Did their hair, makeup, and wardrobe staff take a blindfold challenge this week?
-
They toured with Deftones almost immediately after, so no band conflicts. Audience reaction was pretty lukewarm. They haven’t played American festivals since then.

Yeah, that’s the feeling I’m getting too. They already did one fake out, I’m 75% sure that this is the same thing (although I can’t place the origin of the song). MiA is just fishing for hype at this point, and failing.

Is this even their song, or is it another sync job?

Was close to getting my Miyavi Firebird LP signed in Toronto, but was told that there would be no autographs for non-fan club members once I flew there.

Those who find genuine interest in a genre will typically carve out their niche of artists w/ similar characteristics and then bounce around, his broad-brush artist selection doesn't indicate that (This might come off a little gatekeep-y). BUT, you can't build a large channel based on only your interests though... Which leads us back to the start.
Gatekeepy, but true. When he mentions what he listens to outside of his channel, some patterns do come up, and while a couple of big names like BTS are mentioned, you can tell that it’s not his regular musical diet.
I prefer Baldman for that reason. He’s open to trying new things, but he’ll at least be fairly honest in his assessment and try to analyze the content beyond just gushing.

MacRyanMac, his approach is probably a combination of being really Canadian (and not wanting to offend) and wanting to attract views.
Does a guy that grew up listening to post-hardcore really enjoy all of these K-pop acts, or is it just so that he can attract a horde of fans? Then again, I used to think the same thing about VK fans, so I suppose anything is possible.

is this that on VK band with Chinese members or something?
DuelJewel was that tiny-ass band that got their big break at a Texas Anime con back in 2002.

I’m hoping that due to Kisaki being “known to police”, that might make them more likely to believe his accuser.
I’m encouraged that bands seem to be distancing themselves from him, and have been for a while. I get that due to cultural reasons, explicitly calling him out might have been seen as crass. It’s a step in the right direction.

In 7 years, they never released any dvd but they released it only in japan, and I had to paid like 100$ for that god damn dvd, and got it like 2 years after it was released. Why the hell didn't they released it internationally? I wanted to hear them live so bad, they even played some shows in the US. They are my favorite band, and it was killing me not having their dvd. I was searching for it everywhere and couldn't find it. I agree with most of what people said. The fan base is also a pain in the ass. I don't have friends that like Visual Kei, I tried several times online, this year I even joined some facebook groups, but god damnit, all they could talk was The GazettE and only that one band. I've been following the scene since like 2006 and never made a online friend that I could share my passion with. People often judge me because I listen to japanese music. I remember one girl that once said to me, "Why don't you listen to music like everyone else?". I also hate the live-limited releases. They cost so much if they someone wasn't kind enough to share it. And well, the shipping from Japan to Canada. I bought Dadaroma's DVD and that shit cost me 120$. 70$ for a live dvd is soooo expensive. For an example, I bought like Delain's dvd, it cost me like 40$, but I had 2 live cds with it. Same with Nightwish. Why does VK cost so much? I'm also somehow that likes to buy cds and have a collection. My current collection probably cost me 5000$ since 2008. and well, I often have to download stuff as I don't have much money, and well, when I share stuff it gets uploaded everywhere. I rarely buy stuff anymore except for alsdead (now AllS). Anyway, that was me complaining haha.
The cost and the continued obliviousness of some bands is what led me to listen to more American and Canadian bands back around 2005-2015. I’ve gotten back into VK recently, but I’ve pretty much given up hope of bands coming anywhere within driving distance to me. If they wouldn’t do it during the “boom”, they certainly won’t do it now.

The X album can't be finished yet because yoshiki is finishing his dubstep apprenticeship with Skrill.
Sonny Moore is a big weeb, but he was more of a J-pop weeb than a VK weeb.

Think I ordered from J-XYZ like...once. Markup and slow shipping led me to order elsewhere in the future. I suppose that they re-branded after having a lukewarm reputation for so long.

Well, then at least the vocalist can’t get pissy with him.
Is he just a 0.1g no gosan fan, or does he just love the scene?
