Awesome. Hope they keep putting out good stuff! Their last mini was superb.

^ yeah, you have to be online at the same time and turn the Wi-Fi on.

Anyone else has tried this yet? I tried it last night to see if it really worked and ended up getting three shiny Pokémon in slightly over an hour (two Relicanth and one Corsola). I got really lucky getting them so fast (less than 30 tries overall I think), although getting two Relicanths isn't all that exciting. lol

Sounds good. Since adding people seems like an even more important part of the game now with Friend Safari and everything, I see no problem with it. By the way, I already added everyone who posted their FC here. I'm going by Rast.

Exp. Share is crazy. I just beat the 4th gym and all my 6 main pokémon are 40+. There's barely need for Lucky Egg anymore. lol (Well, only post-game, of course.) Tried to see if I could get a Sylveon by working on Poké-Amie and I did! Luckily my Eevee was Modest as well to make things better. Will breed for a better one later in the game. Also the "Head It" game is addictive as hell. /end of rant

Finally got my copyyyyyyyyyy. Started with Froakie and already got an Adamant Fletchling in my first try. I'm playing X in case anyone needs anything from it (except, of course, the mega stones lol). I'm still in Lumiose, so it might be a while until I get something truly interesting.
  7. I really like both and listen to them pretty regularly, but my vote goes to cinema staff. I've been following them for longer and their stuff resonates with me much more. It's also important to mention that they have something unbelievably good in form of the 水平線は夜動く single in their disco, which makes my choice much easier. Arukara, for me, is one of those bands I enjoy listening the hell out of, but never give enough attention to truly dive into their discography. But hey, BOY NEXT DOOR is still one of my favorite albums.

^ EVs and IVs are mostly things for competitive playing. IVs are like genes predetermined by the game and each Pokémon gets a different combination ranging from 0 to 31. For example, when a Pokémon has 0 IVs in Attack, this stat is diminished by 31 points. These can't be controlled like EVs, but they can be passed from parents to eggs by breeding using some items. It's a pretty long and hard process to try to get the stats you like with full 31 IVs, but I'm so used to it and BW2 has made it so much easier (well, slightly easier to be honest lol) that I actually think sometimes it's fun. And it's kind of rewarding having your Pokémon with the best stats it could have. EVs, on the other hand, are a much easier thing to control. They're like a boost you can give to certain stats of a Pokémon. You can give 512 EV points to a Pokémon total and you can divide them as you'd like, with each stat having the chance to add up 252 EV points total (which means a boost of 63 points in that same stat). Up until BW2, EVs were controlled by giving vitamins (protein, iron, etc), battling random Pokémon and doing some calculating. I'm not so sure now how it works in XY, but it doesn't take too long as most people tend to say. This is a pretty basic explanation, but you can always read about it on Serebii or Smogon. That's where I learnt all of this (and I didn't even get into this part of the game until like close to BW2's release date).

There's a rumor (not sure if it's more of a rumor or simply speculation) going on saying that it's possible the shiny encounter rate has been significantly decreased, as many (seriously, many) people have been finding shinies since the release of the games. I know a friend who's already got two in less than two days. I hope I get lucky and find others to increase my very little collection. (By the way, shiny Gulpin/Swalot are awesome).

What about IVs, though? Unless you don't care about them. I mostly breed to get good stats on IVs since passing natures was made pretty easy with BW2. By the way, I'm still (desperately) waiting for my copy of Pokémon X to arrive, but everyone's welcome to add me if they'd like. My FC is 2036-7399-7693.

    get those gigs, MYV.

Getting X. I still have to wait a few days for my copy to arrive though.

It actually sounds good until it hits the chorus. The full thing may actually be nice.

Just finished maratoning everything. It was absolutely perfect. That was the best marketing for X/Y and Mega Evolutions they could've done. Holy shit.

Hmm, not too fond of it. It's not exactly bad and I wasn't expecting much since it's being used in a drama and everything, but easily my least favorite a-side so far (and I really liked both TEOTD and Thoughts). Repeating the chorus 3 times before the song hits the 2-minute mark is a big no. Nice work by SUGIZO and Shinya though.

Do you have links for these in HQ? I still can't find anything.

The Kings of Summer Very nice/fun film. Didn't even matter that it was totally predictable.

I think Kakera is better. But Gokusaishiki is right behind it for me.

I highly recommend both. Dolly never did much for me, but DOPPEL's mini was a very good surprise. NoGoD has been consistent since they started. Despite what most people say, most of their major work album-wise is on the same level as their indie work. I'd recommend starting with both Ten and Batsu singles (which include great re-recording of some of their best songs), then moving on to Mugenkyou, Rashinban and Kakera.

Ohhh look, a song with a Japanese title! Can't wait for this! Hopefully an album will follow next year.
  22. Their last album was disappointing as fuck, but their lives are always fun to watch. Might grab this when it's uploaded somewhere.
  23. saishuu

The song sounds really nice! I heard some RES vibes as well. Hopefully the full mini-album is as good as this.

^ completely OT but damn at Tommy Defendi in your pic (that's him, right?)

I don't know the ratings for the original anime (must be relatively good anyway since it's still on air) to say anything about the Pokémon anime's target audience, but I agree that they need to have some sort of animation for an older fanbase. The promotional video for BW2 was indeed incredible and this "style" would be great for a parallel anime. And I hope they release another one for XY - the hype it created for the BW2 games was insane.
