This. I couldn't stand ayabie with Ryohei, he was just so excruciatingly bad. Once Yumehito joined they actually got significantly better and had some pretty cool songs, but it was all ruined again when they went major.Anyway, I hope the new band is good, those guys actually have some talent.
  7. I have no idea who they are, but props to him for performing in such a deteriorating shape like this. Hope he's able to recover somehow.

Oh, this post I approve. ????? (Kiyokiba Shunsuke) Left EXILE in 2005 at their peak to pursue a solo career. He doesn't have the most original sound I've ever heard - I'll say that - but I absolutely love the way he mixes pop, rock and soul and he also has a really great voice. It's not everyday you see a rock singer with a badass saxophonist and keyboardist as main instrumentists of their support band out there these days. He's also charismatic as hell and puts on great concerts, literally for people of all ages (he even lets kids take part in the singalong of one his songs, "Utai hito", sometimes). Also I kind of admire him for always keeping his background history as a part of his current career. He promotes a bunch of different stuff (like personal exhibitions, a clothing line and even a fishing brand) and supports artists who have played with him in tunnels, streets and such in the past by inviting them to take part in his concerts, compositions and also by having two of them in a label of his own. To sum it all up: the man is awesome.
  13. lol at the "Che Guevara Style" in the "Sounds like" section of his MySpace. Anyway, I actually really like his voice - it was pretty much what got me interested in BABYLON first back in 2004 - so I'll definitely give the songs a listen asap.

Funny how it seems that the only reason the OP created this post was to fight back at anyone who says shit about Dir en grey. Even funnier is how he's already be doing this for quite a while. Keep it classy. People are not emotionless creatures. Music brings out emotion in people. If they ever feel the urge to scream for a certain artist/band or ask for their autographs to have a reminder of a good time in their life (a concert, for example), that's completely okay. This exchange of feelings (or do you think band members don't think it's cool to have people screaming at them AND appreaciting their work while doing so?) is one the coolest things about music and being able to ever see them live. I truly believe music allows people to be (reasonably, of course) extreme sometimes. I also believe that it's completely right to burst out any kind of feeling you have while listening to something that you like or that moves you in some way. If you think the only purpose of music is to appreaciate it like a fucking cold machine - which you seem to do considering your last posts-, then I honestly couldn't feel sorry enough. Now please excuse me.

  16. I'd probably be listening to your usual mainstream pop/rock, like Matchbox Twenty, The Fray, Paramore, Keane and James Morrison - things I still love and listen to -, as well as pop, hip-hop and R&B (all the so-called "divas" included). I also had a "metal phase" when I was teenager, but that didn't long until I discovered Japanese music and honestly, there were only a few things out of it that I could truly enjoy, so it's most likely I'd be done with it too.

In case anyone's interested, apparently their upcoming concert at Nagoya BOTTOM LINE won't be cancelled after all and Hitomi and Soan will be performing as Moran with SIZNA and Shingo (both ex-Sugar) as guests/support members. Source is Soan's blog: http://ameblo.jp/moran-soan/ Pretty amazing line-up if you ask me. It's gonna be a hell of an emotional live.

Didn't that guy from Gakidou or whatever the band name is die earlier this year? It caused a pretty big commotion too somehow.
  24. saishuu

Damn, he was a really good bassist. And probably the second best thing about Moran. R.I.P.

Got a call from a college teacher asking me personally to join one of her research projects. Nothing better than being noticed/recognized by a teacher for something like this when you've basically just entered the university.
