  1. Necro'ing, oops. :x

    Present:

    Tora (Sel'm, Stereo CK)

    Kon (Cell, La'Mule)

Kaito (Guy's Family, Shulla, AUBE) (but I think AUBE broke up so Idk if he belongs here lol)

    Riku (Lin, Chariots)

    Ice (BFN)

    Past:

Hizumi (this makes me really sad to put him here)

    Klaha

    Juri (DELUHI)

    Wataru (12012)

    Yuu (Zodia)

Also Yuina from Lamiel can replace any of those who are active and I don't know about it lol.

I assumed based on everyone else's post that it meant favorite VK vocalists lol.

  2. The weird thing is that my desktop scrobbler shows the previously correct amount of artists, but both profiles show the same amount of scrobbles and the scrobbler isn't updating with the new artists I've added so Idk.

  3. There is a topic on the "support" pages asking for the return of the "add to my library" button and restoring the old libraries. The staff did not leave a message but simply tagged the topic with NOT PLANNED

    https://getsatisfaction.com/lastfm/topics/respect-the-add-to-my-library-button-and-restore-in-some-way-our-old-library

FUCK these fuckers. This is like a movie or tv-shows related website where you can maintain a watchlist and your list suddenly disappears because someone with the brain capacity of some plankton said "ah well, fuck it *presses delete*".

Same thing they did with the customizable user sidebar. To have the nerve to nerf it and replace it with a plain text Twitter-length message of 200 chars maximum is fucking absurd. I hope they get a lot more bad press for this.

I'm keeping it for a few days until I have made up my mind on using either RateYourMusic or Discogs as replacement because in my enthusiasm for RYM I almost forgot Discogs exists too and that may be more convenient for me personally. The thing is there is no definite alternative for last.fm (libre.fm doesn't look too good) so one will have to settle for something that's going to be different... just the question is, which one

Anyhow I'm definitely not staying at disaster.fm

I'm not too hopeful that they'll bring back the "add to my library" and I think maybe that's where the "not planned" thing is on, as noted by a commenter.  I'm trying to be optimistic that they'll at least restore the data of people's libraries though. =/

Right now I'm super irritated at albums that I KNOW had cover art before this stupid release, but are now empty and we can't modify them. :<

  4. Oh ok, I was thinking about the broken unicode pages, not the fact that users have been using it to escape multiple artist pages, which yeah, I've been on it since 2006 and that was definitely a thing since then.

  5. Change that to like 5 years and the unicode bullshit comes to mind, just thinking about it gives me headache.

Has the unicode bullshit really been going on for five years? Ugh and I thought two years was ridiculous enough.

  6. I think they just need to admit that the update was a bad move and go back to last update lol. The new update will make them lost a lot of accounts/subscribers.

somehow I see them continuing to be stubborn jerks about it, just like they refused to do anything about the other problems users have been complaining about for two years or so. i saw some of the replies on their Twitter account and they're basically saying it will take weeks and months to finish the site and get all the "features" up or back up. =/

  7. AH yess, I just discovered they deleted about 100 of my artists and they weren't all just zero-plays because I didn't have that many. =/////

  8. The part that baffles me the most, besides the fact that it sucks, is that they released it with NO FUNCTIONALITY.  Like, what even is that. WHY.

  9. Also, thank you to @Lestat for taking your time to sign in and post feedback and complaints from this topic on their forums.

I bet they'd get much more feedback if they didn't require people to log into other sites to post comments on last.fm support forums... seriously what is the big idea behind this? Why wouldn't a last.fm profile be enough?

Tbh they probably do want to make it harder for people to complain

  10. Journals are still available if you use the link www.last.fm/user/yourusername/journal

If you get an error, refresh

On the forum they said they'd bring the feature back

Oh whew it came up. Saving immediately argh.

  11. The good thing lastfm had (and still somewhat has): it's a really great database of bands no one knows about. That's what I used it for mostly. But considering that the futire of the site now looks really dark… I wonder where I can continue to search for new and unheard bands (especially old visual kei groups)

Same. I found so much music via that site, through similar artists mostly.

  12. I keep finding new and horrible things....like it sounds like the journals may have been permanently deleted. There goes my huge list of new releases this year, both upcoming and what I've heard so far.  If I'd had any idea, I would have at least back those up...not to mention the artists with 0 plays that were my to-listen list.
