I more or less agree with your sentiments here and probably would have rated it around the same thing. While I can't say that I was into these guys too deeply, their album from earlier this year did manage to leave an impression. I was hoping for some more melodic ventures like 'チャイルドマザー' and 'ひとり桜。', but found myself pretty underwhelmed in that regard. Nothing on here was downright unlistenable, though. The autotuned one sounds like a parody of a leftover Jihen track. The other one sounds pretty nice...kinda like she was trying to revisit to her roots - the ending is especially great.

I am kind of the opposite of Zeus. I've never liked HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR and while I feel indifferent towards this kind of pop music, this style seems to be fitting for her.

The first part of the song had me thinking it might turn out differently, but rest was kind of your standard Gazette fair, which isn't a bad thing. I can dig it.

I've had a love for animation since I was a child, so naturally anime aligns with my interests. I'm not really fond of some of the common anime tropes, but I do appreciate the medium. I don't watch as much as I'd like to, though. As for manga, I read ONE PIECE whenever I remember too, and Berserk too, but the creator releases new material so infrequently that I tend to forget about it.

@Seimeisen - that codomo dragon song is nice! @doombox - This Liraizo song is pretty great. I still need to try that TOWA TEI album, but it sounds promising. Purple Stone sounds nice too and I can see the DIV comparison. Really like the music for Does It Escape Again, but the vocal style isn't quite my thing. @fitear1590 - this UNiTE. song sounds like a J-indie-pop/rock song with vk vocals, ahaha. PELICAN FANCLUB reminds me of western indie, which is cool. Seems to be more and more Japanese bands getting into this kind of sound lately. Minami Kitasono sounds great too. Very retro, but also very animated and imaginative. @beni - Galileo Galilei song is pretty good, nice pick! I didn't like that 東京カランコロン song when I first heard it, and I kinda hate that they've basically become an all-around time jpop band, but after hearing it so many times watching 'shokugeki no soma', it's difficult not to like. Shame they didn't keep that as the ED...that oomori seiko track is irredeemable tho Whether it's a sample or simply replayed (sounds like it could be), the riff is basically played in the same manner and used in the same way for both songs, with no real attempt to alter or enhance it. Granted, the rest of the song is different enough that's it doesn't really matter. As for toe, it's good and a bit different for them, but I'd sooner recommend their first two albums.

How was the festival for everyone? I wasn't really into the skins/accents that much, but I got a few that I could sell later on. I also racked up on lightning lancers, haha. The RNG seemed to be unusually kind to me, though as I've scored a few familiars and got a non-fest skin as well. So I'm content with that ;3

Great review, but I couldn't get into this album at all. Itsuka is still great, but I felt like the production here really held them back, as it wasn't as quirky as some of the previous stuff. Despite the production, it seems like their actual sound is still intact, though.

Indeed. I can't wait for this. I definitely need to get around to buying all of their albums as well, as I only own one atm. Their album art is always a+, and these guys have not disappointed yet, musically.

bah, I don't take pics very often, but here's one of my brothers and I a little over a month ago. (father's day iirc) (younger bro on the left, older bro in the middle, me on the right)

They had two full-lengths, 'matin brun' and '#7'. I thought the former was fantastic and showed a lot of promise and maturity, but the latter seemed like they scraped together some throwaway tracks as a last ditch offering before they bid us farewell. Shame they're no longer around. I could imagine them and THE NOVEMBERS doing quite well together.

Thanks, trombe. It's definitely better than WHWH so far, but TK's songwriting has become so factory-line. I still enjoy it, though. haha.
