Hmm, I tend to think some styles become the pattern, just like in any other music styles. Goths have their patterns, Punks have their patterns, and so on. So they repeat sometimes. Like most Visual Kei musicians (at least in the near past) wore the typical Visual Kei hairstyle inspired by the super saiyajin hair. Some are just coincidence. Meguru

Some seem coincidental to me and others plain copy.

Ten current Visual Kei bands? I cannot count ten because I hardly like this new era of Visual Kei o.O 1. Moi Dix Mois 2. GRIEVA 3 Lacroix Despheres 4. GAUZES (I have listend a bit of their music and I'm very much interested in them) 5. Rose Noire There might be a couple of bands that I might like a bit apart from the ones I numbered, but I cannot think of them right now.

Thank you. There is something like a preview of their single -Hana- on their Youtube channel and I quite liked Tsuioku, too. I feel kind of desperate to get the album xD. But as I have never purchased via the internet I have all sorts of fears regarding the purchase process, payment, shipping and private data security.

By the way. How much is the album in US dollars?
  6. seikun

Oh, do those songs sound similar to La'Mule's and Madeth Gray'll's songs?

Maybe an english accent would suit better I guess...

Lucky you! I want to listen to it.

Some people seem too concerned about Kamijo's age... No one is OLD being in their forties or almost in their forties. Actually, today things are quite different. People grow old slower now. The thirties are the new twenties and so on. Back to the topic. It is a very good surprise to see both Kamijo and Mana working together. And I also agree with someone above this looks more promising than what Jupiter is doing.

Was that Man?????????? Oldschool VK POWER!!!! Actually I could note Mana's musical style in this short preview. Very noticeable. Also, Mana looks very much like Juka in his Moi dix Mois days. This looks interesting!

My contribution to the thread. Noir fleurir With makeup. Without makeup. I am looking forward to seeing pictures of members of Lareine. Someone post up some, please!

I can't believe my eyes. So manly in this picture and so soft while he was in Vice+Risk xD Does anybody have pictures of ARISU ARISUGAWA (ex Missalina Rei) without makeup?
  13. seikun

I guess I am waiting for someone to do it too, but I would buy it if there was an easier way for me to do it.

Actually, it would have to be my mother's credit card. I don't have one xD. But I know she will say NO. I have never purchased via internet before, by the way >.< I need to make friends with a japanese I guess xD By the way, is the preview's song called Yurikago too? I love that hypnotic guitar line.
  15. seikun

I wish I could order mine too. But I don't know how to make everything and I don't think it is safe to use private information like your credit card number on the net O.o Anyway, don't forget to tell us about the songs once you have listened to all of them.
  16. seikun

Has anybody had the chance to listen to their album Yurikago yet? I wish I could buy the album.

    How is his health now?

How about some old bands like Aliene Ma'riage, Due le quartz, and Verfe~gorl. Old school Visual Kei was more about insanity and hypnotic melodies, but screams can be found there too. Due le quartz - Beby Merry PV http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyVlVQvnE6w
  19. Oh by the way. Have Dir en grey members said anything about GRIEVA?
  20. GRIEVA puts me in a tight corner, so to speak. I like most of their songs and I loved the preview to Amai unou, akai sanou, and now that I have already listened to it completely I love it even more, but at the same time it is kind of sad they are copying from Dir en grey this much. Even that song's PV seems a copy of Myaku PV. I think it won't be a good idea to keep doing this till the end of the band. It could be counter-productive in the end. I mean they should find inspiration in old school bands, but not copy them. By the way, GRIEVA say they are "the successors of the old good times", but Dir en grey isn't the only band that represented the old good days of Visual Kei. There is a great number of old Visual Kei bands they could get some inspiration too, such as Key Party bands. Anyone who knows japanese and has read blogs or forum discussions about GRIEVA's music, what do people say about their music? Sorry about my crappy english. Corrections are very welcome^^

I can't help thinking all these tribute albums that have come out in the recent years aim to give a boost to this new, somehow decadent era of Visual Kei. Hide's musical legacy is a good idea for this purpose. I'll be waiting for these albums anyway.

Hi. Could anybody post the lyrics to this song by LuLu? It is stuck in my head and I would love to learn the lyrics. Thanks in advance!
  23. seikun

I am still wondering whether that is Taa's actual hair or not xD. It seems to me that it is a wig... By the way, Taa's voice in this PV (301 byoushitsu) sounds kind of worn out or something...
  24. I like the preview. Although it reminds me of Bal Air by Malice Mizer I still like it. The chorus started somehow weak... I just hope they realise they can't spend the rest of they life as Grieva ripping off other bands' songs. I think Aliene Ma'riage is a good source for inspiration when it comes to portray the distinctive sound Visual Kei achieved in the late 90's. I would also suggest Verfe~gorl.

I would love to listen to those singles.
