    since it's only about 1 Month left (more or less depending where you're located) it's time to push this a little bit;

    The Tour-Staff for Europe just released an artist message some days ago;

    And another probably good message for the fans; after the shows there will be a short meet & greet for the audience. Please note; this is not an autograph-session -> only short meet & greet / shake-hands... but it's better than nothing I suppose. Just to let you know (got that from the euro tour-staff and it's official and safe to announce).

    If you have the chance to; please spread the word! Thanks :wub:

    It's not a job - it's just a hobby =)

    So far I've promoted TRILL-DAN, Doping Panda, Kokia and Loveless (Nana Kitade) in my country. And sure you meet them when you work with them...

    To be honest Visual Rock is not so much of my genre but I'm pretty open minded and when I get the opportunity to do something like this I just have to do it - in the end it means gaining a lot of experience (for the future) - regardless of the genre or the fanbase. It's a good thing to do, I get a look behind the curtain/scenes and see how different bands do their job and have the chance of getting more and more professional in what I do with every concert. I don't make any money with it right now and I also don't have a business yet - so it will remain a hobby - at least as long as I also have a "normal" job (which I need - because with some of the concert-stuff I have to actually put in quite some money in advance - not knowing if I get it back). With j-music only I could not make a living anyways... let's see what the future brings - I don't know where this is heading but I can't complain so far.

    none of my friends listen to J-music at all... so going alone is also no fun xD
    sorry to go offtopic but I just want to telly you my opinion; I think a lot of people are saying/thinking/doing the same -> I think the j-music & live scene in some countries would be much broader/better if only a few of those people would go to concerts nonetheless. I know that it is more fun to get there with other (like-minded) people but if everyone thinks so literally nobody would show up at concerts - sometimes there just has to be someone who steps forward. And in my experience after some time (ok - could be years) others will follow.

    On the other handside; everyone should know for themselves if they want or not… I don't try to convince other (or: drag them over) to go to concerts (with me). But I just watch the stuff I like - I don't depend on anybody for doing so. And it feels good…

    back to topic; seen the Wakeshima-Showcase (solo) at Japan Expo quite some time ago and was not too impressed… Maybe Budapest would be possible - but it's on a weekday so I can't tell right now.

    from there follow the event-details to the venue sites. It's a bit complicated because the schedule is not up on the site of their official promotor (if it's the same as ever) nor on myspace and the official japanese site (maybe the announcements follow later - still some time until october) - but these dates are all confirmed by the venues and you can call them safe!

    The shows in Paris were all great so far - I can only recommend to watch them!

    And they're really nice in person - if you go to the smaller gigs/venues it's very likely that you'll get autographs and even a picture together with the girls (I didn't want to bother them tough… maybe in munich if I make it).

    Don't have a setlist right now, maybe later on… the set remained the same at the different gigs.

    Oh, and if the audience demands it (really long and loud) they'll come back for one more song!

    setlist in Paris was the same as in London…

    Yoshiki stagediving; 1x

    the venue was not completely sold out but pretty crowded (I'd say 80-90% full, but it was my first time there so I can't tell). The audience had good spirits and mood and overall it was pretty nice if you ask me (the view of someone form "outside" as I'm not a hardcore-fan and also not french).

    I was at the concert in Paris… it was a nice show.

    But I personally found the sound a little bit too loud at times (the mix and not so clear vocals).

    Pata with beard looks totally superior!

    (always a slightly smile on his face, sometimes just watching the audience when not playing - I loved that)

    I also made the experience that it can be very difficult to get the info you want when you need it…

    As mentioned their own interests are often more important to them which makes it very hard for local promoters to do their work - but usually it's the promoter who gets blamed for everything and not the artist/tour-management. It's just not that easy to get this stuff done and on top of that it can cost a lot of money…

    The problem is many organizators (almost all germans :shock: ) do NOT reply to Italian managers, like CLJ, GAN-SHIN and even Astan Magazin ignored an Italian promoter (aka the guy from Matsuri Italia, check their OHP) who wanted to bring Nega to Italy. So I am free to bitch around how I want, I am really disappointed by this racism against Italy!

    A promoter has to contact the tour staff or the management of the band regarding getting a date - not other promoters/organizers.

    Contacting promoters of other countries makes not too much sense if they've never been active in your country before. Promoters usually do their own thing and are bound to limited countries/places where they know how to work things out. If you don't think they let you do things under their name you have to do your own thing by getting directly to the tour staff or band management (1st is usually better). I wouldn't expect to get help from e.g. Gan-shin who are operating in their respective countries only - they have their own interests… Maybe people need to learn that some of the stuff has nothing to do with each other… the promoter is one thing - the tour management is one thing - the manager of the band is one thing -> all of them have their own interests and their own ways to communicate things. It does not necessarily fit all together depending on the external viewpoint… So - maybe it is not nice from other promoters to not get back to the italian promoter - but to be honest -> it's not their job? What was the response of the tour-management?

    just my 2 cent (not knowing the exact situation with Nega)...

    pretty sure it's the best spot for seeing some oft the more major artists…

    I personally prefer RISING SUN up in the north…

    Their lineup is a bit more on the indie side but nonetheless very good (you just won't see artists like Perfume there).

    But I've never been to Rock in Japan - the one time I wanted to it was sold out already… I've been to RISING SUN once and it was nice - but also exhausting (Festivals = long walks, not much sleep, long waiting lines for stuff… and so on). Said so I prefer the local Livehouse-scene in Tokyo… But those festivals are a good chance to see lot's of bands in a short time period… of corse you'll be able to catch only 1/3 or 1/2 of it because it happens on different stages and stuff.
