i liked it, did sound a bit fairytale ish

I still remember anticipating this album's release date... over 6 years ago :/. Back when it was going to be a double album and all, but then his label screwed him over, or something. We'll see.... we'll see....
-
I haven't really liked their rebuilds, but maybe that'll change in the context of a full release...
-
this is going to be a fail on all fronts, I have absolutely no faith after 90%+ of it sucking [in my opinion ._.].
-
didn't like last album, but liked shion... so :/
-
in time for a rentrer en soi revival.... right? | unless his music's gotten better, I don't want him anywhere near a solo career, again.
-
mixed feelings, mainly because I don't have much interest in the covers, but at least we get 6 new songs.
-
different genre... I guess that's the joke? in any case, I've liked all their songs that I've heard. and I have a hard time seeing their sound change all that much. then again, it's not like I've been following them, so what do I know. just don't start sucking!
-
there was clearly some faults in his mini, but it wasn't /that/ bad. looking forward~~
-
this is going to be good
-
terrible video as expected, but I rather enjoyed the song... the vocals didn't suck all that much, and the music was reminiscent of visual kei... at least it has decent production on its side...
-
looking forward to new releases I wonder if it'll sound any different?
-
at least the live dvd this time around actually has the songs I care most about. and I'm also conflicted on the whole re-release thing... if I bought it the first time around... because it would feel like a trap, since they're trying to lure you in to buy a second press... oh well.
-
no offense, but some of those titles... though I'll admit to having liked what I heard from bulletproof roulette... I don't know whether I want to want this to be good or not.
-
I suppose it kind of conveys the title of the song... But I found it rather boring, and it didn't help that I didn't think the parts as a whole worked well together...

I am really curious on the general consensus of this release is. I suppose people would say they've become less special without Tora, and since the new vocals growls a fair bit. Personally, I felt that it was *good*, but something felt *off*. There's no real impact/memorable releases from Brilliant Force, but that was kind of expected. Rebirth is an intro. Shine is as you expect if you checked the PV out. Tracks 3 and 4 give off the same feeling. Kanade appears to be a love song. last hill is honestly my favorite track, it's quite touching, though it may be because it reminds me of another song. I suppose Hallucination is kind of reminiscent of Resistance, and physalis has a slow start. STARS takes a minute to get good, while Illegal World as a title track [well, closest to the album title] threw me off. As generic as you can get, but it has its charms, strangely enough. /Makes me want to relisten through their catalogue./Solid, but lacking any standout.

I would have liked a majority of the songs if it weren't for the vocals. Almost every single song had some vocal section that bugged me. Be it the filtered screams, the backing vocals, the verses, the choruses.... there was always something. Also, for some reason, there's something about the song order that throws me off. Not much of a review, just a general complaint, but favorite songs were probably Anemone [though it took a couple listens] and Mechanical beauty, though Eiphilia wasn't too bad.
-
then I probably completely forgot it, though the song isn't completely familiar, so I don't know. in either case, better be good.
-
that parental advisory logo destroys what the two singles have going together. anyways, this should be their first release with ex. meth vocals, right? looking forward to it.
-
I actually kind of agree, though I'd have to say that I preferred 12012 more... Well, I guess it doesn't count much since I'm not a fan of either band though I've tried many times before... *shrugs* [if lucky, I'll find a song or two enjoyable...] Not getting my hopes up.
-
My first thoughts as well :&.
-
I liked it for the most part until the second half...then it felt too forced.
-
wait.... what? I am unable to comprehend this...
-
the first time I ever ordered from brand-x, I didn't have to pay anything [was also my most expensive order of 15k yen +], but almost every purchase after has required me regardless of expenditure. so I tried CDJapan to try to save some money by going airmail I believe?, and ended up having to pay the usual amount because they charged me 2 fees, one for tax, and another for... inspection? I'm not quite sure. 150SEK +. though I haven't ordered anything this year... Sweden sucks :x. should definitely try Yes-Asia or whatever next time around.

ah~~I want.
