  1. I am so curious about their setlist and look. This has a different vibe of Akira's other projects, with songs with english titles instead of just japanese. New vo. And ba. are surely because he moved from Tokyo to Matsuyama but I wonder what style they're going for. Will Akira's style work with just one gu.?

  2. I'm not surprised.

They were a cheesy sounding band even before Sala left, but they were tons of fun and still likeable.

I think people had super high expectations when San joined, including BFN themselves. I simply think they took a huge fall when that happened.

I'd be mad and not getting along with people too if things didn't seem to be going as planned or very well as I thought they would either.

Plus it's VK... I've learned to never be surprised.

I also think like this, bfn became río different with the new member/ direction. I don't think their new stuff is good enough.

  3. New compilation titled Best tracks 2006~2010 [vapor].

Visual kei band, NIGHTMARE brings the second greatest hits album made to commemorate the 10th anniversary of their career. Includes "the WORLD," which is the main theme song of TV anime series "DEATH NOTE," and more for 28 tracks (subject to change).

28 are quite a lot imo.

  4. Yomi can still achieve his deeper tones, those are still in the single and sound quite good imo. This less forced way of singing is probably out of character for the band but with the fair ammount of work I think it could have positive effects on the band's output. The classic deep Yomi voice sounds cool but is not flexible in range. This way of performing (the one in Rauken) is a bit closer to the way it was in earlier stages of the band wich had actually a wider vocal range to them but it wasn't too refined. I see the oportunity for the band to mix their current 15 years experience with a less restraining vocal style while preserving Yomi's throat health. We'll see if they can pull it off or if they are going in other different direction with this.

My hunch is that they are at least trying. A and B sides from this single are arranged in a much more 200x-Nightmare way that in a 201x-Nightmare way. That was also done in Carpe and some of ToNtB, though.

  5. That was actually pretty good. I like the Deus Ex Machina vibe it has even if it isn't as good. I am ver unsure about Yomi's volcals on this one. Like, very confused. We've heared hints of this in Nightmare for a while and it did not blend in very well... now that it seems it does it sounds very different. There are parts I like and others that surprised me.

Anyway seems like this single can be pretty OK imo.

Surprisingly they will be releasing other 2 best ofs in the near future. I though AVEX did not have the rights to the songs from their previous label.
