  1. I finally finished Ender's Shadow by Orson Scott Card which is a parallel story to Ender's Game. Great book taken from another perspective and incredible writing on human condition. I found Bean to be more likable than Ender. Now I'm ready for this movie that'll be out on Nov. 1.

  2. Anyone into trance music? It's one of my all time favorite genres when it comes to the electronic category. Hope there are other listeners here besides me.

For those who aren't familiar with it...

Trance is a style of electronic dance music that developed in the 1980s. Trance music is generally characterized by a tempo of between 130 and 160 BPM, featuring repeating melodic synthesizer phrases, and a musical form that builds up and down throughout a track. It often features crescendos and breakdowns. Sometimes vocals are also utilized. The style is arguably derived from a combination of largely electronic music such as ambient music, techno, and house.

I usually consider it to be a "feel good" type of music or atmospheric. Here are a few songs I listen to:

  3. A nice selection of bands I know. D song is the one I can remember on top of my head.

    1. Hiroyuki Sawano · UNICORN
    2. Ayane · cloudier sky
    3. SIAM SHADE · Ookina Konoshita de
    4. TRIBAL CHAIR · Lost Key
    5. Hikita Kaori · Egao no Wake
    6. SURFACE · Yume no Tsuzuki e
    7. TRIBAL CHAIR · Transparent Imagination
    8. D'espairsRay · PIG
    9. Morphadron · The Moebus
    10. Dir en grey · audrey

Well I'm gonna have to go with Siam Shade's Ookina Konoshita de since that's the one song is the most I'll replay most outta that entire list.

Soon I'll be upgrading the video card and buy a radiator cpu cooling. I was able to overclock my cpu to 4.2ghz just by using stock heatsink but for the sake of stability, went back to stock settings.

  5. Ah you didn't like Dog x Scissors? At least it was funny, I myself couldn't stop laughing half the time while I was watching it. Also how can you even compare this to SAO? Totally different genres with almost nothing in common content wise bro...

I went into the show expecting to be stupid lulz entertainment while having a somewhat legit plot, but it had the most annoying cast of characters (like that masochist editor) and just a big WTF plot. First few eps had a story arc going then it went into random cliched anime scenarios with the same pervy gags running in the background. Who in their right minds would want to have sex with a dog? Ugh. I'll be honest, based on the trailer I saw, the show looked promising. By the time I saw the last ep, I was so filled with disgust that it almost killed anime for me completely. Don't ask me why I didn't drop it cuz I have no idea why I didn't do so myself.

Why I compare this to SAO? Because that's also a straight up bad anime like Dog & Scissors. Yes they're polar opposites of genre/content but in this case, it's substance/quality I'm comparing.

  6. Danganronpa - The stereotypes and predictability are strong in this one.

Dog & Scissors - So glad this shits over. Most retarded anime I've seen to the point it makes SAO look good. I almost vomited, literally.

Majestic Prince - Classic mecha fun though there are a few eps that can get really grating.

High School DxD New - For all my fanservice needs but for some reason, this season ain't doing well for me.

The World God Only Knows: Goddesses - Entertaining as always.

Attack on Titan - Typical shonen, wish the writing was better, but great soundtrack! Expect no less from Hiroyuki Sawano.

Blood Lad - Best show this season despite of its inconclusive ending.

  7. It didn't give me much of an impression at first but the more I listen to THE ONE-crash to create-, the more I like it.

Lost World is great on their latest single.
