  1. How old is Kisaki now?

Wow, that is a lot of songs. I have the impression that Batsu might as well sound a bit like Tsumi to batsu, mitsu to tsuba... I just find the release date to be an eternity to wait. u.u
  3. My question is is this really going to happen? Usually an old band announces a revival and after a time it is all cancelled. It is like I don't want to believe this until it happens.
  4. 清人 I wonder what they mean by "Retro Japanese Rock" as it is written on their homepage.
  5. The vocalist reminds me of the CELLT's vocalist. I don't remember his name... He looks and sounds like him.
  6. The news about DEFLOWER's revival reached me a few days ago. If anybody here is going I hope they take a lot of pictures and if allowed, to film the revival. Although I remember that last year I was told that Missalina Rei was going to revive too, but it seems the revival was cancelled...
  7. Interesting project. I hope it turns out well. The use of apostrophe is a must for old school Visual Kei band names xD May I suggest a a few bands for inspiration? I just would like to suggest Verfe~gorl (specially their song called Kindan shoujou) Gill'e Cadith and Lar~Mia. Although I am sure you already had them in mind, but I just thought it would be good to recommend them as good examples of the sound of old school Visual Kei. I am craving for catchy hypnotic sinister guitars and bass like those in Doukei Hajou Sekai by La:sadie's or Vacillate by Lar~Mia. Good luck!

    Hmm, boring guitar lines.
  9. Interesting band. I didn't know of them until now. I specially liked the songs in the first video posted above.
  10. Does this mean that Louis is selling well then? Once the album is out I think Kamijo will have to think about a world tour...

Could this be a producers' thing? Maybe the people behind them who have all the power demanded that the band sounded a bit like old school Visual Kei Dir en grey... Or maybe they are composing songs "inspired" by old school VK Dir en grey in order to build a strong enough fanbase and when that happens they will phase out the Dir en grey "inspiration"... Who knows.. Waiting for the album.

I exagerated way too much. But my intention was not to bring the guy down at all. Visual Kei has changed very much through time. I don't listen to "Neo Visual Kei" or whatever name it has been given. However if I compare today's bands to old school Visual Kei I see that vocalists in most Visual Kei bands today sing well enough and maybe better than most vocalists of old school Visual Kei. Apart from GRIEVA and GAUZES I don't listen to more bands from this era of Visual Kei (I cannot remember more right now...). So these two bands are like an oasis in the desert for me. Well, my point it that I feel there's a "standard" when it comes to vocalists today and that may help a band get some degree of success along with other factors. I would like Pink Tribal to be successful enough so that they last as long as possible. I don't need Chaos to sing like an angel. I just hope he will improve his vocal skills because at least to me he has a nice vocal range. I also hope they will compose their own song and a few covers.

I acknowldge I was judgemental in my previous comment, bit I wasn't cornering him to take lessons anyway. I don't want them to disband either. If he thinks his voice is not good enough he will end up believing it and will eventually do nothing to improve. I think he has a voice for singing. I can't reach high notes like he does, I wish I could. Is this his first experience in the music world? I apologise if I was rude.

It seems to me he has a voice for singing (nice range), but he lacks technique. Has he ever taken singing lessons? Maybe in the 90's it was more permisible to get vocalists singing off key. Most vocalists were very young and unexperienced. However I don't see why he wouldn't do anything to improve his skills (if he hasn't yet). When you like what you do you keep improving. All it is required of him is just learning how to sing better than that. It will eventually help the band and himself. I sound so judgmental >.< I usually don't have problems with vocalists who sing off key, but I have seen that even though I don't like today's Visual Kei bands a lot of vocalists are far better than most 90's and early 2000's vocalists.

By the way, CHAOS is really off key. I love what some call crappy Visual Kei, but his voice is too much for me. I don't understand why the other members of the band don't encourage him to take a few singing lessons or why he doesn't realise that himself... I mean he is surrounded by other musicians and of course, other vocalists who he could ask for some singing lessons... If I knew enough japanese and had a twitter account I would dare tell him to take singing lessons xD

That sample reminded me very much of Nounai Morphine by PIERROT... Kind of plagiarism... :mm: So it seems to be Pink Tribal's objective musically speaking is still not clear... Also, I don't quite understand Kyouka's position in the band. Will he scream and make other noises only? no singing?

I loved 秀暁's looks. Very 90's I have already watched the video they posted on their official website several months ago. I loved it when they played Sterilization by La'Mule. But I would like to know what the project is about. Will they release their own songs? Will they cover old school Visual Kei songs or both? I want samples!!!!
  18. Metis Gretel. I found the band in March of 2007 and I just loved them. The first song I listened to by them was Metamorphose. It was sad when they announced they would be disbanding. Although I kind of didn't like the last release that came out before they disbanded. There were some good songs in there, but they felt different... Hard to explain why I kind of don't like that release much...
  19. Hmm, maybe EREMIA. I still remember when they published the announcement on their disbandment on their official website. The background of the announcement was filled with roses. I think I saved it on my PC... I am not a die hard fan of the band, but I used to like them very much in those days when they were around.

I forgot another band I came across about 2 weeks ago. It's called シビレバシル (Shibilebashir). I recommend their PV called ストレスハカイ-吉祥寺ニテ破壊編-. The PV is hilarious, specially at the end and the song is really good.

Wow! Finally I will be able to learn the lyrics. Thank you very much for sharing!!

Maybe not many for me this year. GRIEVA - Even though they clearly make most of their music from old school Visual Kei Dir en grey I just love that they brought back the old sound of Visual Kei. GAUZES - Another band that has revived the 90's sound of Visual Kei. Their album called Yurikago is definitely worth buying it. Misa 弥叉 - I kind of knew about them before, but never had the chance to listen to them. It's not that I like every song of theirs, but there are a few ones I like, specially Kogareta ai wa gin no sora.

Not only that. He was very graceful with his facial expressions and the way he moved.
  24. seikun

I love Kikasa's very elegant style.
