German, English, Japanese. (German is my native tongue, English I learnt at school, Japanese at university.) Had French and Spanish at school for 2 years each, but it has deteriorated a lot since then, so I didn't include it in my vote. XD Oh, and 5 years of Latin. But you don't "speak" Latin, unless you are my crazed, latin-obsessed friend, who can actually *speak* it, so.... But I like languages and hope to learn more one day. Russian, Icelandic and Finnish hold my interest.

To quote what has been said earlier: IPS4 will have a "Mention"-feature, and we will upgrade to IPS4 once it has a stable, full release. At the moment there is only a release candidate availible, and we don't want to break the forum, so please be patient until the full version is released.

I'm far too old to still live with my parents, so I voted "They don't know". We may have talked about it on occassion but it's nothing they really care about. When I was still living at home as a teen I was listening to gothic stuff and Marilyn Manson, and they didn't mind that either. They shouldn't be ones to complain anyway. When they were young, my father was a long-haired anarchist throwing molotov cocktails at demonstrations, and my mother was pretty much a hippie. I was probably more conservative in my teen years than they were at that age, I was just a half-assed goth, I didn't drink, I didn't smoke, I didn't party away the nights. I remember how they one day would come to me and say "You know, if you ever want to try out weed, better come to us, we can have a joint together, it's better than getting it from strangers", and I was just flabbergasted because the thought hadn't even occured to me, lol. So yeah, they're very liberal in that regard, my musical tastes really are the least of their concerns. XD

My stuff has arrived (a few days ago, actually), and everything is as it should be. CDs are in perfect condition, wouldn't have been able to tell the difference if I had bought them new. Can recommend.

Not into hiphop, but I'll be at the Rarezhut stream anyway. Maybe next time.

Thinking of replaying Witcher I and II. It's been years since I played them and I feel I need to refresh my memory in terms of story and lore. Not that I'm planning to buy Witcher III anytime soon (too expensive), but given my speed with games (or lack thereof) the price may as well have dropped by half once I'm done with the first 2 parts. XD In the meantime I replaying Dragin Age Inquisition, this time as a male, just so I can have Dorian, goddamit.

This seems to be relevant to this thread: Looks like there is still some life in last.fm, because as a subscriber I recently got in invite to check out the beta version of the upcoming last.fm site. If you're interested, here's some screenshots: New profile page: New artist page: Since this is a beta and a lot of things are still very rudimentary/non-existing, I will reserve judgement on the design for now, like the round profile images or the "track name - artist name" format... but yeah, there still seems to be some developement going on. There's a Followers/Following tab on the profile page, so I guess they want to put more emphasis on the social-networking aspect again? Apparently the "Following" tab is just everyone of my last.fm friends, while the "Followers" are just my 10 most recent ones... presumably the ones I got since the beta started. Doesn't make much sense, but eh... it's a beta. The radio/stream function is basically just an embedded Spotify, so that's probably as deep as that feature goes.

I approve of nonsensical bands with lulzworthy names. They'll either be funny, or so bad it's funny. Either is fine with me.

Now I feel kinda bad, I'm almost 35 and I still have band- and videogame posters on my wall. I'm such a nerd .__.

Seriously people, can we maybe not make this a personal issue? Yes, the band is important to you, we get it, and everyone is free to express their disappointement about the disbandment in this thread, but please keep it in persepective. Telling each other "to get help" or similar things is only going to cause drama. Just... stop. I don't want to see any more personal attacks in this thread, or I will hand out more than just a kind reprimand.

Depends on my work shift, hah. Seriously though, if I have the choice I usually find myself staying up longer and longer each passing day, so I guess I'm a night owl. I still kinda like early morning shifts too though. It means I'm at home at 3 pm and the day ist still young. There is something very motivating about getting up early, I dunno, you just feel you have so much more time at your disposal, even though you really just spend the same amount of time awake. It's still a good feeling.

Well, then my old computer was even suckier than I thought. XD Well, it actually did have a decent CPU and memory, I think it was the mediocre graphics card that was dragging it down. That's why I made sure to get a really good one this time.

Well, I got a new computer, so.... The basics: CPU: Intel i7 4790 @ 3.60 Ghz Mainboard: Asrock H81M-HDS Memory: 16 GB RAM Storage: 240 SSD + 1TB HD Graphic card: Geforce GTX 970 (4 GB) Haven't fully tested its capabilities so far, but I can say this already: I'm currently playing Dragon Age: Inquisition (a game that I suspect to be poorly optimized for PC anyway) - my old computer (which wasn't really that bad for its price) got an average of 30 fps with occasional lag spikes - on the lowest graphic setting. The new baby runs the game on maxed out graphic setting at a lovely 75 fps. ^__^

I used to romanize my filenames while keeping the tags kanji/kana. But at some point I just stopped bothering and left the filenames in kanji too when I got them that way. Now only my folders which carry the artist names are romanized because even after 10+ years of studying Japanese, the japanese ordering system of kana and kanji (specifically the latter) still weirds me out.

^ I always figured that not voting at all is basically the neutral stance. Then again, I never use the "meh"-button at all either. If I really can't stand a song I just snooze it out and wait for the next. No point in riling up people about it. Anyway, I wish I could come more often, but I always seem to miss the announcements, or it happens at an inconvinient time for me. I must admit that often I just idle in the room and have it playing in the background as a sort of radio. But if I see one of the announcements, I usually drop in, even if just for a little while.

I have been with last.fm since it was still called Audioscrobbler. I think it was a pointless endavour to try becoming a streaming/radio site when there are others who do it much better. Sure, the recommended tracks radio was nice, but not the reason I signed up. I want to scrobble my music, get charts, get recommendations and maybe find other people with similar music taste. And for me, that purpose is still being fulfilled, so I have no reason to complain. I think they should just scale down a bit, go back to their core functions, stop trying to be a radio/streaming/news site.
