  1. I'm only familiar with the names of some of the artist of that list, but I don't know their music. So... oops?

    1. My Chemical Romance - Vampires Will Never Hurt You

    2. A (エース) - Grafton Calling

    3. F.T Island - Wing

    4. SID - Café de Bossa(Live from TOUR 2012『M&W』extra in台湾)

    5. Nightmare - PHANTOM

    6. DIR EN GREY - Machiavellism

    7. VAMPS - The Jolly Roger

    8. Garbage - Stroke of Luck

    9. 雅-MIYAVI- 子守唄 兼 ラヴソング

    10. Foo Fighters - Learn to Fly

I don't use to listen to my "general" list, but I guess I should listen to it more often...

  2. Kerrang! posted a list a month before in which you can find 50 albums that you need to hear before you die. To any curious people out there, the list is here.

So, what J-music Albums do you think people really need to hear before they die?

Maybe we can make a list of 50 albums haha.

As for me, the first one I thought was [coll:set] from D'espairsRay. I'm not sure about the other ones that I thought, but [coll:set] is definitely one that people must listen to.

  3. Hope I can answer this even when the last reply was in February...

DIR EN GREY - Since I decided to start listening Japanese music (thanks to Nightmare's "the world" and a crazy friend), I was looking for music in YouTube and I was jumping between some bands like: Nightmare > Miyavi > the GazettE > Dir en Grey. My first reaction was "What? Japanese people are crazy!"

D'espairsRay - A friend of mine discovered that I loved DEG, so she told me "you must listen to D'espairsRay". I search in "Ares" and the only result was "Oboro no Tsuki". I loved them since that song.

    And my current favorite bands:

VAMPS - I was fan of L'Arc~en~Ciel and HYDE, so I discovered them since their announcement 7 years ago. At first I hated them, though.

[Alexandros] - Since they performed with VAMPS at JAPAN NIGHT last year (and this year in all the world), I saw them at a JAPAN NIGHT's video report. Love at first sight listen.

  4. Spanish is my native language (Mexican dialect, wooho!). I've been studying English since kindergarden, but I suck a lot haha. I can speak, write and understand... but I think I really have A LOT of mistakes.

I also studied French at University but it was French for translators, so I can read, hear, understand and translate (from French to Spanish/English), but my French pronunciation is horrible. Le français est très difficile!!!  I also studied Japanese for 4 years, so yeah... I can have a basic conversation and even use some keigo, write and understand, but just a bit.

    I want to study German!

  5. I live in Mexico and I haven't traveled to another country (and I was going to go to USA to see D'espairsRay and VAMPS, but at the end I couldn't and I still regret it), so my list is short:

    • ????/?? - BLOOD I don't even remember the year... 2006? The very first Japanese band that I saw, and I wasn't very impressed. It was in an anime event, and I was there due to my brother, so lol.
    • 2009/10 - Miyavi I failed a test thanks to this show. I was at the line at 7 am and my test started at 8 am, so yeah... It was worth it.
    • 2010/06 - Versailles At that time I was huge fan of them, and this show was just two days before my birthday, so it was the best birthday gift EVER. I had VIP ticket, so I got my t-shirt signed and I pissed off Kamijo thanks to Teru and his Engrish. Thanks to that I decided to start learning Japanese.
    • 2011/09 - X JAPAN Mexican crowd gone wild in this show. VERY WILD. I couldn't breath, Yoshiki did a lot of crowd diving and my neck got hurt with one of his boots and his butt lol.
    • 2011/12 - DIR EN GREY One of the best shows ever, I was crying so much when it ended, that show was so wild and so perfect I just can't describe it. I also got a t-shirt signed and a photo with Kaoru and Shinya.
    • 2012/02 - Masami Okui Another anime expo lol. Not my kind of music, but well...
    • 2012/07 - Kaya His live was in a place so small. I just can't say nothing more about it, it was ok.
    • 2014/11 - ONE OK ROCK This and DeG's one are the best Japanese concerts that I had the pleasure to attend. The energy, the passion, the feeling... I won't forget that show no matter what. And I was so close to Taka that could see his fear when he thought about do some crowd diving (and he finally didn't do it </3)
    • 2014/11 - Kanon Wakeshima The most boring one. The worst audio also. Though her Spanish was very cute.
    • 2014/11 - An Cafe I always wanted to see them live (this was their third visit to Mexico) and I loved the concert. You just can't have enough fun with them.
    • 2015/04 - LiSA I attended it due to work (just as some of the above) and I really had fun.
    • 2015/05 - SCANDAL I wasn't fan when I went to this concert, but at the end I surely was their new fan. Awesome show, nice vocals (I loved Rina's voice) and a lot of cool rock. I would definitely see them live again.

And soon (since I already got my tickets):

    • 2015/10/03 - VAMPS (finally in Mexico! YES!)
    • 2015/11/07 - DIR EN GREY and Jupiter (thanks to DeG's VIP ticket I will have a picture with the whole band this time. Yay! Still I'm not very happy to hear Zin's voice live...)

And I will probably go to ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION's live on November.

    ¡Hola! ¿Alguien? :D

  7. Hello! I'm Purlpi.... well actually my nickname was 'wicky' in Tainted World but I got problems with that account here :/ so I use another nick... anyway...

I didn't post a lot in TW so I guess I need to introduce myself...

I'm wicky or Purlpi (whatever.. actually I prefer wicky xD), I'm 19, almost 20. I'm from Mexico and my favorite bands are D'espairsRay, Dir en Grey and Versailles... and... I guess that's all (??)

    Nice to meet you (again...)
