Actually since they probably want to become famous in Japan what they are doing is pure logic. Japanese visual kei fans in general don't give a shit about the old school bands. There is a reason why for example old school guys like Kenzi (even though he has been in the legendary band Kamaitachi, still plays almost only at Shinjuku Birth) or the 90's revival events are held in small live houses (like Rokumeikan, Ikebukuro Cyber) while for example Arlequin plays at much bigger places. The fans of old school VK in Japan are in general people who were fans at the time those bands were around for real, and most of them don't care enough to attended their gigs/buy their new music anyway. It's not like here on MH/in the west, where there actually seem to be a lot of old school vk fans.

this is pretty cool

this seems like a good topic to point this out, i always liked your cat avatar . it's a cool cat ^

also surprised by that. especially considering sugizo's extreme anti nuclear/anti war statements.

As written on his profile on twitter, Yuuga will have a new big announcement on 21st of June. No idea where or with what band (Deadly?).

According to the japanese fans, his real name is not even Tooru (same as western fans think Die is "Daisuke"). Well, from a japanese "ask" (http://detail.chiebukuro.yahoo.co.jp/qa/question_detail/q1480058594) these are the real names of the dir en grey members (however, they dont want to be refered to as them, and they are deleted as soon as they are posted on visual kei sites (like vkdb). Vo.京→西村 宏則(にしむら ひろのり) (Nishimura Hironori) Ba.Toshiya→原 敏政(はら としまさ) (Hara Toshimasa) Gt.薫→新倉 薫(にいくら かおる) (Niikura Kaoru) Gt.Die→安東 大(あんどう まさる) (Andou Masaru) Dr.Shinya→寺地 晋也(てらち しんや) (Terachi Shinya) But as far as I know, Kyo's real name has actually never been confirmed

Some translation corrections: (My japanese isn't perfect either, so if anyone sees mistakes or a better way to translate, please tell. Had some problems with the last part). I personally would translate like this: "Your lingering scent in the room that the two of us spent time in When I look up to the clear sky All the memories overflows within me It hurts... it hurts... it hurts... There's not a single cloud, on this clear morning and on a day like this, I will hang myself At the seat in the terrace a light pierces I'll write* my suicide note and send it to you I want to vanish The sky is very clear On a morning like this, I'll come to you Stroking The Skin. Bathing In The Breeze I'm writing for you The kanji is egaku (to draw) but Kyoki sings kaku (write).

My favorite album by them is Seventh Heaven.

Considering their discography I kind of expected like a "double album" (2 discs, 10 songs each). Not 8 songs in total :v oh well.

yes, and also that message does in no way say that "Grieva" is an alter ego of グリーヴァ. from what i have experienced, they do not do anything different at their liveshows when playing the "grieva" songs. so i am just curious if there actually is any japanese source for this, or if its western made up stuff.
-
-
I think they released one single under the name GRIEVA. Not sure where the "alter-ego" thing came from, if there's a legit japanese source then I am interested in reading it. I only ever saw western people claiming this, so. But then again I weren't into grieva when they released that single either.

If it's a joke then I don't get it, but their name is written in katakana...
-
Loved their last single. Not very impressed with this yet, but let's see what the entire single sounds like. I did really enjoy their omnibus track though

Karasuna Mei from Kuroyuri to kage is an amazing performer. I also loved seeing LUNA SEA and Dir en grey live...... Mucc are also great. For western artists, a band that really made a great show was System of a down. Will never forget them lol. I enjoy most concert I go to, even if it's bands that are unknown for me. But the ones I mentioned have/had something special.
