On newer Japanese bands such as BABYMETAL
"In regards to BABYMETAL, you just can’t say anything bad about them, can you? The band’s very talented musicians and the girls are powerful performers. The singers are very young hard working ladies who could be your own daughters, how could you not think they are doing a great job? That’s almost like a trick question, I feel."
a surprisingly wholesome answer from kyo

Did anyone notice at the NY show last night that Kyo tried to have us sing the last part of the chorus in Rubbish Heap and no one could do it? He slumped his shoulders and tossed the mic without finishing the song lmao as sad as that sounds I find some sort of humor in it lol
Never seen a man so disappointed

Sukekiyo needs to stick with what tracks 10 and 12 sound like. Track 13 is good because it's something they haven't done before but yeah I knew this wasn't gonna top Adoratio but it's still got some standouts
on an unrelated note mimizozo is so slept on for being one of sukekiyo's best, make another pls -

Tada, Mada Watashi is absolutely beautiful. Chorus reminds me a bit of the one from Kugui in IMMORTALIS

Seriously though 100% I want they to go as soft as possible. No screaming, no skank beats, no downtuned riffage, no exaggerated kyopera. Just pretty, wholesome music like "Higeki wa..." or "Namamekashiki...". The heavy stuff wore out its welcome.
I love their heavy stuff but also give me an album that sounds like Kaishun pls ty

was there a band named Buk Buk or did I hallucinate that

basically they were just like we've been a venue for 80 years, it's the band's fault lol sorry

we're in the age when major bands vogue in a white room for four minutes, slap a stock ink blot clip on top of that and call it a day.
garden is an independent cinematic SPECTACLE compared to that shit tbh
I agree, which is why I'm still waiting on someone to tear it apart

I've seen them twice here in the states and the setlists have been more "colorful" than what EU is getting now.
I've seen em twice in the states too lol and literally the only thing they had over the EU setlist rn is Vinushka when I saw them, both times
I'd rather take the EU one over the times I saw them in NY and Philly though lol -
lookin like an NA setlist lol

Ordered it from CD Japan, in early August, so hope I won't have to wait for it as long as for The Kanmuri's recent CD 😐
Back to the topic, I'm liking Keibetsu no Hajimari, Rubbish Heap, Utafumi. Also Keigaku no Yoku and the way how it starts calm and slowly progresses into total fury.
Plus, what be a Diru album without a more mellow song, like Aka or Ranunculus?Overall, I've noticed ever since TMOAB came out, Diru has been putting out aggressive and calmer albums in turns.
Uroboros had their fair share of heavy and soft, melodic songs.
DSS was dominated by much harder and rocking songs, save for Lotus and Vanitas (which even were the highlights in my book).
Arche was in some ways similar to Uroboros, with more Kyo's clean singing and even progressive songs.
And now we have Insulated World, which leans on the heavier side againAnyone else has that feeling?
I've realized this years ago and im glad you feel the same lol. now i know im not crazy

THE DEEPER VILENESS fucking destroyed me as I expected

Was the production of the booklet rushed or something? Never seen so many mistakes before.
wouldnt be surprised, the members themselves said this was the most rushed they've ever been to meet a deadline, so odds are production was rushed too and overlooked minute details

why do they keep overcompressing and putting that disgusting distortion filter on kyo's harsh vocals now? That high scream sounded like a strangled chicken, just keep it with the slight reverb like in DSS, jeez
Song was good tho, definitely better than the D'erlanger cover
