Na real, não importa se vão descobrir ele ou não... o motivo de ele ser banido foi fazer o que fez, não por ele ser quem é. Se "outra pessoa" fizer essas coisas, naturalmente vão levar o combinho warn+ban, ou logo um ban direto por causa da possibilidade quase óbvia de ser ele. Mas né, essa coisa toda é bem pointless mesmo... é só um fórum, gente. E isso parte de alguém que leva essas coisas mais a sério do que deveria. Mas de qualquer forma, membros absolutamente não deviam ter o poder de mudar coisas assim. Não faz sentido. Quando minha vida voltar ao rítimo normal, vou tentar dar uma ajudada nas news também! I'm so down with this!

Ah well... disbandments always suck, no matter the reasons, but I guess it's not up to us to decide if they should disband or not, when we don't know what made it come to this... that said, I thought the way he wrote it was brilliant. Well done. Also, thanks for all you've done until now, though I did ask myself if you were a news bot... it was impressive lol. I've been back here for a short while, but I guess I can say it's the end of an era. We should try to fill the void by taking care of the news section ourselves too. : )
After reading some other posts, I kinda get what could've brought everything to this. I think. Kinda. I'm also an admin/mod on other forums so I know how complicated things can get at times, no matter how patient we'd try to be. And the tension between members can get pretty high. That's never a good thing. Also, the staff usually works as a whole and not even people from the staff are free to break rules. But anyway, it's okay if things have to come to an end, everything does someday, so I just hope you had a great time here!

I'm from the Tainted World times, but I haven't been around much ever since we became Toasted Waffles (lol) and then MH. People used to call me Hako, but you can call me whatever you want. I was really active for some time and then disappeared, so I guess no one remembers me lol. It was a long time ago. I EVEN LOST MY USERNAME'S BEAUTIFUL COLOR </3
 
Anyway. I stopped coming here due to life situations and then I kinda lost interest in VK bands, even the ones I used to follow, since some became really bad and some have disbanded. I rarely listen to any VK nowdays, but I'll listen to anything if I find it good, VK or no VK. I've been thinking that I maybe should try participating again, even if only to talk about artists that do interest me, since not everything is about VK in MH. Riiiight?
I mostly listen to japanese music, some korean indie, some music from other asian countries and some western stuff. I'm really bad at introductions and listing the artists I like. So please  just check this: http://www.last.fm/user/mimakinomoto

Or I know this may be extensive. But why not designate all of Sunday to be dub  day. It starts when it becomes Sunday where ever starts the next day first and ends when the last time zone hits Monday D: then people can freely join and leave all day. I mean I know that takes a little away from a scheduled time but I feel like if it's open maybe it'll encourage people to check in and see what's going on as well. ???? Maaaaaaaybe? I could certainly work with something like that myself 

eu concordo com o post to Yuyo e acho que esse é o "core" to problema. o difícil tá sendo fazer o pessoal entender que o staff vem tentando resolver esse problema faz um bom tempo e o cara simplesmente não cooperava. não houve comunicação. ele só se manifestava pra reclamar dos posts que ninguém dava bola (ainda lembro daquele status dele "vocês só ligam pras bandas depois que elas terminam". ele nunca esteve preocupado com a gente se importar com as bandas ou não, ele estava preocupado com o número de respostas que os posts dele tinham...como o emmny falou lá no tópico...falsa demonstração de altruismo)
 
e os spams dele nunca teriam sido um problema, ele nunca teria sido banido, ele nunca teria acabado nessa situação se não estivesse usando "métodos" pra monopolizar a news section. o que incluia apagar posts de outras pessoas(pois ele tinha privilégios de news broadcaster na news section)
uma vez fiz um tópico de notícias do plasticzooms. de repente apareceu um sobre a mesma notícia 5 minutos antes do meu que eu juro que não tava ali antes. as pessoas comentaram no meu tópico, não no dele. ele viu que não ia rolar e eventualmente deletou a thread. não fez nada contra mim mas desde aquela vez achei que tinha algo errado.
 
é óbvio que o número de notícias diariamente vai diminuir. e muito. mas sinceramente não tenho praciência pra passar por 20 threads de 1 night sessions de caras que já se aposentaram até achar anúncio de release etc. (<- exagerei aí mas vcs entenderam o espírito) mas acho que se todo mundo postasse news das bandas que a gente gosta isso já ajudaria pacas.

Eu tô sempre no twitter/last.fm também :'D principalmente twitter.
A maioria do pessoal eu fiquei próxima através do fórum mesmo... e quando a shoutbox fazia parte do layout. Se não me engano. Eu não tinha twitter na época que parei de visitar, mas ainda mantive contato de alguns através de e-mail, facebook (ugh), messengers ou... livejournal :v Mas todos pararam de usar livejournal, inclusive eu mesma. D:
Acho que a maneira mais legal de eu conhecer e conversar com as pessoas agora são as sessões dubtrack aos domingos, tem sido bem divertido conversar e trocar músicas lá.

É, eu tô desde o TW também e acho que o fórum no geral tá melhor, sim. O que sinto falta é dos amigos :~
Por mais que mais gente venha e que sejam também pessoas legais, pessoas não são substituíveis. Mas é como você disse, isso é natural em qualquer fórum e aqui não vai ser diferente. Eu tive bons momentos aqui, então iquei feliz em ver que continua ativo! (e pra ser sincera, tô feliz em ver que alguns saíram também :v)

Ele teria que mudar a forma de noticiar as coisas. Melhor seria um twitter mesmo, uma conta no estilo "news bot" seria perfeito e ele conseguiria um número bem gigante de seguidores assim.

Acho que é porque tinha mais gente e o pessoal no geral era mais amigo, embora houvessem "grupinhos". Acho que o hell broke loose mesmo quando teve aquela confusão com o Spike760 (antigo admin) e... Bom, meio que deu merda. Das grandes. lol. Se o TW/MH não morreu depois daquilo, difícil morrer agora por algo tão banal como news... XD
É, eu sinto falta do tipo de conversa descompromissada que se tinha com o pessoal das antigas, mas eu sei que o que eu preciso é conhecer melhor e me acostumar com as pessoas novas daqui, e isso leva algum tempo. Por enquanto eu leio muito mais do que escrevo, haha. A atmosfera do fórum mudou muito, em alguns pontos ela tá melhor, em outros eu preferia a anterior. Essas coisas que você citou já existiam antes também, mesmo que em menor escala, mas admito que colocar official reviewers foi uma ideia genial! Aqui nunca foi um Batsu da vida, pelo menos... aquele lugar era um campo de guerra, um inferninho. XD

Meh, embora seja um grande número que está aqui pelos downloads, nem todo mundo é assim tbh. Eu concordo que a seção de news ser ativa DIARIAMENTE era um big deal, e é bem capaz que isso mude daqui pra frente porque não vai ter gente tão dedicada, mas sinceramente...? Ele de fato parecia um robô. lol. As notícias eram tão superficiais e frias, sem nenhuma opinião por cima... Acabava quase como um spam, pois algumas ficavam para trás sem que muitos pudessem ver. Isso é ruim? Pode ser ruim sim, mas também era bom ter tanta notícia nova. Mas... dizer que ele se "sacrificava" pelo fórum, como alguns estão falando, e que não recebeu a "gratidão" do staff em retorno... Eu não concordo. Bem, a decisão foi dele, fóruns não são fansites, o que significa que qualquer pessoa pode (e deve) postar notícias. Se ele resolveu postar, ótimo, valeu, mas não deixa a pessoa isenta de nada. Principalmente de cumprir as regras. Nem o próprio staff pode passar por cima das regras. Mas por exemplo, eu não gosto muito de postar notícias que não são relevantes para mim ou que eu não acho que seriam muito relevantes para ninguém daquele fórum, mas isso é uma escolha pessoal minha. O lado ruim de ele sair é o MH perder a frequência frenética de posts diários no fórum de news; O lado bom é que talvez, só talvez, isso vá incentivar outras pessoas a procurarem notícias e postarem lá também. Eu mesma já pensei em postar coisas lá e vi "ah, o Trombe já postou, beleza, vou só comentar então" mas ficar irritada com isso seria meio idiota. ^^;
 
O pessoal daqui não é o mesmo das antigas, não. Mudou coisa pra caramba desde a época que eu costumava ser ativa aqui... e sem querer ser chata nem nada, mas o pessoal de antes era muito mais legal :x
Mas fórum é assim, sempre vai mudando com o tempo, uns ficam, outros saem, novos chegam, e vai seguindo assim. Enquanto ainda tiver gente vindo e postando no fórum, ele continua vivo. Não é o staff ou uma pessoa que faz um fórum, mas sim os membros que visitam, comentam, postam, discutem. Acho que o que me chamou de volta pra cá é que o fórum está mais aberto para outras coisas não-VK, visto que antigamente era quase que exclusivamente VK. Eu não tô aqui pelos downloads, pelo menos... mas também não tô aqui pelos posts de news. Estou aqui por toda a discussão (conversa, troca de ideias) que é possível em um fórum, seja em tópicos de news, reviews, ou whatever.
Mas enfim, eu acredito que o staff deve ter tido bons motivos para tomar essa decisão de ban temporário e que ele teve seus bons motivos pra sair. Pelo tempo que conheço o staff daqui, eles não costumam ficar irritados por qualquer coisa. Se havia tensão, acho melhor assim. E eu bem sei como é difícil ser staff de fórum, são tantas coisas que os membros não sabem, tantas confusões por "debaixo dos panos" que vocês nem imaginam...

To just add to the points above - many of the people who have TRIED to contribute news have been constantly antagonized and oppressed by trombe's actions. @Traxanis NOT the only one to have experienced this. What most of you guys DON'T see are the endless complaints about trombe that the staff receives from other members about how their own contributions are being impeded upon. Other great contributors like YNS and numetal were mentioned - the difference is that they don't actively try to prevent other people from contributing as well. They do their part for the community and allow others to do the same. No one has EVER been against trombe posting news. Hell, he's free to post as much news as he wants as often as he wants, but there's no need to step on other people's toes.
 
And to even assume that the staff did not value trombe's contributions is absurd. trombe has been problematic for years now and the staff have tried their hardest to work with, honor, and appease trombe because his contributions were so meaningful. But what do you do when you give someone a special rank, color, and their own special set of permissions - when you give them the power to contribute more efficiently and they just abuse that power? What do you do when you're a staff member trying to address a problem and your efforts to communicate and work out said problem are blatantly ignored? What do you do with a user who is constantly praised and literally the member with the most likes on the entire forum BY FAR, yet this member bitches and moans when a few threads (out of hundreds posted every week) don't get any replies (despite plenty of page views)?
 
The staff have literally bent over backwards for trombe. If It was up to me, I would have perma-banned his ass ages ago - because I wouldn't want to keep dealing with his constant bullshit, his shitty attitude, and his inability to actually talk shit out and reason. Fuck that, he can kick rocks. Dude was fuckin' temp-banned for a week. A MOTHERFUCKING WEEK. Bruh...And yall think the mods don't value this guy? No one in their right minds would continue to put up with this nonsense if they didn't actually give a shit.
 
I mean, I get it. I understand that emotions are high and people are upset about losing a contributor as outstanding as trombe, but at the end of the day, It should also be understood that trombe is leaving of his own accord - not because of the staff, or "trolls", or some ridiculous behind-the-scenes plot. So again, I say good. You should leave if you're not willing to cooperate and be a part of this community.

Other people are perfectly capable and willing to post news. I imagine the reason very few people tried to before (myself included, though I did make a few attempts) is because they felt intimidated by the fact that Trombe had such a monopoly on the news section and there was no point in trying to post news yourself, even if you managed to post it before Trombe, because some ghost thread would show up five minutes later anyway. It's not as if we're all a bunch of helpless babies that can't do anything on our own. Trombe was impressive because s/he managed to do most of this single-handedly, and it was certainly appreciated, but there is no reason why a single person has to keep doing it. You can sit around whining in this thread all day, or you can think about contributing in some small part to help keep things just as active as they ever were.

To all the people complaining that now "there won't be any news anymore" let me tell you this as a person who's written for newswebsites for years: when you see one person do 95% of the stuff, you're easily demotivated to even go and try to see if whatever news you've bumped into is already there or not. So people who want to help but aren't as quick will either see that person as an easy way out, "they'll do it, I guess. Maybe already did", or will just start believing they're simply "not good enough" to bother posting anything at all.  With such a person not around anymore, people will be more inclined to actually post a thing when they come across it. The "next gen" MH news people will show up by themselves for sure.
 
That said, Trombe did lots of work through these years, and all of it was because they felt like it. While they might not have made the best decisions concerning issues and MH as a team, the work itself can't be ignored. But doing lots of work (essentially no one's asking you to do) doesn't equal being able to do whatever the fuck you want to. Rules are rules. And they are there for every single one of us.
