Revisited this thread and just noticed your embed link I must be a special snowflake since that "pseudo-glam rock-ish-grab-your-balls" scream @Decadence's chorus is what makes it memorable to me Also: *wink wink* Anti-idols.

"Koteosa kei"? Did some mini-Oshare fangirl circle invent this or does it really have a legit, "professional" background? (e.g. being discussed in mags, by critics and alike etc.) "Kurofuku kei" has no point either when you consider countless numbers of vk bands sporting "dark, blackened looks" at some point of their respective careers... (Buck-tick? LOL)

Good to see that there are other people than me willing to see them progress out of their comfort zone (GALLOWS was literally blank delivery tbqh) We have a good share of some "neat oogaboogacore" already (e.g. "All this I'll give you"), Hazuki - time to move on!

Good ol' TK striking again~ (Fun trivia: TK's solo career contributed a lot to my liking of anything LTS/TK-related - dominating radio-friendly elements in his earlier release + singles made it easier for me to digest their usual, brickwalled loudness) Besides single tunes, I dug the late 90s dance poppy vibes in "Spiral Parade" and Chara duet in "Shinkiro" a lot (highlights! )

H O W E D G Y But in all seriousness, Nekkichi can correct me if I understood this incorrectly (it's hard to figure anything out from Oricon now that they have ditched sales numbers for good): "Beautiful Deformity" had the worst debut charting position (#8 ) in Gazette's major full-length history + the said release stayed there for 7 weeks only (compare: "Stacked Rubbish" was #3 during the first week and Oricon chart listing time was 11 weeks) - much worse than Division and Toxic tbqh

@Nisimaldar: I don't know if you are familiar with this but Bobby had a cool verse in one of Epik High's latest tunes (3:50-ish and he's not bad at all, no): (totally expected lol)

Yay for Wagakki!

After being totally disappointed by their latest effort (skipping button was a trustworthy friend~), I decided to give "The Mantle" a try Totally worth it.

Shion definitely - and why? KnT is surely one of those many consider to be as "Mucc essentials" - yes, the album deserved its status for being one of the few, nicely done "concept-based" vk albums at that time. On the other hand though, as Jig mentioned, "Kuchiki" does not really have any "everyday listening" value. It's not a bad album, no -the album itself is just too "heavy "(as in emotionally) to digest and requires a lot of focus from a normal listener. Edit: yes, our community includes certain individuals who don't mind blowing out angstfests like "Isho" or the title track while shopping/going out (as a case in point - whatever floats your boat though). Consider my comment to be more at a general level - no judging etc. Shion has a wide palette of genres which Mucc managed to explore and experiment successfully, not to mention some classics from single ("Fuzz", "Libra") and non-single ("Fukurou no Yurikago", "Anjelier") territory - would you imagine those 4 in the same album? I wouldn't either, and that is what makes Shion more awesome and much worthier when we speak of listening values. In addition to everything I mentioned above, I often acknowledged that Mucc was always about "change" - and they emphasized it clearly in here.

BOTH? OHP says that "and Zero" is the only instrumental track afaik

I think we never discussed this subject afaik but either way, let's breathe some life into this thread: What are/is your favorite performance(s) from latest DSS Budokan DVD? Despite being my least favorite performance of the said song (Budokan 2012 version takes the lead), I'd go with 'Vinushka' due to the fact that it feels less 'try-hard' and 'dry' than other songs off both days. The biggest problem lying around there was pretty much the way mixing/mastering folks compressed band's sound - to the point where 'live experience' is eventually disappearing imho. DSS was not clearly considered to be played live, unlike say, MOAB (done during touring) and UROBOROS (read the former + they went into it straight away without fussing with "deepness"). In addition to my previous question, what is your "THE favorite, all-time live performance" by DEG? (I added/emphasized "THE" here for a reason) Mine would be this: One of the few DEG remakes I really 'welcome' (Why? Roles of each member are in balance in here) and man, you gotta love their synchronized play! (the original is still a goodie classic tho, the solo etc.)

Inclusion of an arab fighter is still in question, not to mention the fact that they MIGHT CONSIDER dropping out some old staple characters (Nina, Yoshimitsu) - talk about an instant hype killing in case that happens...
-
Which is why police forces are most probably taught to disarm "dangerous individuals" w/o killing them in the process and giving them a chance to retaliate + they should have used hailers as I said + they gunned him down in an instant, roughly put - how do you justify that act? As far as I see it, the way officials described his death perfectly suits for a case of unprofessional, cold-blooded murder (at least according to normal, healthy sane). I haven't seen separate threads for such matters, but it'd be nice to have one.

I might be the least member you'd expect to do some necroing in a hip hop-related thread, but what are your top hip hop albums of this year so far, guys (besides RTJ2 ofc lol) ? Consider this to be my lazy attempt in grabbing some must-tries from one place instead of going around inside circles x) When it comes to me and my vibes 'til this point, Freddie & Madlib were really ill with their Piñata-album: Chill~ (and I don't find Danny to be a nuisance in here lmao) Not to mention that HMM had "Bestiary" out as well (Rob's flow daaamn): (I am currently on Rob Sonic's latest solo effort - sounding fine!) PLUS new Clipping - which might have been a brilliant execution w/o "post-ironic hip hop" in "Tonight" (oh, and this made me realize Gangsta Boo is a real pain to listen to, ergh) - LMFAO exists for BS like that ffs. I've also had a really hard time digesting Busdriver's newest relase

Not really big on these samples, but yeah I hope Tzk steps his game up and "embellishes" new Meji repertoire with his lovely lyricism - Mejibray's poetical highlight as an example: Some can already recognize this one lol
