Wow that Innocence B-side is certainly.. something.

I honestly think lie. saves the whole single. I don't like INNOCENCE but Lie. could be my favourite nazare song against maybe they don't know about us

It's an amazing song, original and with a great atmosphere, also I believe its one of their heaviest songs, it's relentless and I hate the fact that the releases people here consider mediocre or too weird are my favorites, whereas I dislike all songs from IDEAL and the INNOCENCE song

I'm not the praying type but I appreciate the sentiment. Pray for me if it gives you strength but he is already gone.

I didn't mean praying, I meant simply sharing your pain and empathize in my thoughts, just so that you are not suffering alone, I haven't suffered your loss and I'm not hurting a fraction of what you are, but you are not alone, and I'm just a fraction of the people rooting for you. Sorry if I sound condescending or naive

  3. I like this alot! I know nothing about composition, but this sounds to me like a ost more than anything, with alot of tonal (not harmony tonal, emotion tonal) changes and swaps. I think I will listen to it in my free time, take that as a compliment please

  4. Do you know if Issei has chilled after DIMLIM? He seemed sorry in his departure of DIMLIM and apparently he is asking YouTube channels to remove their music instead of just striking down, I would like him to rethink his attitude

  5. I really hope Kidoairaku goes online to listen to it... I'm still bitter about being forced to pay 50€ to listen to live releases...

Honestly, I don't 100% understand the need to pick it apart and try to figure out how certain genders are supposed to or tend to like vk. I wish we could just sort of enjoy it and leave it at that but I guess that's not realistic. As a trans person (I bring this up because I used to be a "typical teen female fan" and am now a male fan, so I've been on both sides), it was always a mixed bag of loving the style and wanting to be like/dress like them, being attracted to the pretty members, and loving the music and the scene in general. It was like that from the beginning for me and honestly I would bet that it's mostly mixed of a few or even all of those things for most people. It's true that I used to be more into the members back then, but I think that had more to do with me being a teen than my perceived gender at the time lol. I still find a handful of members good looking but that's not much of a draw for me anymore (I am gay though, and js but I'm getting sick of seeing the claim on here that "gay men aren't attracted to androgynous men" lmao speak for yourself henny). Now I love the music and I guess I am pretty into the collecting aspect of it, but I think I have always been. I've always been into the aggressive, harsher sounding bands (UnsraW used to be one of my favorites back then) so idk if that really has anything to do with it. I'm more into the style than ever too, I started trying out my own vk looks within the last year. That's my personal experience anyway. And as others said, of course there is a difference between western fans' experiences/tendencies and those of Japanese fans. Also, I think the culture is changing over in Japan surrounding male fans. I think they're becoming more common and band members in newer bands are becoming a bit more open minded about it. Especially backed up with what Paraph was saying. The whole vk culture has changed so much even from when I first got into it and I definitely think that's part of it that has changed for sure, even if just by a bit.

The reason why I asked this question is exactly to force myself to close the gap between male and female inside of me, to be more like the female vkei fans.

Females are all 'kyaa!' 'kyaa!' and they like to gossip.

Most males seems bi so they all are also 'kyaa!' 'kyaa!' and they like to gossip.

the few straight ones we have likes to listens to heavy bands and keep silent while laughing at the peeps who participate in the vk drama that actually only involves the western fangirls and bi's destroying their keyboards.

    That's an awful generalization

Nowhere, and those who have it aren't willing to share it. It'll be one of those things lost to history or some on the next album.

Thanks for the info. I wish I could have gone to their live and listened to it

Just look at Dir en grey's similar artists on Last.fm, all VK bands harharhar.

I mean come on, Sadie is a VK band correct? Rentrer en Soi was also a VK band right? Yet they all had vocal training from Kyo or give credit to Kyo personally working with their vocalist to hone their vocal technique. To say that Dir en grey has no connection to VK is hogwash. Just search bandmen blogs and you'll find a post here and there with Toshiya or Kaoru hanging out back stage at some tiny little VK dive gig.

Like I dunno, Kaoru and KISAKI chillin.

    kaoru-n-kisaki-2007.jpg

So basically I agree that Dir en grey is still VK-ish. They certainly don't dress up anymore and are very casual but their connection to VK is still there, though more or less indirect.

    __

My controversial opinion is that VK fans don't care about the music.

Okay, that statement is more of a joke but there's still some truth behind it. Just face it, most of us were drawn to VK because of how flashy and colorful it is. A lot of us were originally anime fans and VK is basically anime IRL almost. The guys are so colorful, so outrageous looking and are essentially a fantasy character. So it's easy to get into VK when anime was your gateway. That's why I think cosplaying bands, RPing as bandmen and writing fanfiction is so common because that's something that is done in the anime fandom. So seeing it among VK fans really doesn't surprise me and why I don't think it's a bad or weird thing either.

So basically when someone claims they don't care about the image at all, yet have entire Last.fm profile full of nothing but VK I call bullshit. There is absolutely no way you don't care about the looks. It's why almost all of us are here in the first.

And you know what? Who the fuck cares if that's what drew you in and is your main reason for sticking around. Trying to get on your high horse and claim you are better than everyone else because you don't masturbate to Kamijo every night is more obnoxious and worse than the girls that admit they get off every night to fanart picture of Kamijo molesting HIZAKI.

Anyway, I'm in a hurry and on my phone. I don't think I really explained myself that clearly. I don't mean to say we all want to fuck bandmen but we're all still vane and pretentious so get over yourself and accept that you are just as superficial as the rest of the VK fandom. Deal with it.

I got into Vkei because of DISREIGN (please don't judge) and I admit that I wouldn't have listened to the music if the makeup of until the fade and the name of the band itself weren't that cool. Case in point, AWOKEN BY SILENCE is basically DISREIGN without the vkei aspect and I probably wouldn't have listened to the band itself because of the not-as-original name, so as someone who is just a extremely casual vkei fan, I say you are right at least about people like me

Yeah, you just have to follow them on LINE. They usually post the videos for songs and stuff a little earlier on there before putting them on YouTube. + Be warned though, NAZARE update notifications are almost spam they pop up that often. haha

THANK YOU, I have been looking for jingai coda so much, you always help me find music

Finally got around to listening to荊海 BEYOND, and I have to say they've improved drastically since the last I heard them.

It's almost unbelievable that they pulled this off kind of improvement haha.

Can anyone who has listened to the latest single tell me if they're still working with this play style?

I'll have to keep my eye on NAZARE this year for sure.

You can listen to ideal (new single) on youtube

Anyone else catch "Sense of distrust" that was released on line? (Seems to be taken from the CODA single) Not sure what to make of the track to be honest, some cool riffs and moments in there but has that usual kind of "messy" sound that Nazare seem to be really great at with a very mediocre chorus. Not necessarily bad, just a bit weird. haha.

How did you get to listen to it? Can you get the singles songs on the line app?

  13. I'm getting really hyped to listen to it but I don't want to get my hopes up, can someone who has listened to the songs tell me what they sound like?

  14. They recently had a live limited mini album (jingai beyond) which was easy to find, but this release seems to be one of those impossible releases, will it be like that?

  15. 5 hours ago, Kabukichoatmidnight said:

No problem, will PM it to you. Yeah I know what you mean, it is a ballache as the prices for CDs/DVDs are generally pretty high as well as paying postage from Japan + customs charges and all that crap. Not to mention the prices of live limited releases.... I personally have cooled down a lot on buying vkei releases and only really buy stuff by those bands I know are good and wont disappoint. haha. Or if another band releases something particularly special, which unfortunately with todays vkei seems to be pretty sparse in the sea of "generic" bands that are out there.

I personally really love what nazare is doing

I don't care really to be honest, haha. Just happy to help spread it to those who haven't got it. The whole live only thing is a bit of a rip off and there's only the most miniscule chances of people outside of Japan even being able to buy it at all (though if you can it's second hand for a ridiculous amount of money) so yeah, happy to send it to other people if they want it. + Other users here have uploaded plenty of other stuff for everyone to download which I've taken advantage of, so would be shit of me to not share anything if people want it and I can offer it.

But yeah here is the link, only active for 7 days apparently so don't hang around too long. ;)

Thank you so much!!! But I missed it :( I have been very busy with exams, if you could re-upload I would appreciate but if it's too complicated it's okay because I like to deal with the consequences of my actions when I can, I really do feel grateful for your generosity either way

Supporting vkei bands is too expensive!!!! Except when they do worldwide release of course
