  1. honestly, I like the song, but it leaves one underwhelmed like it was for me with doukeshi...I listen to it a few times and don‘t really return to it. However, very stable song.

But to be real, the only song for me (however I have not heard a big portion of their discography!) that really remained with me is koenig der dunkelheit.

and cmon guys, engrish is part of VK...I‘m not annoyed by it whatsoever.

Lately they have been a lot with youtube and accessibility of their songs, maybe they are trying to further broaden their fanbase (and get some 💰 ) until a possible disbandment after their 20th anniversary?

  2. My advice: don‘t try to change her mind. If she‘s willing to hold on to her son, it‘s okay, even though he might not deserve this. She‘s a mother, afterall and it is excruciating to realize: damn, my son is a failure. Hence, have I failed?

I know it might be nerve-wrecking but in my opinion it is not your business to convince her that she shouldn‘t hold on to him.

However, you don‘t owe her to go along with that. If you say she is downplaying the effect of his actions towards you guys, point it out and that it is hurtful to you. Always expect her to respect your view on the situation and the consequences your view has. Respect her clinging to her son, but demand that you won‘t go along with that.

  3. Guess I wrote it somewhere in this forum already, but...Arche is my favorite, and I love it to the extent that I would dare to say it is my favorite album ever. I agree with the flop tracks you mentioned (although Inferno is the only track that I really think is not fitting into the album). But all the other tracks I love soo much, they speak to me on a personal level and I think Shinyas drumming is particularly well-fitting. Everything on this album sounds so perfectly well-matched, I guess to some people it is too ‚perfect‘?

Dum spiro spero is my 2nd favorite, I just like the long tracks, like a symphony that takes you through different places. Not too much into the mix though.

I don‘t really get the hate for marrow of a bone...it has some really nice tracks with raw emotion, which is what dir en grey fans like I guess? And Uroboros is great, too...it‘s gloomy track Bugaboo made me their fan!

I don‘t listen too much to withering, though musically I think Insulated is their worst album. However, I do enjoy live performances of its songs, so I guess in the end you cant do else but have slight :tw_heart: for anything they do.

  4. watched Joker today...

I thought the movie was kind of too-much and cliché-like depicting Joker‘s state of mind...like, no, the real ‚fucked up people‘ are wayy more subtle.

that‘s why I rarely connected to him, tho I did feel the ‚you guys decide whats funny/good...‘ etc.

I was soo annoyed by the music, like, have more variety! Every two minutes you hear that screechy cello or what it was...how boring

Mr Phoenix, however, won my heart.

  5. The little toy cars are so ridiculous, I mean a fidget spinner (I own one lol) or a trash can you can use, but those little toy cars are so tiny I wouldn‘t even give this to kids because they would end up choking. And NO, they are too ugly to even display.

  6. Most of it all, I liked their outfits a lot! (Ok Shinya looks just as usual, but Kyo looked so damn cool with his haircut + suit. Kaoru, too, very nice fabric and cut,  and then Die with a sleeveless suit-look.  Toshi...was flexin' as usual.)

also Kyo shouting while cigarette in mouth was very impressive :O

  7. Monochromanians, I saw the thread ridiculing his project when I wasn‘t a member of your community yet 😋

I really like Genesi! The lyrics are a bit cringy, but I really liked it. It‘s unfortunate he (they) didn‘t release the rest of their songs...

( Genesi > The world of mercy, btw 😘)

  8. Plotwist: Takumi is support member of Dir en grey

    :kyo:

no, the song is not really sukekiyo, the beginning part gave me a bit of their vibe but that‘s about it.

Plus, I find myself skipping to the 5 minutes part or so (where the heavy guitars kick in), I can‘t really appreciate the song as a whole piece.

Edit: and I mean, Infinitum already kinda felt like a leftover compilation, so was this then the leftover of the leftover?

    :kyo:

  9. The song is cool, but it definitely does not need the length it has. The ‚musical message‘ comes across kind of sloppy that way, I don‘t feel a development, climax or break or anything that would ‚justify’ the length. The piano part, atmospheric part etc. are cool, the ‚freak out‘ parts are so much out of place and do not fit.

Thats my first impression at least, will write here if my impression changes after more listens.
