I added a bunch of artists to my library that did not have any scrobbles yet that served as "I gotta check this stuff out sometime" so that I can come back to the last 3 pages of my library and check out what I... still have to check out. Very handy I used it all the time!

I also rarely complain about site updates, like there are more important things, but lulz this Last FM update is really bad. Did they even try to get it right? Half my profile looks broken.   It's amazing how they can do this, but still haven't made any effort to fix all the broken pages that no longer scrobble properly, leading to a bunch of new pages as people try to get around it. smh

Once again I came across some old Dir en Grey PV and thought I'd give them a milliont chance to prove me wrong, but no, sorry, they're one of the most overrated VK bands ever. The only really good songs that has come from that band is The Final, Increase Blue and Chain repulsion.

Same with X Japan, only like Tears and Kurenai, rest is so amazingly boring! Sometimes I almost feel like people just agree to the hype of these 2 bands because you're supposed to if you like VK O_o

I feel like i've posted something similar already, but I'm not going back 26 pages lol. Both bands are stupidly overrated. And I say this as someone who has actually liked most of Diru's disco, but they are still massively overrated and X is just generic hair metal that we already had/have in gobs here.  I'll never forget the time I was on some metal forum and someone suggested X as an example of Japanese metal and the response was, um, sorry dude, that's not metal and frankly it sucks, lmao.

I'll wait for the buttpain.

The main reason I enjoy the Diru-is-overrated trope is because it's so tiresome to see stans whinging on about how x, y and z-band are just "Diru copies".

Hating oshare is rather passé is it not? Just Irokui and early Aicle alone eclipse a healthy portion of the bands around today.

This shuffle started out good, but got kinda boring after that lol.  So my choice for a favorite and runner-up is pretty easy here. Two classic bands anyway.

March had a much shorter list in terms of new releases I heard.  It's easy to pick my favorite album, it's the runners-up that are hard. Hands down, the new Prodigy album was my favorite.  The Fat of the Land made me a fan, but then I lost track of them when they totally took forever to release another album.

Master of Romance and Gangsta for me. The Trend Killer is a mini, but also really good.

This is easy, I've never been able to stand SUG and Vistlip is one of my favorite still-going VK bands. Vistlip will have to take over for Vivid for me in the inoffensive pop-rock VK category lol

I think I got one friend at least partially into Japanese music, mostly big VK bands. I don't really go out of my way to "convert" people lol

I was into kpop for about 3 years and then I was really just....very over it.

All the drama and the stupid 12 year olds parading around talking about how 'Oppa' is theirs and no one elses etc.

 

But, for the most part I liked girl groups like Girl's Day, Fiestar, SISTAR, and so on.

after a while I got more into indie bands and k-rock.

Love Korean rock (and underground/indie rap). I stay on the extreme far fringes of Kpop for this exact reason among others lol.
