    I'm not silly enough to believe that we have anything to do with the complete radio silence on Initial'L. Lycaon was around for a few years and they were known and loved by many. I also believed that they "disbanded" to get away from their label, and Initial'L was simply the continuation of Lycaon. I know they didn't part ways with their label very well as Lycaon, but usually new bands that form from the core of an existing band keep some momentum. This is a notable exception. Are these guys blacklisted by a portion of the industry or something? It doesn't make sense that they've released all this music and I didn't know about anything past their second single until right now.

     

    How depressing a turn of events. I used to love these guys. I still spin early Lycaon on occasion. I like Yuuki's voice when he doesn't force it. I just can't get into a majority of their post-eve stuff.

    Well, I wouldn't know if they're blacklisted or not, but they did definitely change crowds~ All the lives they play these days, they are surrounded by bands so indie they're pretty much undeground, and definitely definitely have nothing to do with vk. It feels like they started from scratch pretty much. 

     

    I did see them in some session bands with vk musicians at the beginning of the year, and some random apprearances of vk guys in their social so I assume they're not industry pariahs? 

     

    MOON LIGHT DOWN had a taste of their past in vk but all the releases that came after that are straight-up electronic pop-rock, so I don't blame people who are here only for the vk/metal stuff, for losing interest.

    LOL I gotta say, the gimmick worked, cause I probably wouldn't have batted an eyelash for another run-of-the-mill new vk band and I am lowkey interested in MOTHER :P

    Yeah but it's so expensive T-T I'll probably cave sooner or later but for now, getting all the music is my priority.

    Yeah, I imagine this song would be nice live, it has great energy ^^ I have no doubts that the songs with electronic postprocessing sound GOOD live, since Yuki clearly can sing, I was just curious about the differences, but since you don't remember, I'll have to wait for a DVD or sth~ 

     

    Also yep, from what I remember, the MV rap part was giving me second-hand embarrassment XDDD

    LOL no I totally get it, I'm the same with the bands I love *cough*SARIGIA*cough*, if I'm lukewarm about a song I listen to it until I like it X'DDD but the rap footage in the MV was pretty cringey imo ^^;;;;

    lol barely any overlap in our top songs haha, I like Na.na.na. also, just not as much as the rest ^^

     

    They were initially released on jp iTunes but they're no longer there (or they're also region locked and I can't see them), so the only other platform I found them on is Ototoy >.>

    thank you, but at this point I own most of them and what I don't have is still available for sale so I'd rather buy them first hand~ What I'm looking for is their digital singles, KINGS AND QUEENS, WAKE UP and Calling. I only saw them on Ototoy and that's region locked and I didn't get around to figuring out how to go around that ^^;

    Why hello! \^^/ I missed the initial (ha!) switch from Lycaon to Initial'L so I think everyone who had sth to say on the matter have already said it and moved on, so now it's just me screaming into the void around here :'D 

     

    I'm still working my way through Lycaon's discography, cause they appreared right as I left the fandom and I only caught RED RUM the previous time around. I can't pretend I'm not a bit sad to see the heavy stuff left in the past, but I love Initial'L nonetheless and I'm looking forward to seeing them develop this new sound ^^ 

     

    Currently trying to find a way to acquire their first digital singles somehow~

    Thanks, that's where I'll start when I finally get around to listening to them ;) Thing is, I didn't really like harsh vocals and general screeching until very recently so that's probably what's holding me back~

    Ahh I have in fact become a kpop fan in the meantime, but now I've come full circle back to vk and I'm currently liking both so~ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Funny thing, I don't think I've even heard any of their songs pre-Unleash (keep meaning to, just too much music to check out), so I've no idea about the difference in their sound with the last lineup change~ At this point I'm a little reluctant to listen to their old stuff, since I really like Unleash and if it's apparently so different I'm afraid I might not like it :P

    Welllll, I got RUIN and DESTINATON from CD Japan, it's through their proxy but it was pretty fast nonetheless. Their live singles are usually available on mercari, sometimes they even don't cost an arm and a leg AND there's also an MH member (the author of this post in fact) who regularly goes to their shows and offers a shopping service on FB. 

     

    Also I'll maaaaybe be selling the doubles that I'm gonna have after these arrive so, AGARTHA normal edition, RUIN normal edition, ANOTHER PAIN, EVERGREEN and DECAYED.

    He was caught with marijuana not sure if arrested and yes, they have subsequently cancelled and refunded all of the shows planned after Unleash~ 

     

    They've all been quiet on social since then, as expected. That's as far as I cared to follow the situation ;)

    I've got the same problem, I hated doing the dishes so I DID get a dishwasher. Lemme tell you, it does not solve the problem ^^;;

    Did you manage to know what does this CD have? Judging by the description, it's a live-distributed CD and has the same song it points to. If not, pretty probably a message or a comment?

    Welllllll.... yes, that's the one I saw, in fact I'm the one that bought this whole thing because I've lost last shreds of restraint apparently  and I will now have duplicates of half of these BUT THE BOTTOM LINE IS I will let you know when it gets here ^^;; it's obviously going through proxies so it might take a while tho~ 

     

    But just as you, I assume this CD has the song that the QR led to.

    I can confirm that yes, it gets better in season two! ^^ the science-fiction is less cheesy and dare I say, more believable, and it's overall more engaging, so just, wade through the first one I guess~
