  1. Xbox One Is dead.

PS4 - no internet connection needed to play, can share games and play used games. Plus $100 cheaper than Xbox One.

That being said, super excited for Mirror's Edge 2, Ryse, and Sunset Overdrive. Hopefully will come to Xbox 360 and not just Xbox One.

  2. ^ Well that pretty much does it for me, I'm not buying the Xbox one. I'm at least glad publishers will be releasing some next gen games for xbox 360 and ps3, so I'll be to play some games I've been looking forward too like Mirror's Edge 2.

  3. Been jamming the new record and I love the new electronic side. It's not Short Bus 2, like Patrick claimed, but it's a good follow up to Trouble With Angels. New Filter and new Nine Inch Nails in the same week officially made my June.

Filter - Watch The Sun Come Out Tonight

  4. ^ I bought the album the first day it came out and I've been listening to it non stop since then. It's another masterpiece for the band. Definitely a contender for album of the year. Plus the album topped a lot of charts in different countries which is always good news for the band. I'm seeing them live in a week and now I'm super exited to hear them play the new material.

  5. ^ I'm sure there are people who will still buy the Xbox One despite all the horrible restrictions it comes with, however I don't think it will be enough to save the console or that Microsoft will succeeded in convincing enough people to purchase it. It just sucks so much. I know I don't plan on buying it. And if the PS4 implements a similar format, the requiring an internet connection and paying fees to unlock used games then I'm not getting that either. Those are giant middle fingers to consumers and gamers and although I don't really play a lot of games or buy used games for that matter, I'm bothered by the fact that a corporation would seek to take control of my freedoms as a consumer. I'm sure there are other people who feel the same and won't buy any console that uses such a format as a form of protest.

  6. Yeah the title is pretty cool. And I've been listening to it and it's pretty hefty. Over an hour long in duration, but the guys still have it. Lots of cool riffs from Jerry and lots of dark alternative metal. The longer songs are quite epic(Phantom Limb) and Pretty Done sounds like it could be from the 90's version of the band. Album is bad ass all around and I'm glad it's not as over produced like Black Gives Way To Blue was.

I had to make a thread for this. I own an Xbox 360 and I was curious to see what Microsoft would offer as it's next gen console. Like most people I'm hugely disappointed with the recent unveiling of the Xbox one. There are so many problems with it.  It's everything gamers don't want in a game console. A mandatory required internet connection to play games.(no offline gaming) The fact that you need to pay a fee to unlock used games, the fact that the kinnect needs to be connected to the console in order for it to work. And the name of course is pretty stupid and uninspired. I'm not a fan of it's design either. I don't mind that it has no backwards compatibility since this has to do with the new upgraded specs it will use along with the PS4 in order to play next gen games, but I've never seen a company mess up so bad before. Enough to have it stocks go down and then have stocks for its main competitor (Sony) go up. I might go back to a PlayStation after this.

Ghost in the Shell: Arise is a film series that serves as a reimagining of Masamune Shirow's Ghost in the Shell. The films, a four-part series, feature new character designs and is directed by Kazuchika Kise, screenplay by Tow Ubukata, and music by Cornelius. The first of the films (referred to as "Borders") in the series, subtitled Ghost Pain, is scheduled for limited cinematic release in Japan on June 22, 2013.

I'm curious to see how these films will turn out. From the looks of things, they gave back some of the grittier animation of the 90's original film. All the voice actors have been replaced in the Japanese version, but I wonder if they'll stick to the same voice cast in the English version. And I would have loved to have Yoko Kanno do the music again. At the very least I hope this lives up to the standard the TV series has.

  9. No. The only time I buy online is when I can't get a physical release. And since I only buy albums, and only material from my favorite bands, it's never more than 1 Cd. Unless there's another release in that same time period, so at the most it's 2.

  10. New music video for Swerve City came out.

    Also

DEFTONES frontman Chino Moreno says that it is now more likely than ever before that the band's shelved 2008 album "Eros" will see the light of day.

Don't know if this has to do with Chi's passing, but I guess Eros will come out in the not so distant future now. It was the last album Chi worked on so it seems appropriate they would release it as a sort of tribute.

  11.

So this was my first time listening to this band, and I’m going to agree with what has already been said about the album. The strongest points are in its tight sound production and in the heavier aspects of the music like the breakdowns. And for me, the weakest link of this release isn’t that the songs sounds too similar, but that there aren’t memorable melodies or choruses. And the clean vocals simply didn’t hit home with what melodic aspects were there. The songs themselves aren’t bad, most of them just don’t stand out or get stuck in your head.

It’s an okay release. I think it’s one of those album were you forget about most of the tracks except for the few that stood out.

  12. Cool I'll be checking this out when it comes out. And Toxic and Division were just okay. They had some good/semi decent songs but they lacked anything special and were weak as albums. And I really hope they either ditch the electronic influence or really improve on it, because the electro-rock stuff on Division was horribly done. There are crappier bands then the gazette that do the electronic thing better then they do.
