I realized now that What's My Name by Miyavi is a total rip-off from Tommy the Cat by Primus.

There, their, they're — why is this so hard for some people? Why do they refuse to be taught differently? The same goes for other basic grammatical rules, sigh. It seems to be especially bad with native speakers and it's highly frustrating.

I've been playing a lot of Far Cry 4 recently, trying to discover all the areas and find all the propaganda posters, bells, journals, etc. It's such a big map, ugh.

Sui sung Le Ciel... oh my god, if there are ever live-recordings of this...

Ahh, I won't be able to make it since I'm out for the weekend for my sister's bachelor party, but good luck.

— Visual Kei bands tend to disband much quicker than western bands — This is a phenomenon that has been puzzling me for quite an extended amount of time. Now, this is more of a fact than an opinion (however, it could be seen as an opinion to others who don't have a foot in western music and solely listen to Japanese music), but it's still something I'd like to discuss, or hear from others about. I often read that bands feel they have 'accomplished everything' that they were aiming for. I wonder how exactly this is possible. Don't these musicians care for their income, the meager supply that they already have if they don't have a sidejob? What purpose has it to disband and form a new band with new members plucked either from the streets, fresh out of puberty or simply from somewhere else in the scene we know them from? Every new band has to build up a fanbase again, regardless of who the members are; they'll have new looks, new sounds, a new image in general that can either repel the fans who have been following certain members in these bands for longer, or miraculously attract them regardless of whatever their favourite guy does. It's an enormous risk to take and simply a leap of faith since there is no certainty on what the future brings. For bands that, let's say, have been going steady for several years, with a steady fanbase and a steady sound that they can either stray from on the odd release out there, or stick to and perfect it, what sense is there in disbanding only to start a new project all the way from the beginning if what they have at current is completely fine? It's totally pointless to me, it's like visual kei has this rotating-system where every member of every band must have been in a group together once otherwise it'll be bad for their reputation or something. For some bands it does work out, just look at THE BLACK SWAN or 黒百合と影, but more than often do these newly formed groups completely crash and the effort of disbanding and re-forming goes in vain. Just... why?

Why are some people so determined to upvote disproportionate pictures in Last.fm libraries. Do they not care that only two and a half members are visible?

They look amazing.

Slightly off-topic, but has anyone ever found the perfect angle to photograph multiple CDs or items of different sizes up-close, so that everything is actually visible? I cannot seem to get it right.

Here you go.

There's a topic like this somewhere already.

Native in Dutch and self-taught in English through television and video games. We were taught English in school but I didn't study a word for it in class, still I usually ended up with the highest marks. Other than that I was taught French and German but those did not stick with me.

My question was always: why don't people love ネガ? For me, they were one of the most charismatic and emotionally sustained bands around, and in their legacy they still are. Both visually as well as musically. I could simply explain them with the song 'guilt trip' on the album GRAVE OF THE SACRIFICE, which is likely the most recommended album by them. I've had the privilege of hearing this track live and I still can't get over how far it reached within me. I think they stand out because being founded in 2004, there weren't that many visual kei bands around with this image, or at least not in the spotlights. Kotekote had somewhat died out at the time and the mid-2000's were a place for lighter visual kei music like your mentioned vistlip, GUILD, An Cafe, etc. — ネガ broke through that image with being rancid and edgy, and I think quickly took the limelight with their aestethics. And oh, they've had the pleasure of bringing one of the best drummers of visual kei deeper into the scene for as long as it lasted, I'm still sad Yuu left (although I can totally imagine him playing jazz-piano in some bar). It hurts me to see how many people had and still have criticism on Jin's vocal abilities, however. There was a time when VANITAS was released, people were trashtalking him so much that he actually personally apologized on his ameblo for his performances on the album. But I love Jin, I love how lively he is, how bubbly of a character he has off-stage opposed of how he acts on the stage, how kind he is to his bands and fans. Not to mention, I love his music, simply put. For me, he is one of those guys who can undoubtedly cross that bridge toward someone's personal life-experiences and feelings.

There's nothing in particular in that list that tickles my nerves, perhaps the Ramones but that's it. – "Unmask" NéiL – "Disease" KISAKI PROJECT feat. 砂月 – "華眩" ROUAGE – "BIBLE" iTunes shuffle finally decided to give me a hard time. I love a lot of these tracks and it's not quite possible to choose but one favourite.

Why should some musicians or bands be embarassing to listen to? I like every artist that I show on my Last.fm, if I wouldn't like them, I wouldn't play it after all. The artists which I cannot enjoy that do pop up there in an unfortunate event — well, they are simply unfortunate to be on there, and unless someone is extremely obsessed with my musical taste, no one goes looking for them at the very bottom of my charts where the numbers range from one to five plays. No one should hide what they listen to, in my opinion. The only things I might delete or alter are scrobbles with wrong tags, but everything after that remains on there.

Why do people who never talk to you suddenly think you're interesting when you talk about school or work on Facebook?

Kekkai Sensen is my new favourite. By far. The entire vibe of this anime reminds me of a Space Dandy, Gatchaman Crowds and Kill La Kill blend — perhaps throw a little Durarara!! in the mix and there you have it. The first episode is action packed and I cannot wait until Saturday.
