Does this bear any resemblance to what was sent? There have been so many major breach dumps w/ information compromised, it's really important to enable 2 Factor Authentication on everything possible. Do NOT pay, they're bs-ing you, but do report the email.

    Use these two services:
    https://haveibeenpwned.com/
    https://haveibeenpwned.com/Passwords

to identify any compromised accounts and make immediate changes + enable 2FA

@colorful人生 Thanks for your reply. I'll compare what I got to what's on that website you sent me:

The email did not contain the phrase "Hey, remember this?" as they know my current password and not any old ones (however I have been using it for a while).
They did seem pretty blackmailing with the whole "you have three days to pay me, which is a good offer compared to all the horrible shit that will happen if I publish everything!", to paraphrase.
    They threatened this:
However, their email was not written with the same format as the one on the website.
Also, my email/password came up on Have I Been Pwned. 😕

So, some of it matches up and some of it doesn't.

Yea, none of the emails are supposed to be the same, which makes them more convincing. They use a bunch of different boilerplates w/ varying information.

Since they came up on haveibeenpwned, start changing your passwords and implement 2FA now. Otherwise, you can pretty much ignore the email, they can't touch your PC.

CAT5 reacted to Bear in 2019 was good year to start getting into rap and hip hop:
Yeah, but if you haven't been into rap before now you seriously need to check out the classics from the 80's and 90's. Straight Outta Compton, The Chronic, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back, Mama Said Knock You Out, Raising Hell and so on. The amount of must-hear hip hop albums from the 80's and 90's are just insane. Very different from modern stuff tho, but it's not unusual to hear some very, very, very clear nods towards the older stuff.

And if you're into the whole Atlanta trap scene and trap music in general then the 90's Memphis scene is a must. "Everyone" from Drake and Migos to ASAP Ferg, Asap Rocky, Cardi B, Rae Sremmurd, Young Buck, Chance the Rapper, 21 Savage, Chief Keef, Trippie Redd, Lil Yachty, Suicideboys, ScHoolboy Q, E-40, Waka Flocka Flame and many, many more have either used some well-known Three 6 Mafia flows/verses or had beats with Three 6 Mafia samples or just remixed some tracks. Which I really like btw, and it's about time Three 6 Mafia and the Memphis scene finally got the recognition it deserves. Which is also why Juicy J pops up everywhere nowadays. Well deserved. Easily my favourite rap scene and many of my favourite 90's hip hop albums were released by Memphis artists.

The whole "Migos flow" which has been incredibly popular these last decade is basically nothing but a (Three 6 Mafia) Lord Infamous flow, which was a flow that got pretty popular in the Memphis scene during the 90's. And Migos quite obviously got it from them. Such a sexy flow too.

CAT5 reacted to colorful人生 in Man I miss the feeling of excitement when a past favorite announced a new release and
I share the same sentiment, but I've come to accept the times have changed. I've had to make do with some of the host-kei trope bands w/ live-limited releases, but there's only been a handful I've stuck with. The exorbitant prices, inconvenience of shipping, and my own shift towards financial sensibility have whittled away my urge to buy, even upload anything. Amidst all the attempts to branch out to international fans, I feel like the visual kei that I was interested in has largely made a sharp inversion back into the shelled-up live scene. Granted, a huge part of the "perceived growth" I was seeing were the fans who made the effort to upload in the first place... but that takes time & resources that many, including myself, aren't willing to expend anymore. So it's a combination of the scene and the fans, prob. 60/40.

On a positive note, the Japanese Indie scene has become increasingly accessible w/ many artists embracing the Spotify platform. You don't have to scrounge for CDs, use Soulseek, or spend hours on Audioleaf to find good artists anymore.

Things come in cycles, and fortunately I'm waiting this one out through a plethora of other genres.

CAT5 got a reaction from spockitty in You can’t say all dubbed anime sucks. Have the damn audacity to LOOK for good anime d
I definitely prefer subs, but there's some good dubs out there. Ghost in the Shell SAC's dub  is one that I actually prefer to the original.

I just think westerners have a different outlook on animation in general than the Japanese do. Like in western culture, the animation world seems dominated by stuff either geared towards children/family or adult/comedy, with very little inbetween. Whereas anime explores a lot of territory that would not safely fit in either extreme.

There's also this tendency in the west to view animation as simply "cartoons", and so ppl generally have different expectations for western animation. And that being the case, I think it's easy for a lot of these companies to skimp on finding good, suitable voice actors because they're usually not approaching these series with the same perspective, or the same level of integrity as the original creators.
