beautiful

one of my favorite of "night of the assasins"

    very sad and beautiful

this song I get swooped away from reality. BE-UATIFUL

  14. D'espairsray was one of the first VK bands I liked. Much love.

and if #1's mucc, I loved their stuff too : p

    "Berry" Dir en Grey

    "Garnet" Malice Mizer

    "Yoo Doo" Can

"Beauty and the Beast" Dead Neighbours

    "Monument" The Sound

    "Aarhus" Medicine

    "Cello" Slowdive

    >>"Colour Blind" The Pop Group<<

"Deeper than Night (double heads)" Les Rallizes Denudes

    "chitei ningen mogura" Bo Ningen

I was surprised that the first 2 were VK. I have a bunch of non VK :P

It was kinda hard to choose with Monument. but The Pop Group! brings out my inner rage haha

"only intense can dance without moving!"
