  1. Just wanted to chime in to tell you this; If you have any questions regarding the gig on 13/07/2013 in Austria feel free to send me a private message! The gig in Austria will happen on a Saturday and we'd be very happy to welcome guests from anywhere (all over the world!) - so if you need assistance just ask, no matter what question you have actually (I can help with traveling-info, with hotel/hostel-info and so on...). I'm promoting this local gig and I want everyone to be happy, so all of that service is free for you if you really want to attend the show ;)

    over and out :P

  2. I really don't know why so many people don't like them... I think it's more for reasons regarding touring "every year" while people want to see different artists - because music-wise I really don't think they suck (live). Sure, there are better bands around, but then again - these are still Indies, and for what they are they sound pretty good (though I have to admit I don't know how the new guitarist will perform as he's a bit younger as far as I know - this could have changed things for better or for worse, I'll only know after the concert)...

    I mean when I look at some of the better footage from last year (Germany/Munich) I can't see where and why this should be crap (regardless of the fact that I'm not really into VK - but that's a story of taste and not of crap/not crap in my opinion);

  4. just wow - why this whole flood now (I'll add the German dates of HEAD PHONES PRESIDENT tomorrow if nobody else does)!

    Again a bit far away (more to the east would be good for me (like Munich would have been perfect) but I might be interested in cologne also :)

  5. oh, nearly forgot about the 2nd push… this can't be so here it is! :P

    1st concert in Vienna was totally awesome, didn't see anybody who was not happy or not impressed with these girls! Wonderful and skilled show, with the tight piano-use you won't miss the guitar and it's really nice and a little different then your usual rock-show. Exactly the stuff you'd see in a live-house directly in Tokyo - and not so much in Europe! Lovely girls you can chat (and drink) with! Also some very nice down-to-earth staff people (just private friends of them from Germany, America-staff will be a different one)… I can only recommend to catch them if you have the chance!

    If you have Facebook you can find some very nice concert-pictures linked in their channel already!

    And here's a short promo-video for the Germany-gigs (with actual footage from the first 2-3 shows);

  6. I know him better then everyone here.

    he also didn't do microhead because not enough fans.

    Ok, where? It all depends on the gig-date/day, location, town, country, promotion-possibilities...

    Munich hat a bit over 200 people at that concert, I'd say that's enough to get it payed - I won't say this would be the case at all places (the chancelled shows are the best proof) but you can't put that in a generally speaking context I think - every place and every country is different (like Screw worked really well in Germany but not so well in the other Countries around).

    but let's move back to topic again :)

  7. *little push* the girls arrived safely in Europa and have already enjoyed some beer in Munich :)

    it would be great if people are able to support them and attend the concerts - these are really nice girls, all eager to play some good shows over here! They even do a charity concert in a cancer clinic for the patients there -> that's an amazing thing to do for a japanese band in Europe if you ask me!

    I will keep you updated how the 1st concert was in 2 days! Until then please check out if they are playing somewhere near your place! Thanks :)

  8. I think this would actually have a chance to attract a "wider" audience and not only like the J-Rock and Visual Rock audience you have attending bands like D or Screw (both came with B7 so I mention them)… that's my opinion from a first listen (I'm not an expert and not really into them tho, but I think this kind of harder style could attract quite some people).

    Just stumbled upon this one - they will release their first mini album in march, and I think I will check them out as I really dig the the new video posted above! Maybe some people know them already (they seem to have a connection to Zankyo and have EP's out already) but I didn't notice them until now - so I'm just posting it…

    2 - Burial At Sea

    3 - Dream Odyssey

    4 - Pure As Snow

    5 - Follow The Map

    6 - Unseen Harbor

    8 - Halcyon

    9 - Everlasting Light

    ...seen them live like 5 to 6 times now and still - they never fail to impress me! MONO are easily amongst the greatest artists on a global level when it comes to guitar-walls and especially when it comes to maintaining beautiful and subtle melodies throughout a otherwise powerful and loud noise-carpet. It's hard to explain it but they really make beautiful noise with a melody and incredible crescendos after silent parts. If you have the chance; go watch it!

  12. 1 week is pretty short... you propably need a few days to get used to the city (moving around/transportation, people, maybe add jetlag). If there's a chance I'd suggest to add a few days.

    Are you travelling alone or do you have somebody with you (or over there) to make things easier?

    As for ideas: depends on what you're interested in... there are "classics" like Tokyo Tower (now it would be Tokyo Skytree), Ueno Park, Tsukiji and other stuff - you can get a good overview at http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2164.html for example... it really depends on what you'd like to see. Some people want to see the older parts of the culture, some want to see youth culture, some want to travel around a bit. I was usually just wandering around in different districts and in the evening I've attended concerts - that was enough for my part (I'll save the "tourist-culture" stuff for later in my life)...

  13. maybe it should also be mentioned that there are plans for a meet & greet for the first 100 sold tickets to each show and that there will be autograph sessions after the concerts (official mercy only)… Could be that this will be handled different at various places but I think it's planned for all shows.

  14. oh, totally missed this… I thought especially the Mac-clients went literally dead in the meantime.

    I'll give it a new try in a few weeks I suppose (quite busy right now).

    but yeah - a few years ago the j-inidie room was a very good source of hard to find gems (that was before the whole DDL flood though)…

    thanks for the heads-up :)
