Now that I'm in full on JRock revival mode, I also decided to give Mucc another chance. I've never disliked them, but I never really got into their music. But I have to say, my teenage self was WRONG. Listened to Gokusai on youtube, and it's a great album indeed! I kind of like the way it'd set up, every song is unique, and it seems as if it follows some kind of concept. I just added another CD to my "soon-to-buy" list.

My last music-related buy escalated quite quickly for there were many records on sale. Now I'm poor, but quite happy as well...haha

I'm so mad at myself for getting into them a year after I've been to Tokyo....just saw modern garde for 1000 yen on the website of a shop I've been to...sigh. But I also found it in a anime/vk shop not far away from my hometown. It's 23 euros though. Whyyy.
But, on a brighter note (not for my bank account though), I finally bought M.E.R.R.Y, Nonsense Market, Peep Show, Under-world and nu chemical rhetoric! Except for nonesense market, they were all on sale for 8,95 :)))
I'm definitely planning on getting modern garde as well.

Tension seemed really high during the DSS era. Not sure if it was because of the atmosphere surrounding Japan post-tsunami or if it was just the band getting tired of each other. Considering they barely even worked together in the same room during the recording of DSS, my guess is the latter? 
 
The absence of not playing the songs together as a band as they were writing them became really obvious once they toured behind the album. None of that shit was written with live performances in mind, hence why most DSS material doesn't work when played live. 

A bunch of our classmates (including me) decided to skip today's first class because there wasn't supposed to be anything important there, and the few who actually still went to the class decided to troll us a bit... They told us we'd been given an assignment to write a 4-page essay and return it before 3pm, and they even went as far as editing a whole pdf file where this "assignment" and all its details and instructions were given. Goddamn we all fell for it and started panicking. (no one seriously questioned it because one of our teachers actually did something like this a few days ago, suddenly giving us only a few hours to write a 4-page essay and everyone got super mad about it...) So when they finally revealed they had just been trolling us and there were really no essays or anything everyone got pretty mad at them at first but just laughed in the end. It was honestly really impressive how good they got us. I don't think I'll ever trust anything they say anymore though...

Yeah, 20 hours sound awful...our airport is one hour away, I can't even imagine having a travel time to the next airport that is longer than the flight itself. But I'm sure it'll all be worth it!

I CANNOT believe I really just got into an argument with a bunch of white girls from England about how the N word is not about them, so just because they think it's funny means they can use it as a casual cuss word. LIKE WHAT YOU GUYS LTERALLY HAD A PERSON THAT THAT WORD WOULD APPLY TO STEP IN AND SHOW THAT THEY DONT LIKE IT BEING USED THAT LOOSELY AND YOU ARE STILL LIKE NAH ITS OK?????

My first boyfriend used to constantly say the N word, especially towards his black coworkers. I was mortified that he thought that was okay. That, and he allowed his coworkers and others to call him a ch*nk. o_O I had to sit him down and tell him why he shouldn't say the N word or allow people to call him racial slurs. 
 
I've heard a lot of people say ch*nk and not think of it as a racial slur and it's always bothered me. I had a classmate in high school who got extremely visibly angry/crying upset over being called that by our classmates to the point he knocked desks over. Always stuck in my memory. (also yah my hometown is racist af)
 
I swear a lot. A lot. I've never once thought saying a racial slur was okay. Like, why?

Always liked Rammstein quite a lot, but their stuff from 09's Pussy and onward have been very lackluster. I like themes they go for and all, but as long as the music isn't good enough it's not close to enough. But their three first albums are complete classics, and both Reise, Reise and Rosenrot are solid albums. Fun fan! Hope to catch them live someday.

I have a stalker right now. She breaks into a room in the house in the middle of the night and waits for me to leave my room and  then watches me using the toilet. I sometimes let her sleep in my bed (and that can be tiresome because she wants direct body contact the whole time), but she's not allowed to go through my underwear drawer (although she really wanted to.)
 
Don't worry, it's just our adorable neighbours' cat. She's sleeping next to me on the couch right now.

It's actually quite hard to NOT be political. I think it's great when musicians use their fame to support a cause.

Actually, I like that he's political. lol That I can get behind and I don't like disassociating music or musicians from politics. Maybe because I'm an artist myself? Not music-wise, but a lot of my own work can get very political. So I totally get why celebs with a platform get political and don't get why people feel they shouldn't considering a lot of music is political.

Even though I prefer his old stuff, I also like his new music. Granted, some of that electronic songs sound like cr**, but he had some catchy songs the last few years. I've seen him live three times, and he's still good. Very engaging and energetic. BUT I have to say (and many fans are going to hate me for that) I dislike his "inspirational" speeches that he's got going on. I mean, let's be real here, he's telling ppl the same thing every single concert. For me it always sounded fake and a bit rehearsed, but the fans seemed to love it. Well, well...

I also saw him live in 2009/2010, and while he was talking a lot during the concert, it wasn't as much/as fake as it was on his last two concerts I've been to (2015 and 2017.) It's always sth along the lines of: "we're a unity", "follow your dreams", yadda yadda yadda.
